Okay, so I'm not the only one that thought this

Could someone please explain how to tell the difference between Annuities and Sinking Funds and Amortization? I understand the formulas, but every time I have a question in a quiz to tell what formula to use, I can't tell exactly which ones. Sometimes I take a guess because it sounds right and get the right answer, but that's not really understanding, and I'm asking here because I check here more than I do the site for math that I go to once every few days just to do a quiz. Here's a question I got wrong on one of the quizzes with such a question. I picked D because I thought it was because there was a goal that the guy was setting, and wasn't that one of the reasons for Sinking Funds to be used? See, I'm having a hard enough trouble explaining why I exactly picked the answer. I understand to use Present Value of Annuity and Future Value of Annuity if it's just those two question, and same for Sinking Funds/Amortization, but not if I'm trying to identify. I just can't figure out the exact difference. I know there's also set standards for something to be an annuity, but it seems like all the problems with Sinking Funds/Amortization have the exact same kind of setup.
That show can die in a black hole for all I care
So I'm guessing Phantom Pain had a mission that makes your blood boil?
I wish I even had 30 hours straight of free time.....now I'm sad. I've yet to even play today, I just think about all those sidequests and get tired. [in before someone plays Shia Labeouf's motivational speech] No, I will play this game and beat it before Tuesday, otherwise I'll never beat it because of Tales of Zestiria coming out.
Google Translate and a lot of videos in the language you want to learn with subtitles
I would not expect it from a hack-and-slash game, but Dragon Quest warriors has kept me playing for 30 hours without finishing the story yet. If nothing else, those sidequests will take up a load of your time. Well, that and it doesn't help when you're trying to find only a few certain items and not a single one drops in 40 minutes, and that's no exaggeration
I guess I don't know how bad it really is?
View attachment 43270 Rilia heard yelling coming from the other room and wondered who it was. She guessed she had a roommate, but she wasn't sure why they needed to yell. Then she remembered that the door was left open. Oops, maybe I should have closed it before looking around Rilia thought to herself. She went to the living room and saw a girl with long brown hair and golden, amber-like eyes and a blue-green ribbon in her hair. "Oh. You're not the miserable gremlin from earlier. You living in this apartment too? My name's Sarah. Sarah Anna-Marie Coleman. Longwinded, I know, but just call me Sarah and we won't have any problems." Rilia wasn't sure what to take of this girl. She seemed nice in her introduction, but what was up with the "miserable gremlin" line? Maybe she met someone she didn't like? Rilia thought it was best not to ask about it, in case it led to some problems. "Nice to meet you. My name's Rilia. So I guess we'll be staying in this room together?" @Morrigan Aensland

You're missing my point. I asked you about the other groups because in the end, every single one of them is whining about stuff being done to them and not being able to do the same back. They're all acting like children, and should just figure things out without complaining. I agree that these guys are going on about how this cop is being persecuted, and I find it incredibly dumb, but at the same time, I find what the Olive Garden did to him to be dumb as well. Once this became a whole thing of "cop was persecuted, we're going to make a big fiasco of this", it went overboard; the fact that the president of Olive Garden himself apologized says as much to me. And this kind of stuff happens all over, but we only see a small amount of it, and it always seems centered on a certain group of people.
You think police are the only ones that persecute others and complain when things don't go their way?
