"Where are you guys right now?" Sora asked into the phone, sitting himself down on the bed as he slipped on one of his shoes. His voice was unreadable, the teen trying to hide the hurt and betrayal he felt inside. At that moment, he knew he couldn't afford to get wrapped up in emotions; he had to help...somehow.

Sora entered his bedroom, walking a few steps before approaching his nightstand. He picked up his cell phone and flipped it open, speed dialling Roxas' number without thought. While holding it up to his ear, he walked to his closet, quickly opening it and pulling out his sneakers. He knew what he had to do, but first, he had to get an "okay" from Roxas.

Sora rembered back to something Roxas had said the other night, something about a rescue. Could that possibly work out? Soon, Smith was going to be preoccupied with the "exchange", that left Namine alone..right? Smith obviously wasn't going to keep his word, Namine was not going to be a part of any exchange. Which meant that she would be by herself at the warehouse. Perhaps he could get in there, take away Smith's advantage, and stop the exchange before it even happend. The brunette finished thinking everything through, knowing it was the only option he had now. He turned to exit the guest bedroom, heading toward his room to get his cell phone.

OOC: That's what I was going for. ;D

Sora stopped pacing, suddenly realizing something much more serious than his own emotions; Kairi's safety. She was with Roxas now, walking into the hands of Smith. Stupid, evil, cunning Smith... Sora's eyes widened at the thought. Maybe he couldn't stop Kairi from going to the exchange, but wasn't there something he could do? Now that Kairi was involved, he was going to work as well. He couldn't go to the exchange; he recognized that. But, what if he could help Namine somehow...?

Sora paced the room, keeping one hand on the side of his face as he thought things over. Kairi had directly gone against him, decieving him into letting her sleep in her own room so she could easily get out and meet with Roxas. It all made sense now--perfect sense. And it killed him to know the truth: he had been lied to by the one person he trusted to always tell him the truth. It was absolutely the most miserable feeling in the world.

Sora let out a sound of disgust, lifting a hand and running it through his spiky hair. "No, no this can't be happening," Sora said aloud, his voice quiet as he looked out the window, his eyes darting for any sign of Kairi. He wasn't worried about her safety at this point, since now he recognized what had happend. She had left with Roxas for the exchange. Sora felt sorrow enter his heart as he started to pace the room, feeling hurt at Kairi's betrayal. She had said she understood that this was too dangerous, and yet she went anyway, working behind Sora's back. He had never felt so betrayed before in his whole life.

OOC: Do you mind if we do a small time gap? If you do, I'll change my post.

Sora slept for a little while longer until he woke up, feeling slightly dazed. He immediatly knew that something was wrong; there wasn't an impending threat on him or anyone in the house, but something definitly wasn't right. Kairi, Sora automatically thought of her name, swinging his legs off the edge of the bed and rising to his feet, quickly exiting his room and going into the hall. He took a few steps before he stopped in front of the guest bedroom, silently pulling the door open. He immediatly noticed moonlight pouring in through the open window. Wait, open window...? "No," Sora whispered, his eyes wide as he rushed over to the window and looked outside, though there was nothing out there. He was alone.

Namine sniffled once, her breath shaky as she cried. The tears streamed down her face at a rapid pace, running over the paths that her previous tears had taken earlier that night--or was it morning? It didn't matter to Namine anymore, the girl too broken to really care what happened to her at that moment.

Smith nodded slightly, not removing his gaze from Namine. "Yes, I thought so," the man spoke more quietly, his voice calm as he spoke the words he considered to be truth. No, there is no truth in anything anymore, Smith thought to himself. The truth is whatever I make it to be. He looked into Namine's eyes, seeing sorrow. "A girl like you needs unconditional love--somebody that will love you despite all the trouble and pain you cause them. A Nobody such as Roxas, who only has part of a heart, cannot love you in that way. And truth be told, you yourself cannot give love in that way either. Your love is only temporary, and it will never be what you consider to be true love."

