Looks like I'm in the the middle of the healthy range now. I was almost underweight sometime ago. My doc was all like "Gain some weight, boy! B|"

Funny how your thought process throughout the whole thing and your reaction to her saying yes are basically the same things I would've done. xD

Actually now that I look back on it, it feels like an exaggeration on my part. I actually liked the way you went through some scenes quickly to sum things up and in the end you did well. I especially liked the Day 6 part. The only scenes that I felt were random were the Agrabah one and the Pirates one. Just a little nitpicking on my part to be honest and if you don't want to change them then I won't really mind.

By the way, are you using Sony Vegas now?

Ahhhhh. D: I guess it's understandable. Like I said, it's just a suggestion. If you don't want to or can't do it then I won't force you to. Are you done editing? Or would you like to still use your time to touch things up and stuff?

Is there no way to make the video end more smoothly? The song and the video just cuts off at the end and it's jarring. Maybe a simple fade out for the audio?

I like how you used the voiceover in the beginning and your scene selection is good. I suggest that you try synching some transitions to the beats and/or rhythm of the song. For example, the part with Riku, instead of having the scenes layered over each other, you could transition from each one of those scenes to other on every fourth piano chord to go along with the rhythm of the song. If you want an actual example, I suggest checking out the video that Wingly just uploaded. While your song is much slower and gentler than his, you should get the general idea of beat sync from that video. Another thing that I think you could do is to try to make your scenes flow more smoothly. What I mean by that is that instead of just cutting from scene to scene, you could use a fade or a flash on a prominent note to move between them so it doesn't feel jarring when you go from one scene to another. I hope this helps.

In the end, it is a popularity contest so the more you get your name out there, the more likely you'll get votes.

Nice. Maybe you could try toning some of the effects down? It's kind of hard to tell what's happening in some of the scenes when the effects are distorting them. Besides that I think you could smooth out some transitions between scenes.

I guess you can upload it for us to see.

First things first, I would suggest using clips of the same quality and resolution. At first the quality of the cutscenes is high and then it drops to a lower quality only to go back to a higher quality clips and then back to a lower quality. It's not really necessary but it's jarring in my opinion. You only used KH2 clips and Mixt has already uploaded his high quality recordings of that game so I suggest using them. Plus they don't have subtitles so that's a plus in my opinion. As for the editing, I'm impressed. It's been a while since I last saw a video of yours but compared to what I saw then and what you have now, there was definitely an improvement. Thumbs up. One thing that I noticed is that there are some scenes edited in here that just feel like they're there to fill in some space. Besides that and maybe this is just me because I don't have any headphones on me but the sound quality sounds a little low in my opinion. Could somebody confirm this?

I'll send you a link over MSN.

Remember that the final date hasn't been announced yet so you could have enough time to finish your part without feeling rushed.

What program are you using for your editing? And what format are you exporting in?

Would you like some criticism? There's still a lot of time before August, when the due date will most likely be, so you could revise what you already have with all that time.

We still haven't decided on a final date yet but don't expect it to be until August.

    11 seconds over 1 minute? lolno B| 11 seconds over 45 seconds? That's okay.

Is there no way to set things up manually? Out of the ones you've listed, I believe NTSC would be the correct one but I'm unsure. The difference between all of these options is that while they all have the same framerate, they all have different resolutions.

At the moment, the video feels pretty monotonous. What I mean by this is that not enough is going on. More scenes could be used to give it variety. This feels like a SoraXKairi sort of video but some of the scenes used don't focus on either like the part with Leon and Aerith. God knows that there's a lot of SoKai material in the Kingdom Hearts games. Don't be afraid to use them. You should try to doing some beat sync. At the moment, the scenes just move between each other randomly when you could easily transition with a flash on a beat. There are other ways to transition between scenes though and you should experiment to find what works the best.

Go to File > Properties and there you'll find a dropdown menu for the framerate. Select 29.970 (NTSC) and there you go.

@TitanTX: I'll get back to you later with some critique.

I personally prefer .avi compressed with a lossless codec so the converted video will look the same as the original. I even made a guide on how to convert files such as .mp4 and .mkv right here. The only downside is that the converted video will take up a lot of space. If you have a lot of HD space then it shouldn't be a problem but if you do, I provided an alternate method to lossless in the guide as well. It'll still be in the GBs range but much less than lossless.

XviD and H.264 are preferred although honestly any codec can be used for your compression as long as the resulting file is below 100 MBs and the quality is good. What defines good quality? Lack of blockiness and no interlacing for example. And yes, you can start as soon as you have your song chosen. Just tell us what you'll be using and we'll add it to the list.

No, it's standard definition widescreen. Most, if not all, of the footage that we are using is widescreen. This also includes HD footage so it makes it easier for people to just scale it down to a resolution that's already the same aspect ratio. Kingdom Hearts is also widescreen. At least the highest quality footage that we have up for download on KHV is.
