Hey, haven't heard from you for a while (it's Tummer).
Side Effects was a rather small role for him, but his part worked (it's actually my favorite movie of the year right now). As for Magic Mike, I will say he did pretty well in that. Be in mind it was directed by Soderbergh (as was Side Effects), and it seems he knows how to direct actors.
Make cupcakes.
21 Jump Street was a turning point in Charming Potato's career. He was playing a parody of himself, which worked great. After that movie, it seems that he's been doing better. He's become a better actor. Magic Mike, Side Effectx, and even GI Joe two really showed him off one way or another.

Pillow fight?
Yeah, I guess I sounded more aggressive than what I intended. What I was trying to say was that it is unfair towards the movie to automatically think it's bad. I mean, early no one had hope for 21Jump Street, as did I, but it became one of the most talked about films of 2012.
I'm at least glad Pacific Rim didn't get the number one spot. You might not realize, but Kaiju films have a pretty niche audience. From the trailers, it was a glorified Transformers film (and it sort of was) and people have gotten sick of that. I mean, look at how poor Battleship was received last year. Grown Ups 2 has known names and seems broad. I'm not going to be upset that Grown Ups 2 did better because I haven't seen it. You probably haven't seen it, so you have absolutely no right to judge if it deserves to be better or not.
Kiss .
Computer runs it slow as does iPad. Technology is a cruel mistress.
How would we play this?
Mazel Tov.
Thank you, now I don't feel alone. And I personally need to care about the characters if I want them to achieve their goal. Becket wasn't anything special. The only one I liked was Charlie Day. It seemed like he was the only one with a fleshed out character. The reason why I love The Avengers (to use an example) so much isn't because of the fight scenes, but because I cared for the characters. They could have wrote it as a big dumb action movie, but they gave you a reason to care about why the main characters were fighting. And I hear that there is an entire hour left out of the final cut. The hour is mostly spent with exploring more with the world and having character development. So, there was potentially more to explore but they cut that out and left us with a great example of well used CGI but an overall meh movie.
I honestly do not feel that I'm making too much of it. To me, I'm putting the whole movie into perspective. Trust me, I know that it's silly to harp on the story of a monster movie. It is something to go see, but only as a spectacle for the eyes. The movie left me empty at the end of it all though. It had potential to explore and to do things different.
I will say that as a mech vs Kaiju movie, it really does deliver. It really shows off the size of the threat the Kaiju bring, and there are some things that were really fun about the fights. In that part, it does succeed. However my complaint is simply that it has this the tone the movie gave off right from the get go does not mesh with what it ended up being. To me, it wanted to be seen more than just mechs fighting Kaiju, but as the movie progressed, it just lost that idea. I really did like Charlie Day in the movie though. He really brought the awe and wonder of the world the movie set up. Also, his entire side of the story; that was something interesting. It's only slightly explored though and it really doesn't help in the long run. While it was my favorite part of the movie, I really do have to admit that Day's story could have been completely written out.
I realize that it may seem that way for me. To me though, it started off with that potential; to be so etching that had a good story. The tone of the film made it feel like it wanted to be taken more seriously than people were giving it credit. I mean, it really did have interesting points that it seemed like the movie would explore, but they are just left behind. And , it's over 2 hours long.if you're going to last that long, you need something driving it that makes it worth that run time to me. It seems that every movie that it going over 2 hours this summer needed one more look at in the editing room.
I will say that the effects are amazing. That's really it though. There were a lot of times where I couldn't tell what was happening in fights. In tems of story, the movie should have done something more simpler than this. The characters also pretty much suck. Charlie Day's character was the brightest thing for me.
I want this dog. Spoiler
There is nothing wrong with you. Heartache is a very terrible thing. I have been in your shoes though. It sounds like your ex Ida vampire, by which I mean he seems to be someone who sucks the life from you, but you can't keep away. I was in love with someone like that, and when she broke it off it practically killed me. I wanted her back, I was ignored, and I became depressed, suicidal and started taking sleeping medication just to make sure I wouldn't dream of her. I've gotten over her mostly, but there are days where I miss her. What your ex is doing to you is flat out wrong though. Manipulating you into things just to go back on his word. To me, that's extortion and is just not right. All the happiness you had with your ex will blind you to the bad times that they caused. When you can look back and see all the bad, that's at least a step in the right direction. It'll still hurt, but you'll learn to cope.
I haven't seen it yet, but I'm starting too find it the anime equivalent to Magic Mike, there's dumb fanservice, but there is actually a really good plot to it. Again, haven't seen swimming anime, but I'm kind of hoping for it to be like that just so I can laugh at K-On for not doing it right. But then again, it just looks like K-On,but gender bent.
First impressions? Current impressions? Last movie you watched? If you could be the side kick to any superhero, who would it be and why? How far would you walk on foot for a free lunch?
