Alessia glared at Kageyama beneath her, the voices of the others echoing around her. Caleb was saying some self righteous tripe about the threat passing and human nature. She heard Zephyr telling her she didn't need to hold him at sword point. He had picked up the flute, and with no way of getting to it now, she relented. She sheathed the sword on her back. "Alright... Zephyr." She spoke, digging her heel into the chest of the prone Kageyama, her fists clenched. "But I'm not moving until he has given us all the answers we want and someone official appears to drag him away. Even though you have the flute, I don't trust him not to try something again." Jack was being useful for once, and actually asking important questions and making important points. She had never thought of that. How did they find out? Vance listened politely as Conrad dared to interrupt him and speak to them. Admittedly, the man got the answers that he was looking for out of them. So, they travelled a lot? Given that they were dressed well enough, he assumed that they had a fair amount of wealth behind them if they were able to travel and keep themselves respectable. And with that in mind, it made some sense that they stayed here. He had some sense of practicality, and why not stay somewhere cheaper if it helped them conserve money? Of course, it was by no means preferable. He frowned in his thoughts. Why do I think that this is... Acceptable? It is hardly acceptable. Staying in a brothel is terrible. And I'm speaking to these people? Even though they keep themselves tidy, they're obviously not of my kind. So why am I even giving time to speak to them? They don't merit my attention. Besides, I have a daughter to find. Not to mention that Conrad is there, speaking to them. What am I even doing? As he was preoccupied with his personal considerations, he said nothing, He would need to find a way to disengage. Well that escalated quickly. Edric frowned as the drunk Damian began to rant at the poor boy after he attempted to coax the lad into bed with him. That revealed to him two things. One, the preferences of Damian, and the second far more importantly, that drink soured the mood of the lad. And it wasn't ending well. He was reminiscing about the past, the nature of his father. It sounded as if he was well off at least, but it didn't sound like a happy childhood. Damian had at least switched the conversation, but he feared that his conversation partner would be well put off by the display that he had just given. Not that he could blame him either. Reallly, he would have had more luck sober and reasonable, if he could actually speak. Edric felt a little bad for him honestly. Maybe I should have taken things a little slower. Just because I don't react badly, doesn't mean that other people don't. If the boy started to get rowdy then he'd have to rein him in. Even as he sipped his beer, he questioned the wisdom of his decision. Perhaps it was best not to introduce him like that. However, he couldn't just sit here all night. He may as well talk to people and he had a question or two to ask the supposed King of Beggars over there... "So! Mester King O' Beggars, interestin' teetle ya got yerself there. How'd ye come by tha'?" Edric asked. "Seems yer an' important fella aroond heere. Soo, I have ta ask, wha's between ye, and Zeeapherine?"
Somehow... And she wasn't sure how... Quinn did it. Somehow, in the midst of firing his weapon the bullet found its way perfectly and Erigor just dropped from the skies. They had survived, somehow, they had survived. She flew the sword (lol) down to the ground, ready to congratulate everyone. However, it was not that easy. Kageyama had stolen the flute and drove away but fortunately enough, they were in pursuit. Not to mention just in time, as they arrived to stop Kageyama from doing whatever it was he was going to do. The other Guild Masters were out here in the woods for some reason, maybe they were taking a break, and they witnessed the event as Kageyama was stopped. She ignored the somewhat flamboyant Guild Master, focusing on the coward in front of them. As tempted as she was to break the flute, it was likely better not to, so she sufficed for something else. She kicked Kageyama to the floor, knocking him away from it and drew sword putting it at his throat with her boot on his chest holding him down. "I don't know what you planned to do with this, but you will answer me now!" Alessia demanded. "What did you plan to do with this? What does Lullaby do exactly? You'll tell me everything, every last detail and I won't kill you, even though it's the least you deserve."
