Oh boy, I can't wait for people to not read the actual article, and instead a blogger's interpretation of what they thought he said!

    *reads this thread*

OH BOY, MY DREAMS HAVE COME TRUE

If you read the article you would see that Wada said "We need to stop being the "typical Square Enix", which means he's talking about how they need to stop just being "That company that pops out a Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest every once and awhile", he's saying that they need to expand their portfolio of games and do more than just things with "Final Fantasy" in the title and remakes.

Hence why Wada is extremely excited for the worldwide release of Infinite Undiscovery, and why he wants to company to cut back on the Mobile Phone market which is saturated with cash-in titles.

That's because they were all designed by the same artist, Tetsuya Nomura.

Sora is actually a ripped design of Sion from "The Bouncer"

They save money, that doesn't mean they save time. As mentioned, the fact that games like MGS4 and GTA4 blow cash because of their huge budgets is the reason worldwide releases happen for those games.

Infinite Undiscovery is the first game to attest to Square-Enix's new business model of Worldwide Releases, Infinite Undiscovery will launch Worldwide in all territories on September 2nd. Developer Tri-Ace is still up to their dastardly terrible Voice-Acting ways, but they always make up for it by coming up with the most enticing Action RPG battle systems, so I'm looking forward to it.

And yeah, it's an Xbox 360 exclusive, an interesting thing to note is in the press release for Infinite Undiscovery, Square Enix slipped in a small subtle comment that IU is "the first in a long new lineup of Square Enix titles for the Xbox 360"

So the details of the issue were revealed, apparently the "graphical improvement" was just the assumption of someone reading the cover which said that it would be "better" on the PS3. There won't be any graphical improvements necessarily, but load times will be shortened and the DLC from the PC and 360 version are included in the game, along with 2 exclusive weapons: Pyroplasm and Shock Gauntlet.

Issue also mentions that God of War: Chains of Olympus is being ported to the PS2

Skies of Arcadia sequel will be announced soon for the Wii (along with another revived Sega franchise, chances are it's Shenmue)

Oh, and EGM rated Ninja Gaiden 2 higher than Metal Gear Solid 4

Bioshock was beautiful, so the fact that they're suggesting there's a Graphical update somewhere in there, consider me interested, I'd like to see what that is.

The fact that Roosterteeth got invited to Bungie's development studio before the game was released, got to play it, then got to have their character voices in Halo 3's campaign as an easter egg, and then got to produce the introduction videos for the Legendary Map Pack for Bungie, I think that makes up for the fact that they didn't get Recon.

    Dreamcast!

You mean the "few exceptions" being..every good game on the console?

Regardless, the Dreamcast almost always got the superior versions of multi-platform titles because of it's better hardware and controller.

    Dreamcast!

Well, there's the regular bunch like

    Sonic Adventure 1
    Shenmue
    Marvel vs Capcom 2
    Phantasy Star Online
    Quake III Arena

And then these next weren't necessarily the most popular, most people don't remember them, but these were damn good games

    Timestalkers
    Centipede 3D
    Chef's Love Shack
    Skies of Arcadia
    Legacy of Kain
    Gauntlet Legends
    Whacky Races

And christ, then theres Ikaruga, Power Stone, Jet Grind Radio, Chu Chu Rocket, Ecco the Dolphin, Seaman (Hey You Pikachu for MANLY MEN), the beginning of Crazy Taxi, Samba Di Amigo (Pa Rapper who now?)

Dreamcast was a fcking amazing console. The death of the Dreamcast signifies the day that we realized the Hardcore can not support a console

Nintendo gets plenty of breaks, they shouldn't screw over Eur/Aus as bad as they do.

I must of forgot the part where MGS and GTA4 had a budget of $50 million dollars and with localization outsourced to entire development studios specifically to localize the games, and that Nintendo's development process is completely in-house, with the majority of Voices actually coming from employees of Nintendo Japan/America/Europe.

Yes the belated Europe launch is bullshit, and so is their excuse, but comparing it to GTA4 and MGS is unfair when those games get massive publisher funding and have entire studios dedicated to the localization process, and Nintendo as a company funds their games themselves and uses in-house employees for voice acting.

