Detention: Detention, staying after school not doing anything is supposed to be a form of punishment. You did something bad, and they want to make sure you don't repeat the same mistake. For some students, the more rowdier ones, won't care as like you said, but that doesn't mean what they're doing is right, is it? The reason they repetitively receive this penalty is because of an error they made. If they were doing everything right, like they should, they wouldn't have received it in the first place. If the teachers are giving you detention immediately, say, every single time you talk in class, that would be wrong. Having a sort of strike system would be appropriate, however. The first two times, they'll just scold you, and then the third time, they send you to detention. The student should learn from their mistake and, not wanting to be punished again, won't cause any more problems and thus, will no longer need any castigation. So basically, I see nothing wrong with detention, unless it is given out without a fair warning or two the first few times. However, it depends on how bad the error was. Say a student had got into a fight with someone else - that, I believe, would deserve a detention immediately, in my opinion, so truly, dealing out the detention should be based on fair, justified standards. Health: Seeing as how often, other activities are usually enjoyable, detention is a punishment that takes you away from fun. If you didn't do something wrong and thus get sent to detention, you could be free to do as you please. As for therapy, I'm sure if it's that vital, say, life-threatening, the teacher would let it go, but apparently it isn't as important, which is why they do not. Sure, lounging about after school may not be healthy, but who says that when you get back home, you can't do something athletic? Like run outside in the backyard, instead of sitting at home and watching TV or something. Although I have to admit this isn't the best way to be exercising or anything, just be sure not to make the same mistake, and you won't receive detention, which isn't exactly given out just because you were doing nothing wrong. Homework: Hmm...well often, in my family, you finish your homework first, and then play. So speed right through it (doing a good job though, if you can't, take your time) and then you can have as much fun as you want. I despire homework, but I always tell myself this: If I finish it all, I can do anything enjoyable I want. So do work first, playtime later. If there's no time, then well, often, like my mom always tells me, there's always the weekends. 5 days of work and 2 days of relaxation are always enough. Well, I'd prefer 3 days of relaxation, but hey, parents are always right. XD Anyhow, what I'm saying is, finish all your homework on Friday, then on Saturday and Sunday, you can have fun. It should be more than enough. If you're having trouble finishing homework per day fast enough, often, you need to try to find a pattern to hurry and do a great job, yet get enough sleep. Such as sleeping early, but waking up early ("the early bird gets the worm" as the phrase goes!), maybe eating breakfast while doing it (making sure the breakfast is full of nutrients and egg, which is healthy for the brain). Just doing whatever you can and by finding the right method, I'm sure you'll find enough leisure time, and enough time to finish your other obligations. Stress: Hm...well, you say that these tests, they make you study forever and you fail in the end, but that can't be true, or absolutely everyone in class would fail. Grades do tell whether you've studied or not (I hate to admit), but like, sometimes, maybe you're studying the wrong thing - I've done that like a gazillion times. I could study, but I'm not memorizing/writing/reading the right passage/formula/etc. Often, I find that the tests are very close to the homework. So do well on the work they give you, and the tests shouldn't be that hard. Basically, keep studying on practically everything and learn the pattern of the things they do want you to study, so you can be sure to get it right and pass with flying colors. As for dealing with it...cutting, I have to admit, is something I've considered, but I never do it because you have to realize it's dangerous and can lead to your death (by accident - it's possible!). To deal with it, take a break. Just lie back, clear your mind. Watch a little TV, write a poem, go on the computer, sing a song, take a bath/shower, whatever's relaxing and does not require any thinking. Almost anything is better than cutting... So basically, what I have to say is that the schools, you have to conform to it, and often, they do have a reason for everything. It's not like the teachers walk around, leering at the students, thinking, "Hahaha, which student am I going to send to detention today? Ah-ha! Someone's being annoying by tapping too loud! Detention!" So truly, there's nothing unfair about it that I can see. Although I wish they could lighten up, the best thing I can do is conform to it, flowing along with the change (especially, as everyone mentions, when you go to highschool...and then college...).
An honorable scene is when...Ansem's gigantic machine exploded with his last heroic words...which were something I forgot..."I'm counting on you"? "You can do it"? Something along those lines? XD
Namine warily took a step forward. "Kairi..." Glancing at Tifa, she halted. "Wait a moment..." Turning to Tifa, she took a deep breath before apologizing, "I'm sorry...I really am...Tifa...I'm sorry..."
