Wow, MatPat. Wow.
But I still do derive some enjoyment from (most of) Game Theory's videos.
Culture Shock is so much better than Game Theory.
When it comes to movies and books, I'm more of a collector. Buying single issues for multiple parts of a series will almost always cost more than just buying the collection version. Basically I go with the frugal route most of the time.
Physical copies for console games, sure. It's easy to lend my copy to a friend that way, since Sony became fucksboys and limited the sharing of an account's downloads to two systems from five. Physical copies for PC games, doesn't matter that much to me, especially since it seems to be a lot tougher to get physical copies nowadays. I share my Steam library with people all the time. It's especially easier to go digital with how much cheaper it is. This is the main reason why I barely own any Wii U or 3DS or PS4 games. Basically, if I'm paying full price for a game, I'll generally get a physical copy. But with how pricy games are, I don't often get them full price. Last time I did was Bloodborne, and that came out in March. Unless I'm collecting a series, I don't generally care for buying movies anyway. If I do buy them, it's physical. Music, I always buy CD's, since that way I can rip them in the highest quality (for a CD, of course.) Now for books (this includes graphic novels and comics,) I'll only care about getting a physical copy if it's a collection. Like my copy of Watchmen. But if it's a one-off, digital.
Joker: the "grill" has been explained as being replacements for the teeth he's lost fighting Batman. I like that explanation. Too lazy to get a source right now. The tattoos suck though. Harley: I don't get any of this stripper stuff because this is less than five minutes of seeing the character actually talk. I also loathe her design in Arkham Asylum. Arkham City/Knight looked decent, and this one honestly doesn't look that different. Deadshot: I'm less a Will Smith fan now and more an "assassin wearing a cool mask" fan, and from what people who've read the Suicide Squad comics have told me, Deadshot is actually the closest to a moral person in the group, so blame the trailer editor and the casting director for this one so far.
Well...this is awkward...I feel nothing toward having a physical copy of a book, other than "I hope I never get any water on it."
What's wrong with reading a digital version of the same exact work?
Dunno if I should make a new thread or what, but...hey it's happening.
I have a series?
I am prepared to giddily shout when a trailer arrives.
Well...ok...won't touch that subject. Give Start Something a listen. I have a feeling you'd like it, at least a little.
Well, that person isn't the only person on the show, right? Way I see it, that's a good way to have a fresh perspective. I don't want to talk "qualified" since the person is obviously doing enough to get on the show, so...yeah. My two cents on that. I usually can avoid the personal stuff of musicians, but the singer of Lostprophets was the straw that broke the camel's back, which just really sucks. I absolutely loved everything pre-Liberation Transmission (and still enjoyed some of the newer stuff) but Start Something is one of my favorite albums ever. Way I see it, I'm enjoying the music for the work put in by every other member of the band but Ian. They're the ones who disbanded after the news came out, and I'm gonna give their new band (with a different singer) a try.
I got over it since Rise Against supports PETA. Nothing gonna stop me from enjoying "Like the Angel" live. Now Lostprophets...that one's the very difficult one for me...
She's a cool cat I used to talk with before she was part of staff. I remember vividly for some reason when she sang a cover of "Second Star to the Right" from "Peter Pan."