Vance raised an eyebrow at the offer of company. He immediately got suspicious vibes and was almost about to discount them immediately, however the sight of the firearm in the belt of one of them made him relent a moment. Pistols were not cheap, he knew this, and to be able to maintain the weapon and provide the ammunition it would require a great deal of funding. Therefore and thusly, he elected to give them another glance. While the pistol wielding woman showed more than was perhaps considered decent, she still managed to keep herself held well and her clothes despite being somewhat revealing were at least smart to some degree. Her companion was far more conservative and the elegant circlet upon her head gave him a better impression. Perhaps they were not entirely what they seemed, however some of the women in here while attractive were certainly for sale and therefore not worthy of his attention. Of course, Vance could not help but wonder - What sort of respectable crowd would enter such a place, let alone have business? Curiosity it seemed, would get the better of him. Vance approached and took at the table with the two women. "I bid you good evening." Vance spoke formally. "An interesting pair you two make, with interesting arms to match." He indicated the woman's pistol. His situational awareness allowed him to pick up on the conversation between Zéphyrine and the people known as Cat and Aisha. Something piqued his curiosity, and he would investigate later. "Your names perchance? You may call me Vance." He requesting, deciding to discern the identities and natures of his present company to begin with. "Veery good Damian mah boy." Edric clapped. The waitress asked what he and Damian wanted. The cogs in his head ticked for a couple of moments before coming to a conclusion. "Yer strongest stuff. Leek what Ee have here. Keep et coming 'til Ee say we're doone. Laddie heere es gonna learn a theng or two aboot drinkin tonight. Poor boy never got educated tha' way." With drinks guaranteed to be in constant supply, Edric began his explanation of how to drink. "Noo then, fer drinkin'. Drinkin' es special. Noo matter who ya're, ye can connect ta people with et. Drinkin' es trust. Ef ya wouldn'a drink with someone, then ye shouldn't trust 'em. Bu' that's beeside tha point right noo. Ya can drink in several ways. Depends what yer lookin' fer. Ef yer wantin' ta enjoy yer drink, ye take somethin' weaker usually, low ta medium strength, boot with more flavour. Keeps ya sober boot keeps ya happy. Boot... There's drinkin' ta get drunk. Noo tha'... Ye want somethin' with alreet flavour, amazin' if ye can find et, but ye want medium ta strong. Tha' sorta stuff will get ya drinl. an' the strength es how quick ya wanna lose et. Ye don' look like ya've been drunk before, soo... I'll be teachin' ya tha'. Thes, assumin' these folk knoo their drink, should have some pretty strong stuff. Noo, how do ya drink? Leek Ee said, depends. Fer speed... Fuckin' quaff the stuff 'til yer perspective on things starts changin'. 'Cause when the alcohol es en swing, yer limitations are gone, what was once inconceivable es poosible. Tha', es the power o' alcohol. An' you lad, are gonna witness et tonight!" Edric raised his jug in the air and motioned for Damian to do the same with his pint and clinked the two together. "Cheers Damian lad! Noo, drink up!" With that Edric began to enthusiastically guzzle the jug of beer in his hand, savouring the bitter taste as it flowed seemingly endlessly into his mouth. When the jug was empty, he slammed the jug on to the wooden table. "Another!"
"Aye, we did make et. With not too much trouble either." Edric acknowledged. Hearing that drinks were on the house, he grinned widely and approached the bar. He was given an entire jug to drink from, given that his specifications for drink quantity could only be measured in their jugs and not in pints. He was naturally pleased with this and decided that he needed to get a new tankard, preferably of this size. He sat down heavily at a table, the chair creaking with the enthusiasm of his seating. He noticed Damian, the hooded boy awkwardly asking for drinks and facepalmed. That boy, is not doing it right at all. He needs help getting drinks. Edric stood up, the chair scraping against the floor loudly and walked over to him. He probably doesn't even know how to do it properly. "Noo lad, Ee can tell a beginner when Ee see one. Yer new ta the whoole drinkin' thing en't ya? Weel, as et happens, ya have me! Eedric, tha best teacher o' drinkin' ye'll feend anywhere. Noo then... Do ya want ta learn ta drink leek a master?" Edric grinned broadly at Damian, his eyes alight with mischief. This could be fun. Very, very fun. Vance reluctantly followed the others to the tavern. He didn't particularly want to go to whatever den of scum that Edric planned on taking them to, and the presence of the ever controversial Zéphyrine did nothing to encourage him. However, it seemed that Thea was determined to go and thus, he was forced to follow his daughter into the den of those lowborn scum. He tried not to scowl as he walked in, seeing that they were all of Zéphyrine's ilk. His enormous self control permitted him to preserve his decorum. This place was... Intolerable. He wished that he had invested in his own personal flask of drink to use for himself. He wouldn't lay a hand on their swill. Vance Dorian only partook of quality beverages and quality these beverages were not. He noticed that Conrad had also come with them and seemed to be enjoying himself immensely acquainting himself with some people over a beer (one of which may have been called John). What a filthy sympathiser he was. Still, he supposed that not everyone could be like him. After all, exceptional people had to be the exception rather than the rule for them to be of any use. He looked around the room suspiciously. Where was Thea? She disappeared for a moment when he wasn't looking around when Edric called them all to the tavern and yet... He couldn't see her. His eyes flicked back and forth across the room, scanning for the small figure of his adopted daughter. Where did she go?