Not to mention that Nintendo uses feedback from the Japanese and US versions to actually tweak character balance and fix glitches for the Europe release. In Melee, for instance, Sheiks needles were tweaked, certain character's grabs changed in knockback, Falco had his Down-Air changed so that it was multi-hit instead of a single spike, a Link boomerang ledge glitch was fixed, Samus's grapple beam had a gltch fixed, etc.

It doesn't have a monthly fee, that just means there's optional downloadable content packs you can get. The game costs $15 to purchase, and then you can buy new races, quests, buildings, and a pack for alternate clothing separately for like $3 each if you so choose.

I'd say the game is definitely worth it if you've ever enjoyed a game like The Sims, Zoo Tycoon, Sim Theme Park, etc. because it's like those, only Final Fantasy themed. It starts out sorta slow as you go through the tutorials, but stick with it and it gets a ton better and you get so addicted to it xD

I don't quite get it, because to me it seems like having a bunch of people on the map for the sake of having a bunch of people on the map.

Like from what they say, really the 60 people are not all directly fighting each other, it's moreso like 10 people fighting another 10 people, 3 times over, and they all just happen to be on the same map. It's like if Valve put 2Fort and Gravel Pit on the same Map, sure when the server's full there's 60 people playing, but in actuality it's 2 completely seperate games taking place and just happening to be right next to each other, and saying it's on the same map. To me, the games could be completely separate and it wouldn't make a bit of difference, you're just mashing the games together for the sake of it.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, or perhaps I'll get it when there's demos or videos of it.

You've never had a vaccine? An immunization? Or had your blood drawn? What is so horrifying about a shot?

I'd hope you never have a family member born with severe autism, considering the statement that you'd rather refuse any kind of hope for treatment or help for the disorder because of big-bad needles, I'd feel bad for the child.

Nomura wouldn't have to compeltely remake anything, considering Nomura is the Director, and not in charge of the Battle system.

How many games have a history of switching consoles or going multi-platform? Uhh, more then you would think.

    Final Fantasy
    Dragon Quest
    Star Ocean
    Phantasy Star
    Resident Evil
    Grand Theft Auto
    Suikoden

On and on. In fact, Square Enix has yet to have a long-running franchise that hasn't switched consoles or gone multi-platform at one point.

Actually I was moreso referring to K.H.Nut, and Ann in part, seeing this as some kind of direct attack to their way of life, and that a cure meant for extreme cases of Depression and Autism possibly beign alleviated with this treatment somehow means that people in Black Suits are going to come and say "Oh, you're not normal enough, I'm going to INJECT YOU, BE NORMAL"

It's a treatment, not a cure or vaccine, it's a treatment to alleviate the detriments of the disorder. Treatment is always optional, not compulsory, even people dying of severe illnesses have the right to refuse treatment that could save their lives.

Did I miss the part where you have a PH.D in the human brain?

Did you know that the one of the same chemicals related to the pleasure of things like sex and love is also released when people eat chocolate? Our bodies have a multitude of chemicals and hormones that react to numerous things, certain smell receptors are also related to taste, pressure in the ear can be felt in the back of the throat, etc. So just because a certain thing is related to "sex" doesn't mean that it's an exclusive reaction to that, it could be the same chemical that makes you enjoy a certain types of food, smells, touch, etc.

As explained in the article, the same chemical related to pleasure from sexual release stimulates the part of the brain that allows you to distinguish between Inanimate and Animate things. How crazy is that, do you realize? Something as simple as feeling good after sex is a key component to your very ability to distinguish between what is alive and what isn't. So to someone with Autism who is completely closed of, they don't know the difference between someone's face showing anger or sadness, but with that part of the brain stimulated, for short periods the patients showed signs of empathy, perceiving emotions of others. This is significant improvement for a disorder that in extreme cases can lock a person inside of their own mind, just because able to recognize another human is progress and can mean a whole lot to these people.

No one is forcing you to take it, and if the treatment were explored, you wouldn't be forced to take it. Someone who's depressed isn't forced to take anything to make them happy, but they can choose to, treatment is an option.

I don't see why you're overreaction to it, like it's some military operation to "cleanse" the world of Autistic people, like with the Mutants in the X-men movies, it's just a hormonal treatment being researched.

Perhaps the fact that you see it that way is just evidence of some mild social ineptness on your part >.>
