Sora turned his head forward again, paying attention to the walkway. A few steps later, he and Kairi were in the store. It wasn't too large, and there must have only been about five other customers inside. Well, he thought, maybe the rush was already here.

Namine looked forward again, but her gaze started to wander again once they were in the store. "Wow," she breathed, eyes catching onto some beautiful bracelets. She automatically took a few steps toward the section, fingering one of the pieces of jewelry.

Sora looked down at his and Kairi's hands, a small smile forming at the sight. He couldn't help but notice that she was happy today, and that was something he absolutely loved to see.

Namine smiled more widely and turned her head slightly to look at Roxas. "Yeah," she said. She hadn't noticed him look at her a moment ago, which made her quite curious to why he was already smiling as if he knew. Oh well, maybe she was just really easy to read.

Sora got off the stairs first, Kairi only a beat behind him. He knew this not only because he was holding her hand, but also because he saw her out of the corner of his eye. And as long as he had a say in it, he would always be able to see her somehow. He wasn't nervous about anything happening at the mall, but he also wasn't going to drop his guard because of that. It was just how he lived his life.

Namine came up off the stairs a few moments after Sora and Kairi did. Her eyes immediately wandered over to the Old Navy, and then to the store right next to it. Her light blue orbs sparkled; there was the store.

Namine instinctively turned her head back slightly when she felt a hand on her lower back. She smiled when she caught onto Roxas's facial expression--he was always looking out for her, guiding her in the most subtle ways. Of course, he knew she didn't always need a guiding hand; she was perfectly capable of conquering any obstacle that appeared in her way. But she still appreciated the gentle gestures he provided along the way, it made her life easier. She turned her head forward again, staying with the group as they headed for the stairs.

Sora's smile faded a little bit as he focused on the stairs, still holding onto Kairi's hand as they headed there. And then, once they were there, he casually stepped in front of the other couple. After all, the staircase was only so wide.

Namine brought up a hand and twirled her long blond hair, thinking. "...I think so," she said slowly. Suddenly, she perked up. "Oh! It's right by the Old Navy!" She was glad she remembered--now she was excited to go look at the jewelery. And since Old Navy was near where they were, that made things even sweeter.

Sora turned his head to the side slightly, seeing that they were approaching the stairs. Well, that was good timing, he mused, a smile forming on his face.

Namine met Roxas's gaze and smiled when her eyes met his. Gosh, she loved his eyes. She could never get tired of gazing into them. But, fearing things would be awkward if they kept staring at each other, she turned forward again. After all, it would have been extremely embarrassing to walk into someone else--or something else, like the booths in the middle of the walkway.

Sora looked over at Kairi for a moment, seeing her fingering the necklace he got her. A smile appeared on his lips, and without thought, he reached down and grabbed her free hand, which was closest to him. Then he turned forward again, a question coming to mind. "Do you guys know where the store is?"

Namine shrugged slightly. "Maybe a new necklace or something," she said, turning her head to Roxas. "My favorite jewelry store just opened up here, and they're probably going to have some kind of sale."

Sora snapped out of his daze as soon as Roxas started speaking and listening in to the conversation. He wished he had more money to spend on Kairi, but because of his lack of job, that wasn't happening. But no matter what, he knew it was okay with Kairi--their love didn't run on gifts or money. No, it was much deeper than that.

Sora calmly looked at the path in front of him, not really paying attention to what he was looking at. In fact, he was keeping an eye on Kairi out of the corner of his eye. Normally, he was very protective. And, of course, he was feeling that way today. But he was keeping an eye on her for another reason as well: he loved her, and he loved seeing how beautiful she was. It was something he would never get tired of.

Namine exhaled softly, her eyes wandering around the mall. Even though she hardly ever bought anything, she loved going to the mall. It was fun to hang out with her friends there, especially because they had one big thing in common--they hardly had any spending money. That made things so relaxed, since they didn't really come for any purpose except to hang out and, on a good day, buy something small.
