Namine sat herself up completely, scanning the room. It was completely barren except for the ropes and tape that sat in the corner by the pole. There were no windows, so that meant she couldn't escape even though she was free. But, the door...was it locked? The question went unanswered when she saw another figure walk in, and she immediatly recognized the strong, tall, dark man. Smith. And he was glaring directly at her, staring daggers. Her eyes widened as she backed herself up slightly, seeing him coming toward her.

Smith approached the girl, his left hand clenched into a fist as he glared at her. Now that the other matter was settled, it was time for him to finish what he started. He wasn't going to kill her; he had too much to take out on her still. He came up to her and reached down, grabbing her by the arm and forcefully pulling her to her feet.

Namine cried out in surprise, Smith's grip on her arm very tight as she felt herself being pulled up. Her soft blue eyes held fear as her eyes locked with his, and she couldn't tear herself away from their evil, orange depths.

Smith held onto her tightly despite the fact that she was supporting herself now, keeping his right hand on her arm. He brought up his left hand and gently tapped her cheek several times before releasing some more strength, his light taps turning into small slaps and then escalating into one, loud, painful slap. The girl in front of him cried out again, but he ignored it, gripping her more roughly as he glared at her. He hated her so much; this girl wouldn't break as easily as he expected. But he wouldn't give up until he had accomplished that.

Namine bit her lip lightly, starting to prop herself up as she watched Smith exit the room with her other friend. No, Sora. He couldn't be-- Namine let the thought trail off, not wanting to finish it. But reality sunk in anyway, despite that fact. She felt a few tears her eyes as she heard the door slam behind the evil man, the girl alone again. That wouldn't last for long; she was sure of that. Smith said she was pay, and she believed him. He was truely going to make her suffer. But she didn't regret her actions; not yet. If she had seen Sora get hurt even worse for her...she couldn't have handled it.

Smith glared at Namine for a moment, tightening his grip on his weapon. So, the girl still had some guts. He had to give her credit, it was hard to completely break her down. But he wasn't done yet... He stood still for a moment, considering his actions. "Why should I stop for you?" he asked her in a dark tone, not removing his stare off of her.

Namine felt some of her bravery slip away, but she answered the question anyway. "Haven't you done enough already?" she said through grit teeth, holding back anger as well as a desire to voice her fear. "You got me involved in this; me, not Sora. Leave him alone."

Smith was surprised at Namine's response, and it only proved his early thoughts; he hadn't done enough to hurt her. But she did have a point, he should be taking his anger out on her, not on Sora. "Only for you," he responded, desummoning his blade. "Only for you, my precious little witch."

Namine was surprised at his response. No; surprised was an understatement. She was shocked. But she was even more shocked when Smith brought his right hand up, smacking her hard on the side of the face. She gasped and fell to the ground, the girl letting her tear filled eyes wander up to the man as her eyebrows furrowed in pain and fright.

"I won't hurt him, but I'm not leaving him either." Smith stated with a smug smirk, taking a few steps around Namine and bending down to pick up the brunette whom he had killed. He didn't want a dead body in the room, so disposing of it would work just fine. "But know this," Smith continued, throwing Sora over one shoulder as he looked over at the girl. "You're going to be the one who pays for going against me."

Namine opened her eyes after a moment, noticing that the embrace around her had loosened slightly. But, did that mean...? Namine didn't have time to finish the thought. The boy holding onto her was pulled away by something, and Namine opened her eyes just in time to see Smith roughly holding the boy's shoulders.

Smith glared down at the boy, whose limp body showed that the gas had done the job; that wretched Keyblade weilder was dead now. Finally. Still, he had a lot of anger toward the kid, so he suddenly through the body, the teen sliding across the floor slightly. Then he started over toward him, summoning his dark blade into his right hand. There was no harm in getting in one stab, or several, just to take out his anger.

Namine's eyes widened when she saw Smith's actions, and she forced herself to her feet, rushing over to Sora's still body on her shaky legs, the girl not too balanced because of how long she had been sitting tied up. She stood in front of Sora protectively, holding out her arms as she shouted at Smith. "Stop!" she cried, fear in her eyes as she glared at the man. She was surprised when he actually did listen, stopping about two feet in front of her. "Don't hurt him!" she said desperately, feeling a little braver when she knew that the man was listening to her words. She didn't want to see Sora get hurt, even if he was...

...Sora couldn't let Smith have that advantage. He had to call for help...now. He couldn't reach for his cell phone since he had to keep Namine close to him, so he used the only form of communication he could think of: his heart. "I'm sorry...I-I failed," Sora called out weakly, the gas starting to take its toll on him. He heard the hissing stop as he released one last breath, fading away from conciousness.

Namine kept her eyes shut tightly despite the fact that the hissing noise started to fade away, and she knew that the danger had disapeared. At least for a few short moments, anyway. She now recognized that gas was meant to kill both of them, but...Sora...

Namine nodded faintly, that being the only sign she could use to let Sora know that she had heard him. She tried her best to follow that order, the blonde controlling her nervous breathing the best she could. She tightly shut her eyes, the hissing noise continuing to echo in the room around her.

Sora held Namine closely, his head on top of hers as he tried to not intake too much of the contaminated air. Still though, he was clearly exposed to it, and even now he could feel it getting to him. Whatever it was, this gas worked very fast and very hard. He suddenly felt chills, taking in another fact: once the gas took care of him, Namine would have been left alone again. And Smith probably wouldn't restrain himself, seeing that Roxas had somehow worked against him...

Sora nodded once more, staying silent and listening for any noise. Namine's words were reassuring, but he knew that he couldn't take chances here. After a few moments of hearing nothing, he reached out a hand to Namine. "Let's get out of here," he said softly, his gentle blue eyes staying connected with hers.

