Almost as if by design, Vance's dramatic posing was interrupted as a large gout of water blew over his head and over the deck entirely. Luckily it hadn't hit anyone directly, but people were already soaked by large droplets of water. His eyes opened wide in surprise as two large whales surfaced from the sea. Their mouths were full of sharp teeth and they looked poised to eat them all.
"Oh bugger." Vance stated, falling backwards on to his arse. He grunted in pain and surprise before getting up. "Ladies, Gentlemen, THERE ARE TWO WHALES COMING TO EAT US!"





Caliborn nodded as Vance informed them of the whale. Looking around, there were in fact two whales and they were angry. Angrier than usual. Most of the time they kept to the local sharks and other marine life and the occasional drowning person out at sea after going overboard but this... This was unprecedented. In any case, he'd deal with it.
"I'll deal with one of them! The rest of you, handle the other!" Caliborn leapt off the boat and shifted into Mist Body. He flew around, above the waters and launched blasts of magic at the first whale. He knew that the others could handle the other one. He had faith in them.

Scarlett seemed to take the idea that they had gone out on a mission without an S-Class quite personally. She was... Eager. To say the least, but perhaps a little entitled. She didn't realise that he didn't know anything about this either and largely suspected that they weren't on a licensed guild job. Edric was still at the Guild, as was GexIn, Mikasa and Dale. They would have led a mission if they were going out on a guild job, that was for sure. So... Something wasn't right here. And still, who was that man they were with?
"That only applies if you're going on a licensed guild job. I actually have no idea what they're doing. Whatever it is, it wasn't on our notice board. GexIn, Mikasa, Edric and Trevor are there, keeping an eye on Dale and Boreal. Two of the S-Classes could quite easily leave and accompany them." Caliborn replied. "And don't give me that look Scarlett. You're directing irritation at the wrong person. Perhaps you should ask that man over there that our Guild Mates are with? I'm sure he'll explain exactly why our wizards are out here, after all, he's with them." Caliborn pointed at Zephyros. He shrugged,
"Or you could ask one of your fellow wizards. Vance is over there, Thea is over there, Conrad is around and a couple of others. They're there to ask. Find out yourself." He pointed out each of the people in turn and allowed Scarlett to make her own decision about what to do about it.

Vance stood at the helm of the ship, staring into the sea beyond. His coat flapped gently behind him in the sea breeze as he watched the waters. It was rare that he travelled on a ship, and he planned to enjoy the novelty. That said, he wasn't fond of the constant rocking motion. He was not however, going to allow himself to be seasick. That would be very, very ungentlemanly. It was a finely crafted veneer and he didn't want to let it slip. He put his hands on the railing of the ship and continued to stare dramatically at the sea.



Caliborn decided that it was time to find out what the other group was doing exactly. There wasn't an S-Class around, so what were they doing out of the Guild? He approached the group that Conrad had joined to find out.
"What are the rest of you doing?" Caliborn asked. "I'm taking my group to Sian, but I'm not entirely sure what you're doing here. And without an S-Class no less."



So, that was Erigor's appearance. She was a little worried about fighting him now in truth. A man didn't become known as Reaper, or Death Bringer for no reason. He was a cold hearted killer, that was for sure. They'd have to stop him. No matter how powerful he was, he had to be brought down, or else everyone was in great danger. The Lullaby would allow him to be able to kill with ease. There'd be nothing they could do. It looked like Cassandra was done talking, given that she had leaned back and closed her eyes. Alessia took that as a sign to go do something else. She stood up.
"I'm going to look around the train a bit. I'll see you all around." She said, and then walked away. She turned left and started walking down the train, trying not to knock into other passengers walking around or hitting the seated people. It was so cramped in here!



"Suit yourself." Boreal shrugged. Damn, that was such a good idea. He'd have to figure out another way. The patience of this child was... Questionable. He remembered another one, Trevor. The one that was there before Derk. He wondered if he would come back, or indeed if there were others in there. So many people... He couldn't help but wonder how that happened. He'd heard of people with that condition, but certainly never seen them himself. Considering Derk's instability, he wasn't sure if he wanted to meet any others, although perhaps that was just one of them. Maybe the other ones in his head would be... More reasonable.

