As an updated bit of info that I just discovered; Ninfia is the lightest Eeveelution so far. Quite a useful trait for something of the Flying type. The only thing that throws me off is that in one of the pictures released of Ninfia, it sparkles. Now, it could just be to highlight the fact that it's a new one and that we should be focusing on the fact that it'll be starring in the special, but something tells me there's something very special about Ninfia that we haven't heard about yet. In a more general post about X and Y, I'm wondering if we'll see any other new branching evolutionary paths. I get the feeling that Male and Female divergence might be more prominent this gen, in-keeping with the theme, but whether that will mean more gender differences or entirely different lines, I'm not sure. Hoping for the latter to keep things interesting.

Mobius is actually nothing more than a mistranslation present only in the American versions of Sonic's manuals. The original refers only to a Mobius Ring, which is the shape of Green Hill Zone apparently. Therefore Rosy the Rascal does not exist.
Rosy the Rascal was nothing more than the prototype name for Amy Rose. You have both Amy Rose and Classic Amy Rose, therefore you already have Rosy the Rascal in play, as Classic Amy is her. Your move.

Well I'm sure the same was said when they introduced the Steel and Dark types, but you're right in that we've gone 650 'mons without whatever any new type could be, and they would either have to retcon a huge number of the old mons to be that type, or they'd have to make almost the entire generation be that type, for it to be a viable choice. The only bad thing about the current matchups is that Poison is very much an outclassed type, being super effective to only one type that both Fire and Flying are super effective against already, and having a weakness to two popular types. If they ever did change it up, I'd want them to at least give Poison type something that the other types don't as an edge. For Eeveelution types, I honestly think that Fighting or Rock make most sense. Whenever we've been given a pair of Eeveelutions, one has always been super-effective against the other. Dark vs Psychic, Ice vs Grass, even the originals had Electric vs Water vs Fire. Also here's hoping they add some extra Physical fire-type moves that make Flareon actually useful this time.