Alessia gulped in fear as the horror of the situation in front of her became clear. They were fucked. Whatever Quinn's plan was, it didn't work out. Her RP'er was unable to convince the owner to edit the battle post. Their time was short. They had to do a shitload of damage in order to win. There was only one way that they could do this. She felt sorry for poor Zephyr as he was blasted out of the sky, and the rest of them. Her, Quinn and Caleb had to win. The only way to win this for certain was to enact a plan so ridiculous that it was questionable that it would even work. But they had no choice. Setting the air around her alight and striking out against Erigor, she swept in to defend Quinn. "Caleb, defend me!" She shouted. Alessia used Fire Surge and blocked for Quinn.
"Aaaaaaaalllrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeet bitches! Wee're goin' ta tha tavern! Follow me!" With that tasteful piece of dialogue, Edric led the way to the tavern that he somehow knew the location of with the people that wanted to come along. When was he told that? He didn't even remember. Sure enough they arrived at the tavern PDQ, because fuck travel times this has taken far too long already. "Oi, people pleaser! Get yer ass oot here!" Edric called, with his usual tact. Erigor was no longer messing around, that was plain to see. He wiped out their healers effortlessly. She shuddered a little. So much power... Luckily, her Barrier Surge came back up, so she could defend again. Quinn seemed to be building up to something, so, much to her regret, she left Zephyr undefended and moved over to protect Quinn. "Come on, let's finish this! We're running out of time!" Alessia used Barrier Surge and blocked for Quinn
"Ayyy, tha's the spirit! Noo, let's try an' get drunk! Shaame tha' Thomas kid en't heere. Eem gonna get 'im drunk again, et was a good laugh." Edric spoke enthusiastically, slapping Zéphyrine on the back. He whistled to himself as he walked downstairs again. Got another one! I am the best recruiter! As soon as he got into the main hall, he stood up on a table and cupped his hands around his mouth. "Alreet Sapphire Eclipse! Boy have Ee got news fer ye! We have a new member! Miss Zeephareene has joined ta guild! Soo... We're gonna get drinks! Who's with me?" He was loud and enthusiastic in his speech, so much so that his voice echoed off the sides of the hall. "Well, I suppose you would meet my parents yes, although I'm not sure you'll be particularly fond of your new grandparents." Vance replied honestly. He couldn't say that he thought that much of his father. He respected his father, he deserved at least that much, but he was hardly a lovable father and his mother was kept suppressed by his behaviour and attitude so if she were loving (and he believed that perhaps she might have been given the chance), it would be a moot point because it would never be shown. "You see, father was not the nicest person in the world. He is a man that can be respected, but by no means can he be loved I think. He was not a loving father, and I think that he stopped mother from being loving too. As such, it was not necessarily comfortable being their child. However, they did teach me well and for that I can be thankful. I am prepared for the world, if a little lacking in the family oriented department. No matter. Surely I can learn that as we go along. Perhaps even father will come round to you. You certainly left an impression on me and as the saying goes, like father like son..." As he quoted that, it occurred that the statement also had a less positive connotation that suggested that he would turn out just like his father. No, I will not allow myself to come to that. There is no reason to be so cruel to a child! As he spoke to Thea, the unmistakable Scottish tones of Edric pierced his eardrums. "Oh dear, what does that m- Oh dear. What is Edric thinking?" Vance looked over at him. "The madman just allowed Zéphyrine into the guild!"