"Do we have to fight all of the Dark Guild?" Alessia pointed out. "We know about this Erigor guy right? Why don't we just stop him and take this Lullaby thing? The nine of us can't defeat a guild, but we can take on Erigor and take the Lullaby off him can't we?" It was too dangerous to fight an entire guild but maybe fighting just a few of them would be all that was necessary. It would be less risky for them. But the Dark Guild would be out there still. Maybe once they had dealt with it they could gather all of Sapphire Eclipse for an attack against this Dark Guild.
"If we're going to fight the entire Dark Guild then shouldn't we get everyone together? If we stop Erigor, then ask Evanora to lead us in a battle against the Dark Guild then we'll be fine right? We can get all the S-Classes, the Normals and the rest of us new people. That would work, surely?"

"That was the plan. The captain is going to take us wherever we need to. Everyone is just going to have to follow me." Vance replied. She had a good mind to her, off his initial judgement. Off a quick observation, she was quite pretty but clearly not of his status, ruling her out immediately (Not that it mattered, due to factors he was unaware of). It was in her walk. Someone with a background like his would move differently, have a different aura. Her's was more relaxed. With his observations of her done, he quickly moved out to fetch everyone. "Caliborn, bring your people with you! We'll take you where you need to go." With that. he walked back to the ship they had hired and waited for everyone, before walking over to the captain.
"Thank you for taking myself and my retinue. We'll require two drop offs. We have business to attend to in two locations." There wasn't a request. It was a statement, an order. "Everyone aboard!" That was directed to the rest of his Guild Mates.



Caliborn nodded at Vance. He certainly had nerve. Most people spoke a little more respectfully, but he would let it slide.
"Everyone, follow Vance on to the ship. It looks like we have our ride." Caliborn said, leading people on to the ship that Vance had secured.

"Well if they could put a lot of people to sleep with just a spell then they could do a lot with it. Steal, kill people in their sleep. Even if they're not proven to exist, I wouldn't want to put it out of the question. There's a lot of lost magic apparently." Alessia added.

A Mission of Utmost Importance



It was a shame that she didn't know anything else about this Lullaby thing that they heard about. Lullaby... It was something to do with sleep. You sang a lullaby when you wanted someone to go to sleep so... Maybe it was some kind of sleeping spell? Something that could put someone to sleep instantly? It was dangerous in the wrong hands. Good for thieves, or murderers, the sorts of people that Dark Guilds were made up of. When asked for other questions, she thought of something else. There was Erigor, wasn't there? The dark wizard that she mentioned. Maybe that would tell them more. Like, which guild he was from, or even just recognising him if they saw him.
"What about Erigor? What does he look like? And what should we do if we see him?" She asked. The obvious answer was to attack. They'd need to work as a team to do that. Whoever he was, she had no doubts about how powerful he was. After Ezekiel, and Parthenia... They couldn't afford to take any more big risks. Leviathan died, Eric died. No more deaths. Not again.

Journey to Sian



"Hmm, I didn't expect that to work." Caliborn raised an eyebrow as the arrogant young man got a boat. He knew the boy was noble, and he couldn't hear exactly what was said but given the looks on their faces and the way he held himself, it was likely that he dropped the family name and that was that. Hopefully they would think to offer them a place on the ship. He had a feeling that they were going to have a lot of trouble finding another ship. He suspected that some of the people here might be quite surprised to find that there was such great anti-wizard sentiment. It was disturbingly common and incidents like these did nothing to help the situation. "It seems that a name carries you quite far in the world. I've never seen it demonstrated so aptly. Let us hope that they don't decide to throw out the nobility any time soon, otherwise our guild might have yet more issues. And a civil war."

"Well, it'll be interesting to see how everyone handles this one. Mikasa and I didn't have much success, although perhaps that was because it was Mikasa." He smiled to himself lightly. The comment wasn't made to be offensive, just the truth of the matter. Sometimes, that girl needed to learn a bit of respect and manner, it'd get her far in life. It would certainly make it easier for everyone to deal with her. He folded his arms and wondered what the others were doing exactly. He supposed there would be a good reason for it, although he'd make a point of asking someone. Something seemed a little suspicious here, and he couldn't quite place it. There wasn't another S-Class over there, so what were they all doing? And who was that person over there that the others were with...?