Namine reached forward with one hand, lightly setting it in Sora's hand as she held his gaze. Gosh, she was so glad to be getting out of this place. She never wanted to be in a situation like this again, and now she was more worried for Roxas than herself...

Sora saw a faint streak of light enter the room out of the corner of his eye, and then the sound of a small object rolling on the ground. He turned around partway, his eyes widening when the door shut and a small canister laid on the ground. And then a hissing noise entered his ear, and he knew that it was a gas canister. Without thought, he brought both arms forward and wrapped Namine tightly in his arms, keeping her head closest to his chest.

Namine's eyes widened at the hissing noise alone, and her pale blue orbs grew even more wide when Sora suddenly brought her close. What? What's going on?!

They weren't alone, and Sora now recognized that he had been set up. Now, that invisible gas that poured into the room...it was meant to kill them both. Why not get two kills for the price of one, right? Smith had expected this, just as Roxas had suspected. Sora couldn't save himself now, and he understood that clearly, despite the suddenness of what was going on. But if he kept Namine close to his chest so she had enough fresh air, he could keep his commitment to Roxas and save the girl. "Don't breathe deeply!" he cried, pulling Namine in closer to him as he squeezed his eyes shut.

Once Sora finished cutting the ropes that bound her hands, Namine immediatly brought a hand to her face and started to tear off the tape while Sora worked on cutting the rope around her legs. "What're you doing here?" she whispered, surprise apparant in her voice and facial expression. "Where's Roxas? Is he hurt?" The questions left in such a hurry that Namine had to force herself to be quiet by biting her tongue.

"He's fine," Sora said shortly, at that moment cutting through the ropes and pulling them away from Namine. "He sent me to save you, since he's busy with distracting him," Sora didn't say the name of the man, knowing that Namine understood who he was referring to. His eyes widened for a moment, he locked eyes with her again. "We are alone, right?"

Namine nodded faintly once again, hearing concern in Sora's voice. "He left a little while ago," Namine said quietly. Smith had left when she was crying, so she didn't specifically know when he had left...or when he was coming back. She feared he would come back soon, but if Sora said Roxas was distracting someone, it was obviously Smith. So that meant that they were by themselves for now...right?

Sora unsummoned his Keyblade, hurrying over to the blonde girl. Gosh, she looked so broken... "You okay?" he whispered, kneeling down in front of her and scanning her features to be sure she wasn't seriously injured.

Not really, Namine thought to herself. But she saw Sora looking over her, and she knew that he was referring to physical injury. Though in that way, she wasn't really okay either, since Smith had hit and kicked her several times throughout the night. But she nodded anyway, seeing Sora's ocean blue eyes on her.

Sora nodded faintly before his eyes wandered over to the corner, and he noticed a single knife. He figured that Smith must have kept it there in case there would have been an emergency, where he needed to get Namine free quickly. But now, Sora was going to use it to his advantage. He reached past Namine and grabbed the knife, holding it securely in his right hand before moving to the side. Though the rope around Namine's wrists were tight, the brunette saw a spot where he could cut through, so he started to gently saw through the material. While doing so, his eyes wandered around the room once more, and he saw that they truely were alone.

Namine exhaled softly through her nose, her gaze down as Sora cut the rope that bound her hands. She was very uncomfortable, and though a thousand questions nagged her, she had no choice but to be patient and wait to have at least a few of them answered.

Sora headed down another empty hall, this one having multiple doors along both walls. He approached the closest door on the right and put an ear against it, only hearing silence. Still though, that was no guarentee that the room was unoccupied. He reached for the doorknob and found that it was locked. That gave him a feeling something was up, and he had good feeling in his gut now. He took a step back and unlocked the door using the Keyblade, a soft clicking noise entering his ears. Once more, he scanned the area surrounding him to be sure that nobody was nearby. There was nothing new about this area, so Sora cautiously opened the door, peeking inside it. Though it wasn't open more than a crack, he could see the entire room. It was empty except for one girl. "Namine!" he whispered her name as he opened the door and entered the room, letting the door fall shut behind him as he approached the girl.

Namine opened her eyes at the sound of her name, her eyes immediatly finding that she was no longer alone. But, wait a minute...this wasn't making any sense. Why was Sora here, and not Roxas? Though she was greatly confused about the matter, a sense of relief overcame that feeling as she watched Sora approach her. It looked as if he were going to get her out, and Namine couldn't have been more thankful for that. Though Smith had left her alone for a little while now, the situation was still miserable. All of the emotions inside her were at the surface of her heart--sadness, fright, pain, discomfort, and brokenness.

Sora quietly entered the hall, shutting the door behind him. He scanned the area once more, though everything was as he recalled--completely empty. He walked up the hall quickly, tightening his grip on his weapon as he approached the next door. Once he was beside the door, he stopped, putting one hand on the knob and opening the door partway. Again, there was nothing. Sora slipped in through the open door before shutting it behind him, walking down the hall carefully. So far so good; there was no sign of Smith. But where was Namine?

Sora hurriedly approached the door he had entered weeks ago, the teen seeing no sign of danger yet. He scanned the area one last time before approaching the door, standing in front of it. He reached forward with one hand, silently putting his hand on the knob and turning the knob. This time, however, it was locked. Sora wasn't too surprised at this; Smith must have been working alone this time, and that would have explained why he was having Roxas do some of the work for him by bringing Kairi to him. Sora exhaled heavily, just thinking about how manipulative this man was getting him angered. He chased away that emotion as he took one step back, holding up his Keyblade and pointing it at the door. A small light came out of the blade and streaked toward the doorknob, a soft clicking sound coming from the door. Sora nervously took a step forward and cautiously opened the door. He was relieved to see that the first hall was empty.
