It's peobably so popular since a lot of people like the idea, but don't bother to take the time to reaearch the facts. But this is tumblr, so it's kinda par for the course...
That one actually slipped my mind, but that was also good. Captured atmosphere and I'm actually glad it's not jump scare central. I don't know why I didn't mention it.
While I sort of agree with being tired of gore passed off as horror (although I thoroughly enjoy the Saw Movies), those seem to be dying out for found footage films. And there have been some good modern horror films like The Conjuring and The Last Exorcism. Even 13 Sins had a lot of good moments. And stay away from Annabelle. All the things that made The Conjuring great are no where to be seen in Annabelle. Too funny to be seem as scary.
Fun episode (although, I honestly didn't understand most of the technical bits). The only thing I can add to the conversation is that the GBA relase of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories was the first GBA game to have fully rendered cutscenes...which is cool. And good additions to my playlist. I definitely want to hear more from the band that you discussed. And have you heard the full version of Guren No Yumiya? It's crazy scary/crazy the first time you hear it...
Okay, so I’ve been trying to catch up and just got finished with episode 13. I’ve been on the fence about just quitting the show, but this episode showed me that it was a good idea to keep going. Spoiler This was probably the hardest I’ve laughed at anything SAO related, it’s done some pretty dumb stuff. All the parts that were supposed to be dramatic were unintentionally hilarious. Granted, I haven’t bought into the drama of the show for a while now. And the Yui thing? Man...that just rubs me the wrong way. It is just absolutely awkward, and it’s hard to buy that it’s being treated so seriously. And the ending. How far did they dig for an ass-pull that the best friend is a psycho and that his brother is Death Gun. I love how they give a little flashback to try and say “no, guys, seriously! We didn’t come up with this on the spot”. I couldn’t hold in laughter at the whole brother reveal. Honestly, I thought episode 24 of the first season couldn’t be beat for its absurdity, but we have a winner.
Dress up as Dee Sneider from the Twisted Sister days, bring a stereo, go to class, look your teacher right in the eye and blast "We're Not Gonna Take It".
This is actually an interesting scenario. When it comes to a question like this, I think of the Left Behind novels (yes, the ones that the new Nick Cage film is based on) and how they handled this. The characters, both good and bad, were human. It's obvious that they know they're in the Christian version of the End of Days (the novels being a hypothetical scenario of the Book of Revelations). They face this question of they realize that God is real, but are angry. And it's hard here. I want to say that I'm the kind of person who would immediately accept what has happened and repented my ways. However, that's an idealistic answer in my point of view. My first reaction would probably be of the latter option because I would feel betrayed. I would still fight whatever tyranny that there is on Earth (if we're assuming Revelations, that would be the Antichrist, False Prophet, etc.), and that would probably help me in finding some kind of acceptance and repentance. (And this is coming who identifies as Christian)
Yeah; that's something that really gets to me about COM. Floor 13 is not a place you want to be to grind for a blue card, and odds are you might not even get the number you want. Even if you're in the room where you can select the card you win, it's very rare to see a blue card on that floor. Whenever I'm stuck there, I just go to one of the lower floors (1-5) where the heartless are weaker, and you have a better chance at getting a blue card.
Happy birthday
Well, it's kinda expected. TASM2 got mixed reviews (personally one of my favorite films of the summer), it was performed poorly in the (domestic) box office, and what they were originally planning to do was too much of an investment and would not draw the audience they want. And a lot of the blame comes from the studio. They make decisions in the script not for story, but for what they think can bring in a bigger audience, and listen to focus groups that don't understand storytelling. I just hope that they give us one more film with Garfield. When he's Spider-Man, he really showed what it meant to be a hero of the people.
I think for me, the companion I would want is Tinkerbell. I mean, she gives you the ability to fly and she can heal you. I think that in the real world, it would "cure" you from any illness, so that would be super for me.
Not even a little.
So, I went to an early screening of Annabelle last night. When I walked into the theater, it was a theater filled with children and their parents. This is a rated-R horror movie. And when I say children, I mean, at most, 10 years old. Now, I watched horror movies when I was young, but my parents never took me to the theater to see any horror. Jackass: The Movie, yes, but not a horror movie. And I honestly could care less about how impressionable these kids are; I just don't want to hear screaming kids for 90 minutes. Luckily, I was able to sit in a row by myself, and there was a good buffer between me and the crowd. It took a while to get the trailers started, so I was a little bit irritated. It wasn't something I could control, but usually when the movie runs late, they skip the trailers completely. I'm glad that they didn't skip the trailers though. In a theater full of little kids, they played the 50 Shades of Gray trailer. I couldn't hold in my laughter. Those kids saw some soft core erotica, and those parents know that they couldn't stop it. Everyone was silent after the trailer (besides my muffled laughter). I wanted to stand up and point at everyone and just yell "You deserve this!"
I liked it...
Super Mario Bros. and Edge
No, not SPACESHIP. That man is dead. It's Tummer now. Sweeney Tummer. And he shall have his revenge.
Well, happy birthday to you! And welcome back!