"Mebbe. Et's easy ta thenk ye don' belong anywhere. Ya see, me wife an' me squad taught me tha' was wroong back en the dee. Different teem noo, but the lesson es true enywee." Edric agreed nodding. She seemed to laugh at the joke about murdering them all so, that bode well. So, maybe he could get her to join the Guild with minimal problems. Why she couldn't have been this reasonable in the first place was a bit of an irritation. It would have saved him a lot of bother with all this, but it seemed to have worked out in the end. And, well, maybe if he hadn't done what he'd done then she'd have never turned to this anyway so, probably worth it all happening. He smiled at the Ezekiel comment. "Yee, that Ezekiel wus a dick. Turned oot to be some kinda pretty blond bitched too." He looked her in the eyes and straightened up. He offered a hand. "Soo, whaddya thenk? Wan' ta give Sappeere Ehclipse a goo?" He offered. Moment of truth!
Edric barked a laugh, eyes wide and looking surprised. He gave her an utterly confused look. "Ye thought ye wouldn'a fit en? Gods woma- Ee doon' even knoo. Look aroond at the folks we 'ave, They're all fuckin' weird! There en't rhyme nor reason to et! T'es what t'es! We got high class folk an' loo class an' everythin' en between! We got a shiny goolden bird bloke! We're bloody weird! Fuck, there's an ol' ex-cop fella en front o' ya hoo spends moost o' his teem tryin'a get drunk! An' ye think ye woon't fet en? Suuure, yer a blooke half the teem but that en't nothin'! Don' matter none ta me oor the rest! Meeght do to tha' up hi ass nooble blooke but Vahnce es a speeshul snooflake y'knoo." Edric rambled, gesturing for emphasis at times. For someone so cocky and snarky, they're really self doubting. That isn't surprising actually. A veneer of confidence is often a good shield to hide behind for people with very little. "Why'ja thenk et's impossible? Et's veery poossible. Ye jus' have ta try. We don' care who ya're. Oonless yer gonna murder us. we meeght care a lil' aboot that. Yer not plannin' to are ya?" He cracked a smile.
"Yer bein' ahful veague aboot thengs, gotta say." Edric commented, looking back at her. "Listen ta me, Ee en't doin' this 'cos et's fun. Ee'm doin' et 'cos yer messin' mah guild aboot with yer acshuns, an' ye've messed me aboot. Ee doon' care aboot ye leadin' me mates off, 'cos they're free folk an' et don' matter none ta me wha' they do in theer spair teem. Ee don' want ta do thes. Yer jus' not givn me many oother options are ya? Ee don't have ya join the guild, ye screw wi' oos more." Edric sighed. He wasn't even sure if it was worth bothering at this point. Now that the temper had died down, it almost seemed utterly pointless. He sighed again, irritated. "Ah fuck et. Fuck off some oother pleece. Jus' noot here. Join the guild, or go piss aboot with some oother pleece that ent here!" He motioned for her to leave, looking down. I hate people sometimes. They've all got their own issues and it really screws with a guy's head when he's trying to do as much of the right thing as he can.
