Lol mind you, not ALL of them go about wailing interpretations proofless nor are they always "completely" skewed. As far as interpretatains go, I'll let you have a look at some of the more plausible ones which were more metaphorical, "looked inbetween the lines" and genuinely well thought-out. Without singling out Sora/Kairi. He never confirmed whether Sora/Kairi was likely to happen or state per se if the pairing Riku/Sora was completely out of the picture either. Whatever you see and answer for yourself is "one way for it". All I am saying is that interpretation is left to the spectator, and your opinion on the matter doesn't really make it any much more "real" than anyone else's. *I'm simply going to overlook your "Sorikai Troof" argument since this wasn't the point of my comment, and to be honest, I personally don't have anything to add seeing as how I view Riku/Sora as platonic in-game. Saying that it's a "bend of the reality" is a bit of an erroneous statement, for it really depends on the person and how they see it - and I have read some fairly plausible/interesting opinions from others. And again, Nomura keeps saying these sort of subjects are left open for our own interpretation. There really isn't one RIGHT way for it. *Maybe you skipped past my first post, but as for me I don't take Riku/Sora seriously from the game; like I said I only view it as platonic. The whole point of this comment was to point out the whole interpretation thing, and how everyone is entitled to their thoughts on the subject.

In defense for those who DO support the pairing in a canonly manner, I will reiterate: Nomura said no pairings in KH are canon, so I am all the more influenced by the fact that it was all done on purpose for the idea of speculation. So in reality, Sora/Kairi isn't anymore canon than Sora/Riku. It's really up to how the spectator prefers to interpret it.

Like the others said, a subforum specific for KH III fanfics is a little silly. However after much thought and after having looked at the CC section, and doing some comparing with the way other forums present this section, I *really* say it needs some ordering - everything is mingled within. KH/Fanfics should go in one - Original should go in on - and Poems should go in one.

I know, but I was putting aside the side missions and assuming we're only completing KH for the sake of the story. I suppose it's just easier to smash X repeatedly than have to fiddle with shortcuts, that what you're getting at? I haven't played FFXII to really know the dependency on magic. But thinking back on the past ones I've played, it's kinda hard to compare it to KH since they use that ATB system, where you choose one move after a course of time. In KH, you're free to what you want at any time without limitations (BLARGH OKAY WELL THERE'S THAT SHYTY MP PROB'. ):<)
Yeah, I was really quirking a brow at when I read Repliku and coco compare the utility of magic in KHII to this thread. By gods I'm quite useless without magic in KH to be honest - besides the obviously much needed curaga, it saves a lot of time hack and slashing enemies by one or little bunches, considering how Thundaga kills off many foes on field in one or two blows. The right comparison would've "as useless as Summons in KHII." Those however I never touched, both in KH1 and 2. I rolled quite perfectly well without them, and presume anyone could as well. (...so I used Tinkerbell every once and then in 1 D: Go away. )
I personally like Riku/Sora just for the yaoi, I honestly never really gave a toss about the hints. I see it more as platonic if we're talking canon for reasons which we will see later on, but I can very well understand and imagine how one would overlook sexuality and instead, pair up any two people for the mounts of devotion they express towards another. If either Riku or Sora were a girl, I'm sure we'd be hearing waves of cries that something romantic is lingering the air from all sides and this wouldn't be such a hateful controversy. So, I say the relationship between Sora and Riku is mostly platonic because I felt that it was really Riku who had the "questionable character"; Sora on the other hand, does seem to care very much for Riku, but Kairi seems to be the one he's most interested in. An interesting fact that I felt the need to point out is how Sora/Kairi is merely implemented every once and then while the relationship beetween Riku and Sora is actually carefully constructed and developped. It's so much more rich in elements and content than Sora and Kairi, which is merely just a first-stage skeleton. All-in-all, it IS very probable.
