If they want a non-battle world then make it dancing instead of singing. Granted singing shows are better than dancing shows it's more fun to play a dancing character in a video game than a singing character. Besides it'd make for some great gifs.

My vote goes to Maka. I could feel the tension her character had and the anger he was portraying was very effective, especially if someone was blaming them for an accident when they're worrying about someone.
