TEXTURE MOD TUTORIAL When making a texture mod, start by having a party that consists of both the character you want to give textures and the character/whatever you want to take textures from. You also have to activate the code in the room you hacked it in, though you can go whereever you like once it's activated. For this tutorial I'll mod Sora to have some of Donald's textures. Once you've got the characters you're texture modding, start up EmuHaste. Then hit "Snap process". Now click on "File dump" to save the information you just snapped. Then open the file dump with PS2Dis. We'll start by finding Sora's texture adresses. The first step is to find his "heartblock". Heartblocks are located relatively far into the code, so I recommend you press "g", and then type in "01000000" as the adress. This will take you to adress 0100000. Now press "Shift+3" to search. We're looking for Sora's heartblock, so we'll search for Sora's UCM digit, "0054". In the upper right part of PS2Dis' window, you can see some information about the adresses' values. You can see when you are at a Heartblock, because there are (usually) 5 lines - the first being the UCM digit - where the 3 bottom ones have a @-mark in the upper right window. These 3 lines are the pointers for models, effects, and animations. Textures are part of the model, which is 3rd from the top. Double-click on it and copy the value. Then hit "g", paste the value, and hit "Enter". We are now at Sora's model "overview" (not sure what to call it). In the upper right corner, you should see some information such as p_ex and tim_@. Click the "@" in tim_@. Then copy the value, and once again hit "g" and paste that value. This takes us to where the texture adresses are located. To find the "correct" adresses, you need to look in the upper-right window for "0." in the left side (look at the image to see what i mean). There are usually several of these (4-6 normally, as I recall), though exactly how many depends on the character. The first one is always a sort of "master texture", which 8as far as I can tell) determines how the textures are placed on the model, and what color palettes they use. To see exactly what the rest of the adresses are, you can try inserting random values like "00000000" or "FFFFFFFF" and see what has changed in-game. Here's an example where I used "20940374 00000000" (which means I used adress 00940374. because I'm modifying the entire value field, the first digit must be changed to a 2). As you can see, this adress is the texture most of Sora's clothes. I'll be using that. I go through the same procedure with Donald to find out which adress has the texture for his clothes. The adress is 20D55794 and the value is 00D659C0. I now copy the value "00D659C0" and paste it as Sora's clothes value. This gives us the code "20940374 00D659C0". And this is how that code makes Sora look. As you can see, it looks very messy (pretty much all texture mods do), especially because I didn't change Sora's "master texture". This means that the game is using Donald's texture, but it is using Sora's color palette. You can also mess a bit with the value to change where the texture is placed. 20940374 00D659C0 Changing this part of the value (increasing/decreasing) moved the texture up/down. This controls vertical placement Changing this part of the value (increasing/decreasing) moved the texture right/left. This controls horizontal placement
He was asking how to do texture mods; you linked an animation mod. I vaguely remember how to do it, just don't have time to type it down atm. EDIT: VVV That's what I meant.
There is only one Spidey, and that is the goofy-ass Tobey-Spidey. I also like that they somehow managed to make his spider-costume look even dumber than the original. (Just kidding, the real Spider-Man is the one from the PSX-game) EDIT: VVV ALL the movies sucked, Spidey 3 was just extra bad.
I think you might have made an error somewhere in the animation mods. It worked fine until I activated those, then it crashed. EDIT: VVV Oh, that's probably the problem, then. You should consider adding a line to your code that equips Donald with that weapon.
VirtualDub is a free program that can save the frames of .avi files as a .gif file. Animation Shop can also do this, but it's not free (as far as I can remember).
@nightmight9: Not possible. As for Mickey, don't think I've ever seen a code that makes him use finishers. If you want him to be able to beat bosses, you should role mod to turn bosses into normal enemies. I made a variant of a pearl animation mod for Mickey, which replaces his (imo) useless long-distance keyblade thrust. Code: Play as Mickey *Pearl fix* (R2) 11CE0B68 00000318 E004FDFF 0034D45C 20ACA408 00B304F0 20ACA418 00B30520 20ACA428 00B39470 20ACA434 00B305B0 Activate joker in Hall of the Cornerstone.

