Dexeon portaled near Silax and Garxena. "Oh, sorry. You're having a moment. Want me to come back later?" OOC: *sigh* yeah...
"She trusts me completely." Dexeon assured Hideo. "Good. Takeshi wasn't a waste then." Hideo murmured. "What about Zen? Is he secure?" "Yes, sir." Dexeon replied. "I've made sure he can't get away." Hideo nodded. "Go back to her, before she starts to suspect something."
Elijah turned and gave Edward a questioning look. "Hannah's a popular girl," He murmured. "Keep a close watch on her if you care so much." Not bothering to get his gun, he stalked out of the stables.
"I take it back." Elijah clenched his jaw. Great. Now I've got to go through the trouble of finding her again. AND she's going to be out of the city.
Elijah kept his voice steady, "She tried... to kill my sister.... She's a monster.... and you know it. Why... do you defend her...?" He was a bit surprised at Edward's strength. The only reason I can think of is that's he's a vampire too.
"You must be Edward." Elijah choked out. "You want a reason? I'm sorry to say that the only one I have is to kill your girlfriend. You know what she'll do. What she tried to do to my sister. Why leave her alive?"
Elijah headed to the stables. "Hannah," He called quietly, knowing he wouldn't have to be loud for her to hear. "What are you doing out during the day?" His tone was mocking. "You can't hide, Hannah." He drew his gun, ready to fire at the first thing that moved.
Elijah stopped by the inn. Hmm... this is where she went last night, but Angelyn said she was headed towards the stable.
Elijah kept his hand near his gun as he made his way to the stable. This time, I'll make sure she doesn't walk away; feelings or none.
"Elijah, you can't go after her if she's with someone." Angelyn protested. "I'll get her alone then." Elijah said, loading a gun. "It won't be hard. All I have to do is get her alone, shoot her, and finish her. It's not any different than the others I've killed." "But you like her." Angelyn said. Elijah turned to face his sister. "What did you say?" "You like her." Angelyn repeated. "I can tell. You didn't kill her right away last night, so I figured the only thing stopping you is your feelings for her." Elijah grit his teeth. "I do NOT like her. She's a monster. Now, stay here while I finish this." He left, heading for the stables.
Angelyn called for Elijah as she got inside the butcher shop. "What?" Elijah came to the front room. "I- I saw that girl again. The one from last night." Angelyn stammered. "Where?" Elijah asked. "Headed towards the stable. She was with a guy." Angelyn embraced her brother tightly. "Relax. I'll get her. She got away one time, I won't let that happen again." Elijah detached himself from Angelyn and went to the back room to gather his things.
Angelyn was walking to meet up with her friends when she caught sight of Hannah. She paused, staring at Hannah to make sure it was really the person she thought it was. I've got to tell Elijah! She started running back to the butcher shop.
Elijah half smiled, half smirked. "Of course. Come by any time, Hannah." Elijah's father led Hannah and Edward to the door silently.
Elijah eyed the two. "Mind introducing me, Hannah?" He felt a sort of resentment towards the man that held Hannah so close. As much as he hated what Hannah was, he found he didn't like her being so near anothe man.
"Follow me." Elijah's father half grumbled. He knocked on the door that led to Elijah's room. "You've a guest." He said, loud enough for Elijah to hear. Elijah let go of Hannah, placing the cross back on the beside table. "Not a word." he told her, going to the door. He opened it and looked Edward over. "I take it you know Hannah?"
Elijah's father held Edward back. "I'm afraid you'll have to wait a bit. She's not in the best shape. Travelling, even in the least, wouldn't be good for her. She can stay the night with us." Elijah met Hannah's eyes. "What are you trying to do? Be a good vampire?" He was perplexed and annoyed at the situation. "You can't be alone. How many are with you?"
Elijah's father nodded. "Yeah, I've seen her. In fact, my son brought her here not too long ago. But what are you doing with a girl like that?" Elijah grabbed Hannah's hands firmly in his free one. "It's a simple question Hannah." The cross touched Hannah's palms and drew back quickly. "All I need is an answer."
Elijah's father gave the man a scrutinizing look. "What does she look like, sir?" Elijha closed his hands on the cross. "Hannah Rose," He didn't know if he liked or dislike the look on Hannah's face. "You're being exceptionally difficult." Part of him hated seeing her so scared,and part of him enjoyed it.
Elijah's hand went to the small bedside table, lightly touching a cross. "You don't seem to understand." He looked back at Hannah. "I've killed a few of your kind before, I could just as easily do it to you. But," He met her eyes. "You seem different." His head turned at the sound of a knock. Elijah's father answered the door. "Can I help you?" Elijah turned back to Hannah. "I could be asking more difficult questions."
"I'm glad I figured it out now." Elijah said, still speaking quietly. "You're eyes, how cold you are," He paused. "How beautiful you are." He smirked at the look on Hannah's face. "How long has it been since you've 'eaten'?"
