Hey there all you Kingdom Hearts kids! Do you enjoy video game streams? Do you enjoy new site features? And, most importantly, do you enjoy watching the staff make fun of each other and Misty in particular? If you answered yes to all of these questions, you’re in the right place! Fundraising Night, an idea conceived and brought forth by the ever lovely @Stardust, will be a streaming event hosted by the staff in an effort to raise donations for the site. It is no secret that typically, when it comes to add-ons that cost money, the staff usually foots the bill to bring it site-side. As a result of this, it can be difficult to obtain add-ons as soon as we’d like due to being pressed for money in other areas of life. To counteract this, we would like to raise donations for these add-ons, as well as prizes for future events. As seen with the Trivia Tournament and the 10th Anniversary Event, we do like to hand out physical gifts for site competitions, and would be more than willing to do so again in the future! And, what better way to raise donations than through something entertaining for the whole site to join in on? As this first few streams will be largely trial and error, here’s a few basic things to keep in mind: Please behave appropriately in the chat. As this is an official KHV sponsored event, KHV’s rules do apply here. You are not required to donate. As we are all mostly high school/university aged, it is definitely understandable if money is tight for you. Equally as important, just because you do donate does not mean you receive a boon of special bonuses and/or treatment. While it is hoped that we do receive some form of donations, we do want you all to be able to enjoy the stream more than anything. Streaming For the most part, we will be utilizing the KHVidsNet Twitch channel to do our streaming. At the moment, we don’t have an exact time frame for how long the stream will be going, but it will certainly not be an all day affair. For streams in which a Visual Novel and other similar genres will be played, we will be utilizing our Ustream account. Streams that will be on Twitch will be indicated by this bold red, while streams utilizing Ustream will be indicated by this bold blue. The first couple of streams we have lined up will be 1-2 player games, although we will usually try to have additional staff in the chat to talk (and taunt) the player. We do have some multiplayer games in discussion though, so you can definitely expect to see them soon.

Started listening now, I don't really know anything about comics so do not expect the length of that Avatar post for this one y'all. re:Homestuck: FUNNILY ENOUGH it's probably at its most accessible atm since it's on indefinite hiatus until the final update (that will end the comic) drops, and all the hype from the more obnoxious fans is dead. Granted it's still long as hell and pretty slow in Act I, so I can sympathize with not jumping in, lol. edit: Homestuck is overall a webcomic, though it plays with the medium a lot through including a few animated videos made in Flash, and even has little minigames interspersed in some of the later parts of the story. Probably the most expansive ones were the End of Act V flash and the "Openbound" walkaround games where you play as one character and guide her through some places.

I really hope the theme isn't split between the boxart and that pattern like that, that just looks tacky. The 1.5 theme was pretty eh to me (still haven't really used it), but this one is just plain disappointing. I don't expect Sqaure to go all out with the themes, but I would like at least something a bit more original? Like, maybe rotating colored sketches of TVA training, Roxas & Hayner/Pence/Olette getting ice cream, and Data Sora exploring the Datascape. As nice as those pre rendered slides in the 1.5 theme look, they appear to be really copy-pasted and I'd like to have something that comes off as more thoughtful than that.
oooof, that's pretty rough. How long is the class? The 50 mins ones are pretty nice since it's not overly long & you can squeeze out juuuuust enough attention to make it through till the end without wanting to jump out a window. Before my school switched to semesters last year, we were on quarters (which is soooo much better as a system imo). though most of the classes were all 2 hours long. which was actually Hell. unfortunately I have 8 AMs every single day this semester, so I know far too well how you're feeling ;~;
On the magical girl animoos, I've really only watched scattered bits of Sailor Moon when I was younger, Tokyo Mew Mew, Doremi, CARDCAPTORS, and ofc Madoka (which may be overrated but overrated =/= bad, lol). I've been thinking about watching the Sailor Moon reboot, but I am pretty turned off by the animation style :/ Can confirm, I am currently preparing my annual report to give for the grand summit of all things card games. And this! You can post in the OOC Lounge of the RP section to get a more representative interest check amongst regular RPers and continue to build your RP from there. :]
On top of this advice, I'd also suggest investing in giving your Pokemon a more diverse moveset. So many of them have 3+ moves of their same type, and while having a couple Same Type Attack Bonus (STAB) moves usually recommended, having 3+ water moves on Blastoise or 3+ Fire moves on a Charizard can hinder you more than help. Think of it this way; say you're fighting Lance, and you only have your Articuno, Moltres, and Venusaur left (don't want to use revives just yet since he only has his Dragonite left). Your Articuno has a bit of health but you're like "NAH SON I GOT THIS 1 ICE BEAM 1HKO," and you do it...but Dragonite is still standing and knocks your Articuno out. You are kind of boned because Moltres and Venusaur will not be hitting that Dragonite for much at all, because 6/8 moves are not very effective against Dragonite, and it will likely destroy them if not taken out. This is why you try to want to have diverse movesets for your Pokemon; if you're prime Pokemon for that part of the fight faints, you don't have to worry nearly as much because you'll be able to have a backup to fall on (even if it's not as good, it'll be better than have 4x of the same move). Your Zapdos and Articuno are good examples of diverse movesets (2 STAB moves that utilize their dual typing, plus some other moves for coverage). Your Blastoise in LeafGreen and Dewgong don't have good coverage; Blastoise only has Water type moves to rely on, and Dewgong doesn't have any water type moves to utilize its secondary Water typing (which would give another STAB move & coverage against Fire types).
KH3D implied that the real 100% legit Kingdom Hearts (the place) is something different from what we've seen thus far. The heart shaped moon & the Kingdom Hearts at the end of KH1 were stated in game to be artificial constructs made from the hearts of people & the worlds consumed by darkness, respectively. I wouldn't be surprised at all if we do end up going to the true Kingdom Hearts in the endgame; it'd be pretty interesting and a hell of a way to wrap up the Xehanort saga, imo.
Tbf Book 4 is pretty far along in production (I think they just have animation left?) and Nick already paid for it, but yeah, very much agreed. I'm still mad at Nick for the promotion and scheduling, but not giving the show hits or generating ad revenue is only going to hurt the chances of anything else Avatar related happening after Korra's run is done (and I want a Book 2-4 CD dammit >:C)
