Namine kept her eyes on Roxas, tears starting to fill them to the rims. He wasn't responding, and Namine felt a great sense of hopelessness. She wanted to release her tears, but she felt as if she needed to be strong for herself and for Roxas. The girl turned to look at Kairi, lifting her head slightly to look at her friend. Sora brought up his blade and slashed at Smith, but the man jumped backwards to avoid the blow. The Keyblade only swung through air, and while Sora was preparing to bring the weapon back to his side, he saw Smith approaching him with his weapon raised. Sora's eyes widened as he jumped to the side, avoiding the gunblade by a small margin.
Lead Me To The Cross- Seventh Day Slumber
Namine knelt down beside his form, shaking slightly in fear and worry. "Roxas?" she whispered tearfully, her wide eyes staying on the blonde boy. No, this can't be happening...it can't be... Smith stared at the teens, his eyebrows staying furrowed. He lifted his gunblade and pointed it at Sora, firing off three bullets. Sora's eyes widened in surprise and he instinctively summoned his Keyblade, the weapon appearing just in time for him to deflect all three bullets. He growled softly in anger, seeing a satisfied expression on Smith's face. Staying here on the defensive while protecting the girls was not a smart idea, so the only option Sora saw was to fight for a while and give Roxas enough time to recover from his battle. "Stay here," he told his friends softly, looking over his shoulder before charging into the room to fight in Roxas' place.
Namine's eyes widened when she saw Roxas fly through the doorway, her heart rate picking up in fear. "Roxas!" she cried without thought, bringing herself off the wall and moving toward him. Was he alright...? Sora's eyes widened at the sight, and out of the corner of his eye, he saw Namine rush over to her boyfriend. He went over as well, wanting to check on his friend but also see where Smith was. The brunette looked down at Roxas for a brief moment before standing in front of his friend protectly. Smith was standing right in his line of sight, and Sora furrowed his eyebrows in anger. He clenched his hand in a fist, glaring at the man who simply stood there and returned his stare, despite the fact that he had hurt Roxas.
Smith moved forward as he swung the blade, seeing that Roxas was very unprepared for another attack. He hit Roxas' torso with all his might, the hefty blade proving just how powerful it was in capable hands.
Smith grit his teeth together as he pushed down hard on Roxas' Keyblades, his strength greater than Roxas'. Once the boy was off of him, he swung his gunblade horizontally toward the boy with all his might, seeing an oppurtunity to get in a very strong attack.
Smith grunted when he felt both of Roxas' blades pressing against him, and he returned the pressure onto Roxas, adrenaline rushing through his viens. Though Roxas did have a small advantage, he was still going to make this fight as difficult for the teen as possible. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed the doorway, but he didn't really pay attention to that.
Smith opened his eyes, feeling Roxas' putting more pressure on him. Of course, Smith wasn't giving in that easily. He pressed back with his own weapon, starting to get the weight off of him.
Smith grunted when he felt Roxas press down harder on him, making it impossible for him to withdraw his weapon. If he made a move to get Roxas off of him, he would have only been hit by Oathkeeper with more force. The man shut his eyes tightly when he felt the blade impact his chest, a soft cry leaving his lips.
Smith saw Roxas' other weapon coming down on him, and he raised his gunblade. After a very brief moment, he heard their weapons collide, with Roxas' Keyblade pressing down on his blade.
Smith's eyes widened slightly at Roxas' quick retaliation, the man making a move to pull back his gunblade. But it wasn't fast enough. He grunted softly when he felt Oathkeeper hit him hard, and it impacted a wound he had recieved earlier.
Smith saw that Roxas wasn't using that arm, and he felt glad that he had done some heavy damage early in the battle. He was going to do a similar attack, but he now saw that Roxas had raised Oathkeeper to defend himself. Smith swung at Roxas once again, moving horizontally this time instead of landing a vertical blow.
Smith furrowed his eyebrows as he pulled back his weapon, preparing to strike again. He wasn't going to give Roxas a break, not when so much was at stake. A soft gasp left Namine's lips when she heard the cry, the girl opening her eyes and looking to the door. That came from Roxas...she knew it. Sora was surprised when he heard Roxas' cry, and he instinctively wanted to run in and assist his friend. But he knew his place; he had to stay with the girls.
Smith quickly brought down his weapon, focusing his strength on that heavy movement.
"Hmph." Smith glared at Roxas, his bright orange-yellow eyes staring into piercing blue. He suddenly charged forward, lifting his blade to strike. Roxas surely wasn't prepared for such a move, and Smith was going to get a victory by any means possible. Maybe he could still finish things here, completely his revenge and getting the princess. But for now, he focused on the battle, knowing that if he lost focus, the battle would have turned to defeat for him.
Smith felt Roxas pushing harder on his blade, but Smith pushed back harder, using his extra height and weight as an advantage. Namine furrowed her eyebrows slightly, hearing more noise coming from the room. She was so worried, and she felt as if she wanted to cry. But she knew that now wasn't the time or place to release those tears.
Namine's eyes shut when she heard the battle cry, the girl uncomfortable with the fact that Roxas was fighting Smith. Though she had faith that Roxas was strong enough to come out victorious, she was still worried about him. Sora turned himself toward the door slightly, hearing the noises coming from there. He knew that the battle had started, and he just hoped that Roxas wouldn't be injured. When Sora had fought Smith earlier, it had been a very difficult battle, and in the end, neither of them had been able to defeat the other. That was when Smith had disapeared and made a surprise visit to his three friends. Smith saw Roxas' other Keyblade coming at him, but unfortunately, there was nothing he could have done to deflect it. He fell back slightly, a cry leaving him when the tip of Roxas' blade cut through him. Despite that wound, he kept his blade against Roxas'.
Sora winced faintly when he touched too close to the wound, a stinging sensation running through him. At that point, he decided to leave it alone and worry about it some other time. He lowered his hand to his side, clenching it in a light fist. Smith noticed that Roxas was waiting until the last minute to raise his weapons, and he saw that as a bold move alone. Once they were close enough, he swung his weapon with all his might, bringing it down on Roxas.
Smith gripped his blade more tightly as he shifted positions, setting his footing before he charged forward. Though he wasn't as fast as Roxas, he had more strength. That was definitly going to work to his advantage. Sora exhaled a heavy breath, though it came out silently. He brought up his right hand, gently inspecting the wound that he had recieved from Smith.
Sora stopped in the middle of the hall, between Kairi and Namine. He knew that if anything happened, he was responsible to protect the girls. So for that reason, he stayed an equal distance from both girls. But now, he had a distraction: his left shoulder. He shifted his gaze down to it, seeing some blood starting to flow from the gunshot wound. Smith's lips curled up slightly, a smirk appearing on his lips as well. "You first."