The Contest



"You might have brought us on this job, Zephyros but I'll remind you that you are not in charge of me or anybody here. But you are right, we do need a boat." Vance said sharply. With that reminder of his place, Vance walked away from the impertinent Zephyros to go find themselves a boat. The situation was as dire as it appeared. However, he had something most of the other people didn't. Status outside of this Guild. Nobody said no to a Noble for long, and certainly not a Dorian. He walked over to a relatively large ship that could comfortably carry them, completely detaching himself from the Guild for now. They wouldn't have noticed him coming in with them, so it would all check out. He held himself high, as he so often did and arrived at the group of soldiers appearing every inch the noble that he was. He cleared his throat and addressed them.
"Good day to all of you. I wish to speak with the ranking officer here." Vance stated crisply, not requesting but demanding in the way that lords did. When the man did emerge, he continued. "I am Lord Vance Dorian. I seek passage on this ship for myself and my retinue. This ship is sufficient for my needs and I would have passage." He made sure to look at each and every man at least once before returning his gaze to their leader.



A Mission of Utmost Importance.



She listened intently to the information Cassandra was given them. She was more determined to go find these people now. A Dark Guild was bad news, and whoever this Erigor was and whatever he wanted with this Lullaby surely had no good intentions. After the failure at Parthenia, there could be no room a second failure. They had to find out what this Erigor wanted and quickly, so that he couldn't use it to harm anybody. That would be unacceptable. Nobody else could be hurt again. It seemed that Ander was also on this train. Seemed he got on the same one, strange. Life has an odd way.
"I should hope you'd help us. People are in danger." Alessia reminded. Honestly, how could he consider not? In fact, why didn't he sign up for something in the first place? "Anyway, I think once a Guild is declared a Dark Guild they're a public enemy and open to attack. Obviously most don't, it's dangerous. But we can do it. Is that right, Cassandra?"





This ki- Gu- Kid was mad. He clearly had something wrong with him that gave him a poor attention span, not to mention something else that gave him a fondness for cutting up things. Including inanimate objects. Mikasa was going to be so happy when she found her curtains ruined like that. Wait, maybe she wouldn't care. She might also shred the curtains. He probably ought to talk to the guy before he decided that he was some kind of doll rather than a human being. If it came to it, then he had the perfect distraction- The puppy.
"Nice weapon." Boreal noted. It was in fact, a good weapon. "I'd wager that I can probably make an Ice Blade like it."

"Ahm queet alreet thanks fer askin' Mikasa. How aboot ye?" Edric asked, his accent coming through pretty thick. He wasn't used to her being so polite, but he didn't complain. It was nice to hear her being civil. "Can ya get me the usual? You knoo the one I like." He waited for her to pass him along the drink.




"You're enthusiastic to be sure, but not ready yet. There's a lot of danger out there. Part of the reason I'm coming with you is to see how everyone handles themselves in the field. When you're ready we can send you out on your own Scarlett, but for now you'll have to wait." Caliborn answered. "Any questions? I'll be happy to answer anything you have now while we can. If you have anything else you want to ask me, then go right ahead."

Alessia is going put a point into Natsu and a second into Erza defence. Her new AS are: Sliding Dash, Blitz, Barrier Surge, Fire Surge, Stop, and Cure. Spending 700 to purchase Omega Arts.

Vance is going to put his points into Wendy and Erza Magic. Buys a Gaia Bangle for 400.

"Ah, I see. The random hand of fate delivers us to strange places does it not? I am sorry to hear of your family. I have heard them mentioned by my father in the greatest regard." Vance replied. She didn't say how, but I should think that it was something to do with her magic. This Ezekiel person promised a solution, but I wonder... Did he ever manage to help her? Or is she still... Unstable? No matter, I do not think she'll do me harm. She and I cut off the same cloth as it were, some of the few who are here. He couldn't help but notice the way she carried herself held a subtle aura of embarrassment, perhaps a sign she was uncomfortable with or indeed ashamed of her past. It was of no consequence to him. He also couldn't help but notice that people were milling about getting work. It looked like it was that time again. "What happened is in the past, Thea- If I may call you that. Let it lie there now. Now then, it looks as if we are getting work. I must get some myself. It has been nice talking to you, we shall speak again some time. When? Well that is a matter of whether we are on the same job or not." With that, Vance strode over to... Him? What do you want, I wonder. Driven by his curiosity, Vance approached Zephyros. Turns out, it sounded just up his street. A lady to marry, a competition and money. He smiled to himself. You thought you were punishing me father? Actually, it sounds quite the opposite. I can make quite the fortune here. Not to mention achieve something for the family.
"I'm in." Vance stated, putting his hands on the table and looking at Zephyros. "When do we leave?"




