Some of his anger came through in his voice though, in the first statement and the next one he spoke. "Smith can't be trusted at all. As soon as he gets what he wants, he'll kill Namine anyway! We are not playing along with this whole exchange thing!"

"Kairi could die!" Sora exlaimed, his voice rising slightly at Roxas' statement. "What's to stop Smith from keeping Namine and taking Kairi? We can't trust that he'll actually give Namine back to you, Roxas!"

"I understand clearly, Roxas." Sora returned Roxas' defense with one of his own, his gaze not leaving the blonde. "I know how evil Smith is, and I'm not willing to put Kairi in the line of fire. It's too risky to let her close to this."

Sora furrowed his brows at Roxas' answer, the brunette not liking that response. How could he possibly ask him to let her go like that? "No," Sora said simply, shaking his head. "No, I'm not letting Kairi get in danger like that."
It's strange that I do feel a little bit upbeat right now, considering what's going on in the RP. It is so intense.
Sora arched a brow, both surprised and appalled that Roxas would ask such a thing. "You're seriously asking me to let her go like that?" Sora questioned, his tone defensive as he looked at Roxas with piercing blue eyes.
Eh, it's okay. It's just one day of the year, you know? It's not a big deal now. =D
"It's too dangerous," Sora stated simply, looking from Kairi to Roxas. Surely Roxas would understand that much...right?

Sora's eyes widened at that statement, and then his eyebrows furrowed over his piercing blue orbs. "We're not letting Kairi get into any kind of exchange," Sora said bluntly. No, he would never let her get that close to danger. Ever. It was his duty to protect her, and if she was in a situation like that, he wouldn't be able to. An exchange was not an option. End of story.

6th and Washington, that's only two blocks away from the warehouse, Sora thought. But not all of that made sense, and he had a feeling Roxas had left out some detail. "Wait a sec," Sora spoke as soon as Roxas was done, raising one hand. "What do you mean "trade off"?"
