Yeah, same here. I'm surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I really loved Dwayne Johnson's character in this. Also, the script is really good; so many quotable lines.

There is some controversy with the film surrounding the real victim, who wrote the book the movie is based on. All I have to say to that is, it was still a good movie. I didn't care much if it stuck true to what actually happened; I was there to be entertained by some story. If a lot of it is just fiction, then whatever.

Still, this is Florida we're talking about.

They also had Taco Bell boxes with logos that are from this decade.

Btw, what did you think of the movie?

A long distance relationship is one that is difficult to keep. I can say I've been in a few, but the longest one I had lasted almost two years. Sure, I was manipulated at times, but it was the happiest I had been in a long time.

A way to keep it going to is to try to be in moderate communication. Don't force yourself on the other person too much if you can. Also, try to find a hobby or two to just pass time. Maybe share a hobby and you guys can talk about it and encourage each other. Send letters to each other, talk on the phone when you can, and even send little gifts to show them how much you care about them.

Also, it sounds kind of harsh to say, but this is for any relationship really, don't get too attached too easily. That was definitely my problem, and it ended up that this girl didn't feel the same about me after how long we were together. You can become close, but it's always easy to picture the perfect person when you only see a certain side of them (or that certain side is as much as they are revealing).

Yeah; didn't get the chance to go to Knott's today. I did go to the movies though, which I absolutely enjoyed, so I guess that makes up for it.

Yeah, I would think so. There are some fun rides there; there are even some that my family doesn't want to go on because they're terrified of what could happen, but I so badly want to go on them because I'm an idiot. XD

    Haha,, yep.

The only close thing I'm doing to that today is going to Knott's Berry Farm. At least now I can go on those roller coasters without anyone worrying that I'm going to go into cardiac arrest.

Always did want to go skydiving...

Yeah, it happened a while ago. Whenever I think about when it happened, I can remember it so clearly, I start to shake a bit.

    Amd thanks.

Yes, that's why. But whenever I seem to get into my moods, this place has always been good to me and helped me feel better. Just feeling really grateful for that.

So yeah...its officially been six months since my heart transplant. It feels kind of odd really. It doesn't feel that long. And I feel very lucky.

So, yeah, thanks guys for always being there for me. And thanks for dealing with my dumb ass all this time.

Don't quite remember when that happened. Was it in an early episode? That would explain it.

    Yes, that's perfectly understandable.

The last thing that I really enjoyed from KyoAni was The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya. The story was actually good (they followed the novel really close) and it felt pretty dramatic. The only fan service in it was stuff that was already put in their by the original author.

    Exactly.

It's just more noticeable now since it's something that's aimed at females; totally different than the main audience who watches anime (in the west at least). It's okay to have overly moe girls that do absolutely nothing but to have overly moe guys that just piss around for a couple of seasons, that's wrong? Don't get me wrong, both of them are bad ideas, but they should be treated equally.

Granted, I can't make any judgement against the man service show since i haven't watched it yet.

That already happened. It's called K-On![DOUBLEPOST=1367042026][/DOUBLEPOST]
Sekirei comes to mind easily. Fan service almost ruined it for me, but the second half of the first season really won me over. And thankfully, it seems that they toned down on the fan service in the second season and really focused on the plot.

I thought that it was filled with lots of material, but makes absolutely no sense, and people end up just talking out of their ass.

Yeah, it kind of is like that. I kind of wrote the essay more to what I felt he would want from it, but I did try to put a bit of my own way of analyzing a film. And I'm someone who is critical about films (I can't seem to turn it off at points). And this is a movie that I have loved for a long time. I can still remember when I first went to see it in theaters and it really opened my eyes on storytelling, film making, and a whole bunch of stuff. This was the first movie that had me pay attention to the soundtrack; it played as if it were another character in the film.

While I do agree that there is plenty of hate against the series from people who have never seen it (this is mostly due to the fan base the show has around it), there are actually several people who have sat down through a good chunk of it and dislike it.

Thanks for all the help. The sad part is that the way I wrote it is kind of the format that my teacher follows, so that's the way he wants us to examine the films/write about them. While I see films in a different way he does, when I do apply his way of film analysis, I can understand what the meaning is behind it.

Really, I'm sticking with the essay I have because that's what's going to work with this teacher. But your input has really been helpful.
