I must ask about the name of the article. Why is it called "Cypress Springs High School student challenges Pledge of Allegiance" when the article goes on to say "The mother and son said they don’t take issue with the school’s policy, or with the Pledge, but with how the teachers handled it."? It just seems very misleading since the Pledge of Allegiance isn't being challenged at all but instead the teachers. The teachers are clearly in the wrong. It was already decided almost 70 years ago that students can't be forced to recite the Pledge of Allegiance or even stand if they don't want to since it'd be a violation of their rights.

Maybe I'm just too tired but I'm a little confused as to what you're asking. I personally don't see how patriotism and the search for liberty are related.

I don't support such a policy. Although I will add that this school's policy only expects students to stand during the Pledge of Allegiance and it doesn't require them to. Like I said earlier, the teachers are the ones to blame since this sort of problem should have never happened in the first place.

I see patriotism as showing pride and love for one's country. I don't define "one's country" as "one's government" since one's government in only one facet of one's country which encompasses various things such as its people, culture, and history among other things.

I'll point towards West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette again. The state can't force you to say a pledge in favor of it if you don't want to. I'm surprised that you don't know these things about your own country, Mak.

I must ask though. Why exactly did you sit down? I know it's within your rights to not stand but from what you have said, you weren't asked to pledge allegiance or even salute but to just face the flag which I don't see as too demanding. From what I can gather, people just thought you were being rude for breaching basic etiquette. Sitting down, when you're clearly capable of standing up, during the national anthem in almost any country is like talking during a moment of silence or wearing white to a funeral. You can do it but you're going to get a lot of looks if you do which happens with any faux pas committed.

I suggest buying Sony Vegas 9 Pro or even an older version just as long as it's Pro and not Sony Vegas Movie Studio. While it's more expensive than Sony Vegas Movie Studio, which is basically the water-downed and cheaper version for consumers, it has more features like allowing you to have unlimited video and audio tracks, project nesting and masking among other things. It's also cheaper than the most current version, 11. There aren't many changes between versions that actually make a difference for AMV editors so buying an older version should save you money and you'll practically get the same thing. I think Stardust uses Sony Vegas 7 to this day and it hasn't caused any trouble with her. So if you have the money, I suggest buying Sony Vegas Pro but if you don't, Sony Vegas Movie Studio isn't that bad and is a decent editor by itself. The only bad thing in my opinion is that it limits you to 4 video tracks and 4 audio tracks and there's no masking. ; ~ ;

Other: His weapon of choice is magical chain given to him by his father called the Celestial Chain. In its normal form, it is just a short chain with a small blade attached to one end that he keeps wrapped around his wrist but when used as a weapon, it can elongate and contract without limit thus allowing it to be able to wrap around people from a distance and if thrown at a high enough speed, the blade on the end of chain can be used as a striking weapon.

Why don't you try sleeping earlier the day before your flight? And when you're at the airport, don't be afraid to ask for help. It's a little scary to ask somebody you don't know for help but trust me, a majority of the people there aren't going to screw you over. Especially the employees who should be able to guide you to where you need to go.

And if you want to stay awake during the day, strong black coffee is your best friend.

Not sure how any of us can get Party Rock Anthem to work with Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy or Disney. Which is why I said that one should suggest songs that fit with any of the series thematically; songs that you think would fit with certain characters or with the series as a whole. So if a song goes "blah blah blah hearts" or "blah blah blah darkness blah blah blah light" then you're probably in the right territory. xD

I think I'll leave it up to a vote in the end. I won't force you guys to do something you don't want to if the majority aren't for it. By the way, what do you guys actually think of the idea? Good? Bad? Meh? I need as much input as possible.