You have to set an "8" in front of the ability digit some that it's like: xxxxxxxx 00008yyy (xx=whatever adress / yy=ability digit) The "8" means that the ability is equipped, while a "0" is an unequipped ability. @superman Play as Mickey 11CE0B68 00000318 Mickey's Keyblade replaced by Starseeker 11CD4ADC 00000769
It's still TBA as far as I can see. Only thing I've heard is that 4.0 is to be released shortly after 3.0.
@P Well, it's a matter of preference I guess. Though it seemed more like yelling in frustration than sobbing to me. Spoiler Also, beast/berserk Eva is still cooler :B|: EDIT: And, uh, I guess I'm kind of getting off-topic. This thread was really just supposed to answer wether or not Evangelion was worth watching, wasn't it?
1) Animation mods are made by replacing animations. He doesn't have any to replace. (I guess it *might* be possible, if you can find the adresses where the spell-animations are supposed to be, but I can't atm, since m computer broke down.) 2) Probably possible. 3) Even if, for example, Final Form's finisher-animation plays, Sora's keyblade will still act as though he is doing normal Sora's finisher. Let's say you're replacing guard break with Final Form's finisher. The animation will play, but the keyblade will only hit a single time, because it thinks you are using guard break.
(I realize I'm responding to this a bit late, but please bear with me) How is that more badass? He did practically the same in the show (except if you mean the part where Spoiler he seems to be in control of the "berserking" Eva .)
Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person on the planet who enjoyed the TV-series ending more than End of Evangelion.
Use either 00000320 or 000000B0 as the value (can't remember which should be correct atm, but one of them should be).
Yeah, the Rebuilds are also worth a watch, especially because they just look so damn nice. I'd say they are some of the best looking animated films I've seen. As for the story/characters, I prefer the original show for the most part, though I must admit the movies do a better job when it comes to portraying Shinji's relationship to Misato. (There's this mother-vibe that just weren't really there in the show.)
True or not, the fact that people are freaking out about this is pretty hilarious.
The "not-so-solid" heartless manufactory is actually the place you want to be. Go into the big round area. There should be a hole in the floor with a loooong staircaser down. You can walk all the way down, through the door, through the corridor, into the room of sleep.
There's an entire thread for that. Go back a couple of pages in the Code Vault. EDIT: http://www.kh-vids.net/showthread.php?80486-Kingdom-Hearts-Final-Mix-NTSC-J-Codes
Totally agree with this. A lot of people seem to hate Shinji, even though he does eventually grow as a character (Zeruel battle comes to mind, as well as the final two episodes). Shinji's "whining" does make sense. He basically hasn't been shown any love his entire life, his father hates his guts, he's made to suffer to defend the world on ihs own, etc. That's a pretty ****ing heavy burden for a 14-year old. EDIT: VVV I have already watched both Rebuild 1.0 and 2.0
Emil/Karma - Nier Soundtrack (Basically all of Nier's amazing soundtrack, but this one in particular)
Ah yes, Evangelion, probably my favorite anime of all time. Like P said, it's worth giving a try. If you don't like it, that's cool I guess, but it really is a classic. As for the plot, I guess I can see why some have trouble understanding it (I don't, really), but really, I always viewed Evangelion as a story about people, not necessarily mecha-battles. EDIT: @P: Spoiler Selee wants to perform Human Instrumentality Project (based off a book whose name escapes me atm. Basically, taking mankind to the next "step" of evolution, merging them all into one being. This is pretty much what happens in the TV-series' end). Gendo doesn't care about that, he wants his dead wife back. The Angels are a mystery. Humanity seems to have tried H.I.P. on Adam, but it caused the Second Impact. Selee make Eva's based off Adam to make their own god, and complete H.I.P. I must admit I'm unsure why they have Lilith in the "basement". Maybe Gendo's way of misleading Selee, since he himself has taken Adam?), since everyone else seem to think it's Adam down there. EDIT 2: Spoiler I was a bit hasty with the Angels. Their motives are a mystery. The Angels themselves are supposedly alternate paths humanity could have taken. This is why their DNA is so similar, and why humanity is the final Angel.