Edric listened to what she was saying and nodded along with it. It did make sense. And she had stopped snarking at him and was talking like a mature and sensible adult. He allowed his irritation to slide and stopped part the way up the stairs to reply to what she had said. "The theng is, Ee neever had any intention o' killin' ya anyway. Ee suppose he'd get the impression. Ta be honest, Ee doon't get what's goin' on with yer friend, or ye fer that matter." Edric spoke. His manner became quieter, and he leaned against the wall. The door had shut and he was within arm's reach so she wouldn't get away in time while they stopped for a reasonable conversation. He looked down slightly, not directly at her but at the wall next to her. "An' yes. Ee do knoo what tha' es like. Doin' things ta protect somethin' worth somethin' to ya. Ee s'pose Ee get et. Ee'll tell him to cut the crap wi' me anyway, 'cos he doon' need et. Yer friend es lucky. He ain't gonna lose anyone." He looked uo at her then, seeming calm but still intent on taking her to the cell. She'd be kept for the Guild Master to deal with. Whatever Evanora's standard of 'dealing with' was. "Ye'll be kept safe at least, though, word o' warnin', if Mikasa shoos up then mind yerself. She has a temper and a half." He said, friendlier than before. "Noo, can ya do me a favour an' come wi' me an' not be a pain in the ass aboot et?" He started to go up the stairs. I swear if she runs then I'm just going to encase her in earth and be done with it. It was oddly disappointing, he found, that she only called him 'dad' because she thought it was her real father than and not him. Perhaps I have taken to this idea a lot more than I thought I would. He considered the question carefully. What did he want her to call him? It was important in a way, he needed to figure it out at some point. "Well Thea, I want you to call me whatever you feel comfortable with. To be honest with you, I liked the fact that you called me Dad however, I can see why you might find that strange as it is rather soon. Perhaps Father would be easier for you?" Vance suggested. "However you may drop the sir. As my daughter, you have no need to call me that any longer. Certainly in serious situations, father would be good and will suffice for the rest of the time until you have found something you are happy with."
She remembered Quinn's impressive display against the strange man that they had fought earlier, however it was still surprising to see the raw power he displayed. He was a fearsome foe indeed. However, Erigor showed some power of his own, but Quinn pulled through it. He couldn't help but feel some admiration for the strength of the man. She grinned and looked up at Erigor, spurred on by the sight. She looked around at Zephyr. "Zephyr, I'll cover you in a sec. I'll be right back!" She sped her Hover Sword forwards and set the blade and area around her alight, striking Erigor. "Not so weak are we, Erigor? That scythe doesn't make a terribly good fly swatter now doesn't it?" Alessia used Fire Dash
"Ye aim ta please? Bloody spineless sycophant." Edric muttered darkly, shaking his head at the man who had appeared out of seemingly nowhere. He almost wished he hadn't accepted the offer to drink with him, because he hated people like him. No personality or morals of their own, just bloody fakes that went around trying to be people pleasers. He couldn't stand the type. He continued to haul Zéphyrine, practically dragging her along behind him as he crossed the grounds with long, impatient strides. He ignored Zéphyrine and pulled her through the guild hall and up the stairs, taking them three at a time in his impatience. Now, to use Mikasa's stupid door. The S-Class floor had its own job board amongst other things, but among the most ridiculous things up here was the tower door. Mikasa was a special snowflake. She couldn't just have a tower to herself, which was greedy as it was. No, she had to make it unreasonably annoying to get to. Sighing, Edric looked for the all too familiar Mikasa PTSD Job notice. Somehow, and he had no idea how because she was not a mechanic to his knowledge, nor did she have the required magic, the door had been wired up so that whenever one pulled on the correct job it opened up. He pulled the paper and lo and behold, the door opened inwards, leading to a staircase. "Such a fucking stupid door. She couldn'a put a normal door on et leek everyone else..." He grumbled, leading the woman behind him up the stairs to meet the new prisoner. Watching Thea, it seemed as if the little one had spaced out for a while, as if her attention was not entirely on this world at all but on something else, something ethereal. He had no clue as to what it could have been, but something snapped her out of it and he found her gripping him tightly with her head buried into his coat. "Calm Thea, calm. No harm has been done." Vance said as soothingly as possible. He smiled a little when she called him 'dad'. He hadn't expected to hear that for many years, nor ever after that irritating contract was made. And there, he had a daughter. Not by blood, but it was enough. Now, his daughter needed taking care of. "Come on little one, stand up. We'll go back to the Guild Hall now." Vance helped Thea to her feet and took one of her little hands in his. Taking out a handkerchief, he knelt down and wiped her eyes and face before folding it as neatly as possible with one hand and stowed it back in a pocket inside his coat (having had transferred the contents of his old longcoat into his new Phoenix Coat). "Ready?" When she confirmed, he gave her hand a little squeeze and began to lead her back home.