Don't forget to add in the experience they both have, which would actually give Tifa more of an edge. DB never seems to add that stuff in, but Yang hasn't had nearly as much battle experience as Tifa, not too mention their own physical limits too. I'm not saying that a child can't beat an adult, but we can't really count on simple things like manifesting fire when she doesn't even use it and someone who gets thrown around which can happen to anyone in a fight
Well, yet another school in Oregon has suspended a child because of a shirt. You know, I understand their reason for doing it, but it's still shallow thinking on their part. http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/or...-shirt-showing-gun/ar-AAflijQ?ocid=spartandhp How many people nowadays don't understand that it's the person that uses the tool that makes the tool bad? Not too mention the meaning behind the shirt the kid was wearing. If it was just a simple gun without anything, I'd maybe side a little more with the school, but some on, this kid was wearing a short honoring our military for crying out loud. Another strange thing happened at an Olive Garden where a police officer was kicked out, celebrating his birthday no less, just because he had his duty firearm on him. Come on people, what the hell? http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/mo...ecause-of-duty-gun/ar-AAflpTR?ocid=spartandhp
View attachment 43255 Acele wondered what the guy meant when he gave her joke an F. No one said she had to make jokes that made sense to other people. Well whatever, it didn't mean much to her. Besides, the jokes were more for herself anyways, just to keep her in a good mood. It seemed like the guy was having trouble though, since he kept rubbing his forehead. Maybe he was having a bad day? At that moment, some strange person kicked down their door and shouted at the top of his lungs. "GREETINGS MY FELLOW ROOMMATES! LET US BASK IN THE GREATNESS OF TESTOSTERONE!" Acele jumped back and her jaw dropped at the scene. She wasn't sure what just happened, but all she knew was there was a guy with a giant build in front of their doorway. The man with the girl in the kitchen, tears streaming down his face, yelled at the guy in the doorway, and the guy in the doorway just sort of leaped away, like nothing had happened. Acele was in a daze, trying to figure out what just happened. First she had a girl shout and run away out of nowhere, now a guy with muscles upon muscles shows up throwing doors down screaming something about....testosterone? What the heck was testosterone? She was going to need a dictionary to figure that one out. The guy in the kitchen introduced himself as Alistair. The girl seemed to pat his shoulders and he took it as a sign to leave. She watched as he left her a note and went out their door. She figured she might go and shut it so no one else leaps in yelling random words. As she closed it, she walked over to the girl who was now in the kitchen by herself. Just as she was about to ask the girl a question, she remembered Alistair saying something about her not being able to speak. "Hoo boy, now how are we going to do this?" She pondered on the dilemma that sat before them. "So you can't speak? Like, at all? You seem to understand Alistair well enough." Now came the hard part of the day: figuring out what to do with a girl who can't speak, and Acele with her little bit of patience. She needed to figure out how to communicate with this girl, and fast. View attachment 43256 Xane stood in the living room of the little home that was now his and his roommate's. Harley had laid some rules about him not being too loud, getting in their way, and other stuff, then walked away. Well, given that he really didn't do much besides keep to himself and train, that wasn't going to be too hard. He walked over to the door that Harley had pointed to and opened it up to see what was inside. To his surprise, the room was pretty empty, except for a few items strewn about. There was a bed in the corner of the room with a small desk in front of it. On the other side of the room was a wooden practice dummy used for martial arts, and against the bed was Xane's sword from home. He could probably get some practice in on the wooden dummy, but it was too bad he didn't have a companion to fight against. Working on a inanimate object that doesn't move doesn't give you real combat experience. "Wait, huh?" Xane double-backed and looked at the sword. He didn't have it when he woke up in that classroom, so how did his sword end up here? Well, whatever the case, he now had that with him. Good thing too, because he needed to do his workouts before the day ended. Even if he wasn't in his world, getting lax in his daily training wasn't going to help him get into the military. He figured the best thing to do was start with a few push-ups and dropped on the floor, putting one hand behind his back, and started going down, then pushing up. He didn't seem to have his magic with him in this place, so he couldn't use it once he started getting tired. Xane figured that might be best, since he didn't know how long he would go without his magic. He had gotten so used to using his magic through his training that working out normally might seem like he had gotten weak. At 100 push-ups, he was beginning to get warmed up and switched arms, working on his other side. He wondered what that Harley guy was hiding in that room of his, since he seemed pretty interested to get back to it. Xane tried not to think about it, since it wasn't his concern and kept with his workouts. He was only getting warmed up and it was already in the afternoon. He had to get started, since he usually spent a good five hours training every day at home, and that was without adding in his daily chores he had to do. View attachment 43257 Rilia walked into her room and gasped at what she found. The place looked like it