Smith's form turned blurry as Namine lowered her gaze to the floor, tears pouring out of her eyes as she ignored Smith's gaze. If I can't love Roxas fully, then what's the point in any of this? Namine wondered, misery in her heart. Roxas meant everything to her, but if she couldn't truely love him, then what? Everything she knew depended upon that love, and if that wasn't as firm as she thought it was, then the rest of her life would collapse; it was as simple as that.

"Leave me alone," Namine murmered from behind the tape, her words coming out in a way that was impossible to understand. She kept her fear filled eyes on Smith, tears in the rims of her light blue orbs.

"How can anybody love a girl so helpless?" Smith pressed, bringing his hand off Namine's cheek and speaking to her plainly. "You know I speak the truth, for you've thought about this as well. I've been watching you, you see. Hiding in the shadows, watching your every move to find out what'll make you break." He paused for a moment, holding her gaze. "You are falling apart now, aren't you?"

Namine bit down on her lip harder, her eyes quivering as more tears entered her eyes. One escaped, and then a few others followed close behind. She was breaking under Smith's words, the girl unable to stop herself from taking them to heart and believing them. It's all true, she thought miserably. I'm so helpless all the time, and Roxas always has to protect me from everything. How can he possibly love me?! Namine chocked back a sob, a faint, muffled noise leaving her lips as her tears came more heavily.

"If your boyfriend thought you were worth rescueing," Smith started, his smug attitude coming through in his voice. "He would have come by now. You may be a cute little girl, but now you apparently have no worth. At least not in Roxas' eyes, anyway."

Namine bit her lip, tears coming in behind her closed eyelids. She knew that Roxas cared for her deeply, and she was sure he was doing everything he could to rescue her but...but where was he? It had been hours since she was taken. What if something was wrong? Or maybe...maybe he had given up on her.

Smith chuckled at Namine's expression the man reaching one hand forward and lightly turning Namine's head toward him. He saw the girl's light blue eyes flicker open, and he gazed into them as he continued speaking. "Roxas may be a good guy, and he probably will try to help you, simply because he has made promises to protect you. But do you think he will really act out of love anymore? No, his love for you fades everytime you are in danger. He doesn't like having a girlfriend who always gets herself in trouble. You're just a burden to him now; you know that, don't you?"

"What's the matter, girl?" Smith questioned, staying at eye level with Namine. "Upset that your Nobody hasn't come to rescue you yet?" The man chuckled darkly, enjoying the look of fear in Namine's eyes. "Soon, the princess will be delivered into my hands, and I'll be victorious. But really, I've already won. Revenge is quite pleasureful, my dear."

Namine turned her head away, closing her eyes tightly at the man's dark words. No, he can't win! Namine thought desperately, tears threatening to reappear behind her closed eyes. If he got Kairi, then her best friend was going to be taken away forever. And it was all Namine's fault!

After staying awake for about another half hour, Sora had fallen into a light state of sleep, the teen lying alone in his bedroom. If any loud sounds would have come from anywhere in the house, he would have been aware enough to notice it. He had no intention of letting anything bad happen to Kairi during the night, and even if he was asleep, he was going to be aware enough to keep that promise so that if anything was going on, he would wake up quickly enough to help.

After Smith had first spoken to her, Namine had closed her eyes and started to cry. But then when she looked up a few moments later, she realized she was alone once again. But then...over the past few hours, she hadn't been alone. No, not at all. Smith had returned, and he had sat himself down in a chair only a few feet away from her, staring at her most of the time or glaring at the door. Everytime the blonde girl moved or made any sound, Smith always got out of his seat and walked over to her, either giving her a rough kick or a slap on the face. It was the same thing now, as she started to doze off again. Her eyes were shut, and her head started to droop slightly when BAM! she was smacked in the face. She opened her eyes immediatly, seeing Smith kneeling in front of her with anger and evil intention burning in his yellow eyes.
