I'm not sure if I ever said that I didn't like it. Really, I just thought the movie was "meh". I'm never one to spoil the fun of a movie for people. If you got more enjoyment out of it than I did, then I am sencerely happy for you. I guess my two cents isn't needed.
The only part I agree with on this is that there should be more support for original movies. Thus far, the best film of the year for me was Side Effects, a very original movie, but it seems like hardly anyone else watched it. There are some really good adapted films out there, but nothing is more freeing than something original. Putting my money behind Pacific Rim is a different story however (and I've gone into that in further detail previously in this as well as other threads).