was from inside a palace or something. Maybe this was a normal thing in this world, but where she was from, in her small village, there was never a place as nice as this. There was a giant open space right in front of her as she opened the door, with what looked to be some kind of kitchen to her right. She had never seen such a large kitchen either. There was a giant metal container sitting in there was well, and she wondered if that's where they kept the salted meat. She noticed two doors on opposite ends of the large room and took a look at the one on the left. Opening the door there was almost as big a space as the room from before. There was a bed in the back of the room, covering about a third of the back wall, with a dresser facing the bed on the opposite wall. There were arrows and a bow hanging around a window, and a desk sitting on the wall to her left. She walked in a little and noticed the room went further in on her left. She turned to her side and noticed some kind of shiny room connected, without any door to keep it separate. She figured it must have been a bathroom of some kind, because she noticed there was a tub. What she didn't understand was why there were pipes coming from the walls around it. There was a sink as well, with a giant mirror on the wall. Rilia could not believe where she was. Only castles had rooms this large and luxurious, and somehow she was living in it. She felt a little guilty, not wanting to leave it at all. Having grown up in a small village, she always worked hard for what she earned, and it wasn't very much at all. She had joined the war effort to help those that were in situations like hers, and even managed to get chosen by a dragon. Now she was in this strange place, without any magic, and she almost didn't want to go back to that hardship. Realizing what she was thinking, Rilia slapped her cheeks a little. It wasn't right to even think those thoughts. She needed to help those in need, and that's what she was going to do. Having all of these nice things was a distraction, and Rilia almost wanted to throw everything out. But she realized that while she was in this strange world she should take advantage of what she was given, and decided to just take it as is. If nothing else, she would certainly have an unbelievable story when she got him. @Hyuge ✧ @Saxima @Morrigan Aensland
View attachment 43253 Acele looked around the room and tried to figure out what was exactly in here. There was a bed against the far wall in the center, with a desk next to it. Across from the bed was a strange, flat, black box sitting on top of a dresser. She wasn't sure what to make of the thing, so she just left it be. In one corner of the room there was a rack hanging on the wall, and to her surprise, it had knives on it, and even a few swords. Acele wasn't sure why the heck there were swords and knives on a wall, but she was glad either way. Now she had a way to defend herself should anything crazy happen. She walked around the bed and took a view at the desk. It seemed like a simple desk with some draws, 3 on both sides and one large on in the top center. She opened it up to see what was inside and saw a few papers, writing utensils, and to her surprised, even the knife that she carried around all the time. Okay, no clue how you got here, but it works for me She though, grabbing it and tying it to her shorts. After finishing with her inspection of the room, she noticed there were a few voices coming from outside the door. She wondered if any roommates were here. Considering there were plenty of them, obviously she would have to share this place with other people. Opening up her room door, she walked to the larger room and saw a boy and girl looking around. The guy was talking to the girl, but the girl just seemed to be rummaging around and looking at everything. She didn't seem to understand what most of this stuff was, just like Acele, but at least Acele wasn't as curious as this girl; it kind of made her look a little strange. First impressions were always a good thing though, and Acele didn't want to make herself seem like a bad guy. "Ahem," She cleared her throat and tried to get the two's attentions, "Am I to assume you guys are my roommates? I just got here a minute ago myself and was looking around. Oh, and before you call the room at the end of the hallway, I already call dibs. Now, give me a minute to come up with a joke here, because I'm fresh outta them, and need a good way to keep myself from seeming too strange." Acele pondered her thoughts, paying absolutely no mind to the two before her. She might have forgotten that she was trying to make herself look nice, but she can't help but make a joke when she talks, and now that she can't think of one, her brain was turning its gears, forcing a joke to be made. "I got it! Make sure you guys keep your hands in your pockets, or else I might end up stealing your stuff." She made a wide grin and waited for the two to introduce themselves. View attachment 43254 Xane noticed a figure come out from the back of the room and he recognized it as that Harley guy who was with the girl a few minutes ago. He certainly wasn't expecting to be rooming with them, but since he couldn't really do anything about it, he would have to find some way to deal with it. As Harley tried to guess his name, Xane sighed a little. Was his name really that hard to remember? Oh well, it's not like he cared either way. He wasn't able to be near people that much anyway, so it didn't really matter. "It's Xane. Sorry for intruding." He watched Harley's eyes dart around and wondered what he was looking at. Xane figured that it was probably best if he just went to whatever room wasn't occupied and keep away from this guy. He seemed like he wanted to be alone, or at least away from other people, and Xane kind of felt the same way. "So, is there a room I can use in here?" @Saxima @Hyuge ✧