Caliborn walked up to Cal and the group surrounding her as she explained the mission to them. As soon as she finished speaking, he spoke himself.
"Yes, and I shall supervise your mission. You're not able to go by yourselves just yet, so I'll be taking you. You're new wizards, you're not quite ready to handle all the dangers of the world by yourselves." For emphasis, he shifted into mist body and back into normal. "And sometimes, there are things that I can do that you can't quite yet."




Alessia heard Cassandra's call to arms and made her way over almost immediately. She needed to do something to help people and she was going to no matter what. And it was important enough to worry an S-Class. That was enough for her to know that she had to get involved here. She'd need to do something to make a difference.
"I'll come Cassandra." She said, putting a hand on her sword.




Boreal fixed the puppy with a wave of his hand and hardened the ice that it was made out of. It was more tiring for him and completely unnoticeable, but Derk wouldn't be able to break it now. He had a feeling he was going to need an awful lot of patience and the puppy had to survive a lot. This was going to be a long, long day.
"There, all fixed." Boreal said. Wait, that is an idea... What if I used the puppy as leverage against Derk? Yes, maybe I could negotiate something, a way out for me perhaps. Free rein at least. I'd be able to get out of this damn tower and explore the guild a little, wouldn't that be good? Of course, that's risking his temper but then again, the other voice Trevor won't let him have one so it's this or nothing. I'll try that soon...

Boreal nodded with the request for a puppy. It was a bit more tiring, but he figured he'd keep the little ice soldiers around just on the off chance that Derk was interested in those anyway. He carefully fashioned an ice puppy, with big adorable eyes and floppy ears and a little tail which it wagged constantly. The puppy was of a playful nature, he decided. That was the beauty of his Dynamic Ice Make, he felt. Everything felt alive, had character. That was the true art. Derk seemed to want to know why he was locked up.
"I tried to kill a demon. The Guild didn't really want me to go near it, so now I'm here. I suppose it's also to do with the fact that we had a fight when they came to stop me. " Boreal answered. He wouldn't make it too complicated. "And Derk, this is a special puppy. All it needs is a little bit of magic to keep going and I'll always be able to fix it if it gets hurt." There was something bizarrely endearing about the man-child playing with an Ice-Make Puppy in his cell. Of course, he couldn't risk escape. This wasn't about escaping. This was about befriending one of his captors (The more dangerous and unstable one who was more likely to hurt him). It was all he had.



Vance was very impressed by the young lady. And she was the daughter of Ian Strive? They were old... Powerful once. He heard something happened to them, perhaps she had something to do with it. Not that he was entirely sure as to the nature of the incident. Perhaps he would learn that in time. He should get to know the heiress to the Strive family's name first, and then perhaps he would ask. He was very curious.
"Ah, the Strives. I remember them. A great family, to be certain. What might your name be young lady?" He asked. "And what brings you to this guild if I may ask?"



Because I'm out of time to write a decent post for Dale, he stopped moping and made himself available so they could start the next wave of missions.

Vance be on board for THAT ONE GENDER FLIPPING BLOKE/BINT's MYSTERY MISSION and Alessia is chilling out with Cassandra and Quinn on 4.

"Very well." Boreal sighed. So, this guy wanted to be entertained huh? Well, let's give him a show. He began to form up little Ice-Made soldiers on the ground and had them run around, hacking each other to pieces and making them rebuild again, and again and again. "If you want, I can make something a little bigger. A bit more entertaining too. What do you say? What do you want? A dog, a snake, a dragon? Whatever it is you want me to make, I can make it." He thought it was a good offer. Clearly this one was a little stranger than he thought. A little childish even. Perhaps the infinite possibilities might actually get him interesting and with a bit of distraction, he could use it as a chance to get away.





Vance nearly snapped at the figure tugging on his sleeve, but his eyes opened wide in surprise at the curtsy she gave and the question of his status. So there is some hope for this guild after all. He smiled at Thea and bowed back.
"That I am. Lord Vance Dorian at your service. Say, what house do you originate from young lady? You curtsy very well for someone so young I must say." Vance complimented. He thought he liked this one. She seemed respectable enough and knew how to conduct herself properly. Although one question did spring to mind- What was someone as young as her doing here?

