Michael rubbed his head. "Nothing. I was just wondering what she was. By the sound of your group, I'm guessing she's not human."
Jinx? Hm... Michael pondered over the name.
Michael payed no particular attention to Beatrice and Edward's conversation. He listened to Beatrice's voice, not the words she was saying.
Michael nodded once. "That's fine with me."
Michael waited for Edward's answer, not wanting to do anything that would upset him.
Michael nodded slightly. "There's only a few hours left of moonlight."
Young, innocent, and shy. Michael cracked a smile. "Thank you, Edward."
Michael noted how Beatrice's smile made her whole face light up. She's like Seline in that way.
Michael shrugged. "Edward, is it? If you are so protective of her, then I'll keep my actions within your bounds if you allow me to see her." He paused. "I know what it's like to love someone you're 'not supposed to.'"
"I was just admiring your control." Michael explained. "It's no surprise, really." He spoke to Edward. "I've met beings that can do a lot more than just read thoughts. They manipulate memories or even take them away or create new ones."
Michael watched Beatrice with curiosity. She seems to have a fair amount of control. It's hard to believe she's a newborn.
Michael sighed and shook his head. "No one intends for it happen. At least, most people don't." He smiled at Beatrice.
"A group?" Michael's eyes widened. "A group of vampires and werewolves? Things have changed..."
Michael gently set Beatrice on her feet. "Fragile indeed." He agreed, holding back a chuckle when Beatrice scampered over to Edward. "A newborn and yet she has not touched a human? You must take very good care of her." He looked at Beatrice. "I'm sorry for the scare."
"Beatrice?" Michael looked down at the pale blond in his arms. "What a name. A beautiful name." He rested his hand on her cheek. "Beatrice, wake up."
Michael locked eyes with Edward. "Am I not allowed to meet her? Or know her name? There have been no lycans for the past two hundred-fifty years. It's been a very lonely world for me. At least let me see her if she does survive tonight."
"It's easy after the first hundred-fifty years." Michael laughed. "My first full moon was the worst. But I don't need the moon to phase anymore. As long as I feed enough, I'm fine." He paused. "You know someone like me? Are they alive? As far as I know, I'm the only one that's survived my first full moon."
Michael sighed. "I would, but she took quite a scare, and it sounds as if you don't want me to stay around. I don't mind that," He added quickly. "After all, not many people want a lycan near them at all."
Michael sighed. "Seems no one knows of him these days. He's a very good hider." He looked up at Edward. "May I ask what her name is?" He nodded towards Beatrice, his hold on her protective.
Michael sighed. "His name is Marcus." He wiped his hand on his pants and then brushed the hair out of Beatrice's face.