Sure thing, go for it! I just checked with Cal and it's all clear. Try and pick up any spells that you can. If you can't, then don't worry, magic is being reworked a bit to make it well, work better so if there aren't any now, there will be.
It's cool apart from Sacrifice. That's level 13 XD However, might I suggest using some different attacks to replace some of the weaker ones. You can find some of the magic in this doc which you may find useful. You should at least use the upgraded versions of many of those spells I think (Cura, Thundaga, Aeroga). Hope this helps! : ) The only magic we have that does healing really is Sky Dragonslayer. The cure magic is kind of an exception to the rule to be honest. So, you could go for a Sky Dragonslayer (And be like my S-Class character Caliborn. If you wanted, then we could try and go for some teacher/student kind of thing there). Alternatively, you could pick another form of magic if being a dragonslayer doesn't appeal. OR you could wait until after the upcoming tournament because I want to try and add in some kind of healing magic at some point after that (If Cal will let me of course) and that might be what you're looking for. In any case, look at Sky Dragonslayer and if you're not into that, then pick up another magic because there's plenty of it! As a side note, I approve of your avatar being Ciri. Always good to see another Witcher fan out there XD
Edric released his grasp on Zéphyrine, satisfied that she was going to be dealt with. He would follow up on that offer of a drink, if only to be polite, however some things just weren't going to fly. He narrowed his eyes at Clopin. "Ee have noo idea who ya think I am mate, but ya seem ta have me wrong. Ee might be a drinker, Ee might not be the best person... Boot I ain't stupid. An Ee'm not so descriminatory as ya think. Girls are free ta have ideas. Ee just doon't care foor 'em when they involve stealin' from mah guild and moouthin' me off as an excuse ta get away from the fact tha' they they've done fucked up." Edric snapped. "Take yer assertions an' yer assumptions... And shove 'em up yer arse where ya pulled 'em from 'cause y'ain't half as clever as ya seem ta think y'are. Noo that's oot the way, Ah'll move Zeepharine and meet ya for tha' drink. Mebbe we'll start off fresh an' Ee'll ignore that lood o' bollocks ye just caame oot with." With that, he took Zéphyrine by the forearm and stormed back towards the Guild, leaving Vance to deal with Thea. That friend of her's, what an idiot. It seems that he's not the only one to be fooled by the voice and the attitude. They seem to believe me ignorant and stupid. Let them find out that's not entirely the case. It's all the more satisfying when I get to ruin all their 'clever' assumptions. Arrogant bastards the lot of them.
"Oh fucking woman, look at what ye've done!" Edric snarled. The situation was dire to say the least. The girl was all but on fire and her magic was getting out of hand. "Noo then, yeh've managed ta upset a veeery unstable child! Oore ya prood o' what ye've done? Yeh've stoolen from mah guild, yeh've upset Thea and caused a magical accident in the bloody street! Ee'll extend the offer to ya again, Zeeapharine. Ah'm willin' ta be reasonable. Ee've talked aboot gettin' the authorities invoolved en thes business an' that es still on the table. We can resolve this fairly easily. Beesides, if ya want mooney, we've got et en jobs ye can doo. There are oonly advantages. Surely, someone like ye acting oot of yer oon agenda, whatever tha' es, can see that." He didn't exactly expect the situation to pan out like this. Upon hindsight, it was likely not the best idea he had ever had, however, he didn't particularly feel like keeping unnecessary secrets from his daughter. The extent of her lack of self control was duly noted for future reference. Suddenly, things got a lot worse when the heat around burst into flame. It was at this point that he was glad that his coat was fire ******ant. His face seared from the incredible flames, however with the Phoenix Coat protecting him, he stepped through the heat and pulled Thea tight to his chest, remaining calm despite the severity of the situation. It's almost as if fate saw this coming, giving me the coat that resists flames. That should put her mind at ease at the very least, that I cannot be hurt by her fires while I wear this. Doing his best to ignore the heat, he stroked Thea's hair quickly, in an attempt to try and comfort her, although he wasn't entirely sure what to do. "Thea, it's fine, calm down. I am unharmed, the situation is under control. I am here. Your father is here." Vance spoke, summoning words as quickly as possible. He tried to pick her up and carry her, but only succeeded in lifting her off the ground a bit before having to put her down. I really need to work on my physique! He settled for kissing her on the forehead instead. "Everything is alright. Just calm down, try and relax. You haven't hurt me. My new coat grants me resistance to fire."