Shiva...she's just so pretty, and well, the most human-like one out of them all. XD And it's weird, but I was doing this boss battle, and somehow, she hit harder than Bahamut each time. And I didn't give either of them any additional strength or anything...that was just weird...but a good thing I think? And...the unicorn? Ixion? He's pretty cool...I love the electricity...lol
"I'm fine," Kotone said, stiffly, looking up at him. "Why should you care?"
Wow a movie? This really does sound quite interesting, like showing Alice in Wonderland in a more mature light...although I have a feeling it's going to be one of those movies when creepy things pop out of nowhere...
Glancing at Silax, Kotone looked away. "It doesn't matter...I can't feel any happiness from it..."
Following Cloud, Namine widened her eyes to see Pence, Tifa, and Kairi...standing together. She stood back, her hands clasped together behind herself, uncertain of what to say.
*hides cellphone snapshot of that scene* Yes, completely not honorable. *shifty eyes* lol Oh another moment that isn't honorable is Axel kidnapping Kairi while Olette just stands there, not doing anything to try and help. XD
Who doesn't have a habit when you're bored/irritated/etc.? I don't chew my lower lip, but I do some other pretty weird habits when I'm bored. XD
I prefer the subbed Japanese episodes compared to the English dubbed ones, as often the voice acting isn't done as well and the lines are changed to something worse, but otherwise, if the storyline's good enough, it can oversee the negative aspects.
"...No..." Namine said, shaking her head. "My side of light...it's completely destroy...but even then...it's as if it never bothered me that much...perhaps it's because I'm a Nobody...I'm already partly of darkness...maybe that's why I'm still...still not completely absorbed...yet, at least..." She heaved a sigh. "But now...I need the light...back...and the only person who can give it to me back is...Kairi."
Heya, welcome to kh-vids! :) Basically, listen to the rules, have fun, blah, blah, blah, go play 20 questions with Shadows of Oblivion...just kidding. XD Anyhow, need any help or anything, just pm me. :glomp: Have fun here~!
Kotone walked around the headquarters, just muttering things under breath as she paced the floor.
"Cloud..." Namine said, biting her lower lip, as she gazed up at him. "Are you...how do you feel...with the darkness?"
Wow...that's like a twisted version of Alice in Wonderland...but it sounds intriguing...
Hmm...more like, Sora's retalitating...revenge makes him sound like a villain...or maybe...all along...Sora has been scheming with his best buddy Riku to eradicate all the harmless Nobodies, so he can take over Kingdom Hearts! *evil Larxene-like laughter* XD Just kidding...but seriously, there is a lot of memorable moments...think it'd be easier listing the moments not honorable?
Ooh, very nice...although in part 3, there was so many 'she's running around, I was a bit confused on who was speaking sometimes...but otherwise, it's great. Although if you want to fix the problem, you could say 'the dark-haired girl said' or 'the blonde-haired girl said' (I forgot the hair color so put the right one XD). Otherwise, the story is actually very intriguing, and I can't wait to see what happens next! :)
OOC: Sorry, I'm lost. :sweatdrop:
I totally get why you can hate Sora - he's one of those typical heroes who has some special, magical skill (and weapon) that uses the power of friendship/light to succeed but acts super nice and magnanimous all the while, and etc., etc. But despite all that, he's actually not that bad of a character. I mean, I can dislike him sometimes, but to go as extreme as contempt? Sora's good qualities include being determined, caring, and even though it's very typical of the hero, you do have to admire him for that. You can tell he's very good-hearted, and he would do almost anything to protect his friends. I mean, around the ending of KH (spoiler alert if you have not yet finished it!!), he even removed his own heart to save Kairi! You might think that it's just because he likes her, but I remember that one of the makers of the game said that none of the couples are canon...and if you think about it, Sora never really does say officially he likes Kairi (although it's quite implied in my opinion XD)...so it doesn't matter to him - whether it's because of love or friendship, he would've saved anyone just because he can't stand anyone to be in that condition. And despite that, being strong-hearted (not something a lot of people have, and it's especially unpredictable, coming from a kid), was able to keep his mind when he became a heartless. So, overall, Sora may be a cheesy hero, yes, but he's also a gold-hearted, simple boy who's full of persistence and love. How can you not admire that? As for his apperance, it all depends on your opinion of good lucks. Me, I find it average, nothing to drool over. But I find Zexion totally hot - but others don't. So really, that's just a matter of opinion there. XD