Caliborn's eyes lit up and he immediately took the mask away from Ander. Mikasa was a stressful enough situation. Ander picked a wrong time to perform this stunt.
"Ander, what do you think you're doing?" Caliborn snapped, handing the mask back to Calxiyn. "Evanora, the leader of this Guild specifically instructed that this mask is given to the girl as a matter of life and death. I don't care who you think you are, but you are far, far out of line! You want answers, I understand that, but you do not interfere in business mandated by the highest order in this guild! Am I clear?" He bore down on Ander, looking him straight in the eyes.
"I will have an apology. As will Calxiyn. Understand, Ander? Don't test me child." Caliborn warned, arms folded. Just what I need. Someone being so arrogant when there's already this mess with Mikasa and Boreal to deal with! "Then you may leave. You will not have the answers you seek here. A suitable reprimand for your insolence." As if it wasn't clear enough that Ander was being told to go away, Caliborn gestured for him to leave. And quickly.

Caliborn heard the yelling for the mask and quite calmly walked over to where Ra and Cal stood, together apparently. He didn't say anything or give any outwards sign, but he wondered if Cal and Ra had something going? It was an odd combination, but equally he didn't know either of them that well, so who was he to judge? Perhaps it was simply nothing, that too was possible. In any case, when he arrived he took out the mask and handed it over directly to Cal.
"I believe you were looking for this young lady." Caliborn said. "Evanora asked me to give it to you. You must keep it safer, if it is so important. Never let it fall into someone else's hands again."

Boreal stayed quiet from that point on, unwilling to anger the apparently psychopathic man with multiple personalities. This one... This one he would have to plan a bit more to deal with. He almost felt sorry for his brother- Almost. Not even Dale deserved to be stuck in the guild of raging psychopaths. He was starting to feel very, very uncomfortable in the cell. Is this even a nice guild? They could well be a Dark Guild of some kind, judging by some of their members. Let's see- Girl carrying mask of darkness and power, crazy ***** Mikasa and then whoever the hell this guy is. He was sure he heard them mention someone called Ezekiel. Apparently it was too dangerous to put Boreal in the desert with him. He envied the man, whoever he was. At least in the desert he was far, far away from this lot. Oh and there was the batty justice lady at the Island, Mr Punchy, Golden Birdman and then some other people who didn't seem to have much in the way of defining characteristics. Well this is just fantastic. I have to get out of here before I get eviscerated, although I have a feeling that this guy is also S-Class. Not only that, but even crazier than Mikasa was. I don't even have a clue as to how to manipulate him!

Boreal fell to the ground, landing on his knees. He yelped in pain as he hit the ground roughly, landing on the hard ground. He waited for Mikasa to leave and then stood up. He groaned as he picked himself up off the ground and dusted himself off. He wiped the blood leaking out of his mouth on his sleeve and straightened himself up.
"Thank you, for your timely intervention." Boreal said. He retreated the Ice Kagune from his back and looked up at Trevor. "If you may, let me stand a while. After that beating I need to stretch my limbs and recover." At that point, BOREAL slipped down the wall and landed on his backside. He grunted in pain again. He stretched his legs and arms out, moaning.
"Bloody hell... I'm sorry for this." Boreal apologised. "It's been a rough afternoon."

****! ****! ****! That hurt! He had to think of a way out of this, and quickly. Except of course, there wasn't much he could do. He snarled at her and did the best he could.
"Ice Make Rinkaku!" Boreal shouted, gasping for breath. The icy kagune formed up on his back and he braced up again the wall. He put a good amount of magical strength in, so that he could resist his head being slammed against the wall. That should prevent any serious damage for a while at least. Luckily, the door opened and another person walked in. "Help! She's trying to kill me!" Boreal gripped her hand, trying to rip it off his head.

Good. Good. Just as planned. Unfortunately, he hadn't expected her to use Satan Soul magic and then hold him by his neck into the air. He'd have to make his move quickly. He looked her straight in the eyes and began to form up a plan. The solution was simple of course. Ice. Boreal created ice around the place that Mikasa was holding him around the neck. The ice grew, separating her hand from the flesh of his neck so all she had to hold on to was the ice. At that moment, he shattered it. Unfortunately, it didn't exactly work out and she managed to grab him again. ****. That didn't go as planned at all. **** you RNGesus! Now he had to figure a way out of this. She's hardly going to be reasonable. Maybe I can distract her somehow...
"So, this is what Caliborn was saying about changing? Not understanding, not trying to be kinder? Isn't this what you hated being?" Boreal choked. "He believed in you Mikasa! Are you going to test that faith?" He was out of breath now. If he didn't get air soon then...
