Namine sighed, shutting her eyes. Going through this wasn't easy on her--in fact, it was pretty tiring. And if it weren't for the storm outside scaring her, she might have considered a nap. But she knew that she was too tense to actually sleep. So she stayed at her place in front of the fire.
=) A little while ago, I found this awesome site (through a friend). It makes me laugh and smile all the time. You should check it out. ;D...
Namine gasped at a bright lightning bolt. She turned her head to the window, but no thunder followed. And then she realized something she had hypothesized before--her mind was randomly flickering back and forth between the past and present. There was no lightning bolt within the past minute, the one she had seen was a memory. She wasn't sure if she should have been alarmed or happy that her memories were starting to come back. Actually, she was a bit alarmed. She could hardly tell the difference between the two, and that was a bit scary.
Not a problem. xD
Namine blinked, suddenly releasing her legs with her right arm. She put her right hand on her shoulder, feeling if there was a blanket there. There wasn't. A wave of confusion swept over her. She could have sworn she felt a blanket there, but apparently not. Unless...unless she was recalling something from before. A small smile appeared on her lips, but it immediately disappeared when a loud rumble of thunder disturbed her peace.
Actually, yes. x3 I had the idea that Kairi and Sora could talk and Sora could tell her what happened when he wasn't with the others. This could...
Namine took in a breath and shifted her seating position, bringing up her knees. She wrapped her arms around them and lightly set her chin on her knees, all while keeping her eyes on the fire. The soft cackling...the heat...all of it just reminded her of something. But what?
It's too extreme, I'd say.
Namine opened her eyes slowly, the fire crackling in front of her. Seeing the fire didn't completely absorb her nervousness, but it helped make her feel more at peace again. She folded her hands in her lap, holding them together in an attempt to calm herself down. There's no reason to be afraid, she told herself. It's only a storm...you've been through them before. She didn't tell herself this because of a memory; she just figured that she must have seen a thunder storm before. It was purely logic.
I was gonna say that, but I wasn't sure. xDD Yeah, that's just weird.
Namine exhaled a silent breath, fully sitting now, legs slightly to her side. She blinked a few times when the smoke came into her eyes, but she didn't back away. A rumble of thunder came from outside, making her jump a little bit. She bit down on her lip and shut her eyes, trying to compose herself before she really lost control of her emotions.
Well, hopefully that'll take out the icky orange. xD I have this friend, and she's really blond naturally. And she wants to get blue highlights...
Namine knelt down in front of the fire, about a foot away. Her eyes stayed on the fire despite the fact that they were getting dry. Paying attention to that was much better than paying attention to the terrible storm that raged outside the house and inside her heart. Somehow, all her feelings of sadness pertaining the fire were gone. She felt calm now. She didn't know why or how, but she was glad things felt alright for that moment.
Hopefully it'll work out. =/ I tried getting blond highlights a few years ago (I'm brunette), and it ending up turning my whole head blond. And...
In the end, though, Namine decided now wasn't the right time to say anything. Roxas seemed perfectly content watching the storm, and she wouldn't ruin that for him. Besides, she felt a bit more comfortable watching the fire flickering, every once in a seeing it release sparks. The girl quietly lifted herself from the couch, taking a few steps over toward the fireplace.
Aww, that stinks. =( But at least the dye will probably change in a few days or a week maybe. I know when I dyed my hair too dark, it faded pretty...
Namine brought the mug to her lips again, finishing the hot chocolate. She turned her head slightly and saw an end-table right next to her, so she silently set her cup there before turning back to the fire. There was nothing to say. Or everything. She didn't know where to start, or if she should. She only knew that keeping everything bottled up was driving her insane. Not insane in the crazy sense, but insane as in depressingly so.
What's it look like?
Namine took another sip of her hot chocolate, the warmth comforting her. In a way, she wished that Roxas was beside her. She didn't know why she felt that way; she hardly knew him. But he was being a good friend to her today, and she had been bold enough to give him a hug earlier. That hug...it was constantly coming up in her thoughts. She didn't understand how that sympathetic gesture could still mean so much to her when she had so many other things to think about.
Aww, I'm sure it's not that bad... =( And don't worry about it. I've been practicing guitar and working on my fanfic. xD
