I like the song. But as I said earlier, I shouldn't be the one telling you whether or not the idea is good. That's up to you. Plus I don't even know what how it's going to look until you've edited it and shown it to me. If you want to do it, do it! If you want some critique afterwards to help improve your part then I'd be happy to give you some and I'm sure others would as well. What editing software are you using? If you're using any of the more advanced programs like Sony Vegas or Adobe Premiere than you should be able to cut down the song in there. I'm unsure of how it's done in Windows Live Movie Maker but if you can't cut the song in there then you could always download Audacity and use it to edit your audio.

I have to agree with Hayabusa about Crawling. The song has just been used sooooo many times that it's lost any sort of novelty and feels so generic when it's listened to alongside an AMV nowadays. But in the end, the decision of what song you're going to use is up to you. As for "Better Than Me", if you can make it work with the footage you've got then I don't see a problem with using it. I wonder how you'll make a song about a break-up work with KH, FF or Disney though. Good luck. Sure. Will the video without the blank seconds still be 45 seconds with the voiceover? If it goes over the limit, I don't really mind. 3 and a half seconds isn't really much.

In addition to the length of your video. So, for example, if your part was 40 seconds, you'd add 2 seconds of blank space in the beginning and end to make a 44 second video. If your part was 45 seconds, then with the blank spaces, you'd have 49. And yeah, as soon as you pick your song, you can start. Just make sure to post what song you're using here. EDIT: Also if you guys need a few extra seconds to make your cut of the song work well then I won't be against giving a little leeway just as long as it isn't too long.
