Isn't making decisions for a girl you are going out with a powerplay? So my advice is similar to Magick's. You know her, surely there is a place which she loves to go for special occasions. If you ask where she would like to go and make a reservation she's not going to pick a special place - just a place she feels like eating at if you want to propose at a resturant. If you are going to do a meal and propose which is supposed to be a classic move then pick a place you guys have gone to celebrate a promotion, new job or anniversary. Alternatively you can pick a location that is special to the both of you that isn't a place to have dinner and arrange for something amazing to happen. This can take weeks or months to perfect but is great for making the moment special. Don't rush into it by reading on a forum that you should reserve a place and then propose there - do something that is really special to the both of you. Regardless of where you chose to have it you absolutely have to make it perfect and personal to the both of you. Like Magick said, if you don't know what to do and you are going to take a stranger's advice about how to approach a lifelong commitment then you aren't ready yet. When it comes to a propasal you should not have to ask anyone, because you should know the most about her than anybody else does. Only someone who knows absolutely everything about their girlfriend/boyfriend is ready to marry in my opinion. So if you would like to marry but you don't think you know everything about her then there is no rush. In time you will know her like the back of your hand, and at that point you will be able to safely propose to her. But then again I'm just a stranger on the internet, aren't I? It's up to you.
I suggest getting a second opinion about these dreams. If sleep depreviation has occurred because of the dreams and your current psychiatrist won't help because he just repeats the fact that dreams have no meaning then get a second opinion to see if there is something that can be done about it. imo, if you put the nightmare off by putting yourself in a state where you don't dream then wouldn't the nigtmare just be delayed? If you've been having this nightmare for the last 16 years then this shows that it is difficult to outgrow. But then again I'm not a psychiatrist, so if the psychiatrist says something that contradicts this then he knows better about this topic XD

My overall impression of her from CoM and ReCoM was that she was used like a tool. Not much personality came through because the Organization were using her. However when she appeared in KH2 there was more personality with her character. However she still came across as a prisoner. In both games she seemed as though she had suffered because of her ability to manipulate memories. I think that this is what made her so withdrawn and shy. Because of this she is a very reserved character and so I couldn't get a proper reading on her character. It's quite good because it gave a contrast to the other characters. Sora is brave, Donald has temper issues, Goofy is goofy, Riku is adventurous and Kairi is friendly. So compared to the other main characters she is different XD

I may have typed this in the past, however you are reading it in the present. Because you are currently experiencing things in the present. Another point I think should be reinforced is Cat<3 Sora's. You should always be careful with vanilla... I had a teaspoon of raw vanilla - I did not expect that it would taste so... foul.