"Thea... It might seem unlikely or untrue when I say this however, believe me when I say that this..." Vance spoke, stepping up behind Thea and placing a hand on his adopted daughter's shoulder. He pointed at the woman who Edric held roughly. However, given the circumstances he was hardly surprised. "This is the person you know as Zephyros. He, they perhaps, are a shapeshifter. I've seen them switching genders previously. She goes by Zéphyrine in this form. None of this has anything to do with her appearance, rather to do with the fact that she led you and I and the rest of the guild out on an adventure without S-Class authority. I don't expect that this is a bad thing per say, however when you consider that she slipped on to one of our mission before, with Edric no less under the guise of being a member of the guild... I can see why there are problems. All he is doing is addressing the issue of her fraudulent behaviour while providing a fair deal. That is fairly reasonable when you consider that she effectively stole her share from the Guild as she received the payment despite not being a member." It was about time that she was dealt with. Although they had their uses, neither Zephyros or Zéphyrine was truly one of them and as such should not be interacting with them in such a way. The fact that she had gotten away with going on a mission once was enough. Now that she had admitted to it... Well... It was only natural. Theft was theft after all. "Ee ahm bein' as fair as possible to ya, Zeaepharine. As et stands, ye've stolen from oor guild and ya deserve ta be dealt with legally. Thes way, ya get the money yer lookin' for an' ye doon't get the prison sentence." Edric's eyes narrowed at the woman. "Noo, can we come ta a civil agreement, or es et goin' ta have ta be difficult. Ee'd rather et was the easy way boot..." Edric's left hand folded into a fist at his side and his mouth became a hard line. He was aware that there was a child there, and he would rather things not get any more messy, but he could hardly allow this thief to traipse about like this and get involved with the guild's business completely free and unhindered, not to mention in so brazen a manner.
"Weeell, ta be honest, the first time ah met ya, Ee thought ye was a new member. We get so many o' the bloody things these days. Noo... Ya just admiited ta me that y'aint. Soo, Ee'll give ya a choice miss Zayephreene..." Edric, with his considerable strength, grabbed the arm that Zéphyrine held out with the money hat. He looked straight into her eyes. "Get oot o' here an' never bother Sapphire Eclipse again. Oor, an' Ee think et's fairer, ye can join oos. An' ya can send the money where et needs ta goo. Yeh've slipped aroond here plenty, et's time ya actually started contributing to us." Unknown to Edric, Vance smirked behind him.
Alessia, driving like a madwoman, slammed the brakes as soon as they caught up to Cassandra, Erigor and the rest. The resultant force threw her out of the car, smashing through the windscreen and sending her rolling across the ground a couple of meters since she didn't bother wearing a seatbelt. Upon hindsight, it was not the cleverest but it was a miracle that she had got this far without incident. However, with a quick Aero spell she blasted herself into the air and landed on her feet, her legs wobbling with the shock of the landing. She heard Erigor's challenge, and saw Cassandra's mystical floating swords appear. Seriously Cassandra? You couldn't have given us more than one sword to stand on. How are we meant to stand on these things? Sighing, she stood on the sword and she put pressure on the hilt, making it move up into the air. "What you are trying to do is evil... I will not allow it to continue, nor your petty insults!" Alessia shouted, speeding towards Erigor, her sword at the ready. She engaged the Barrier Shield and swooped into place to block for the unfortunate Zephyr whom she had tortured with her awful driving. She would have to apologise for that later. Alessia used Barrier Surge and blocked for Zephyr
