    Not really the place to talk about that. Basically I want to A: fix up grammar/capitalization problems; and B: see if a model can be extracted (done), edited, and re-inserted into the game and it work.

    Meanwhile, can someone please try to send Falo a link to this thread and find out if he could help with getting the encrypted text editable?

    Since the patch is so absurdly large, I'm splitting it into 3 pieces. I have to go but I'll post the links to download them asap and I need someone to verify that it still patches correctly. I don't want to have to resort to uploading the entire iso.

    Sorry for the delay, the program I use to actually make the patch file is being a bit weird right now. The patch file has grown from a few kilobytes to over 400 megabytes and I need to find out if that's right. It doesn't sound right to me but perhaps it is..

    It's not that I've been putting off translating the abilities/command menu, it's just that I simply cannot find them in the ISO with my current/only tool. If they're encrypted they're out of my reach right now.

    Haven't been able to use the computer much the last 2 days, but I finishing up translating the Gummi block names.

    I translated the memory card slot menu options, including a text string to "SELECT A SLOT" when saving/loading, found and roughly translated the party menu AI menu (how often they heal/use abilities, etc.) but ran into a problem where I had to purposely misspell the word "SOME" because of hex constraints (the English version of the game uses the word "Frequently", whereas Final Mix gives me a total of 3 letters to convey that exact same meaning. I've been playing it safe but as I'm meeting constant limitations I'm going to see if the game *HAS* to be the same size; if I can insert more text than the game gives me initially, then I can stop having incomplete/synonym-based translations. I'll post some pics.

    Here's what I've got right now. It's not perfect but it seems like I'm the only one working on this. That guy with the tool that could get encrypted text just disappeared, root doesn't seem to be here any more... A bit depressing, actually.

    Just a quick update here: I'm officially done with (most of) the KH1-specific Gummi Blocks (not their descriptions, since they, like most other things, are probably encrypted and out of my reach [for now?]). Starting on the gummi blueprints soon. I say "most of" the blocks because some of their English names can't fit in the space given by the game.

    I need ideas on how to shorten these without them sounding completely different.

    They both need to be shortened by one letter in order to fit. I'd get rid of the dash but then they'd look like "METEORG" and "ESUNAG" and I'm not sure how people would feel about that.

    So about that....

    I've hit a bit of a snag. I've gone down further than the gummi parts to see if there's anything else that I can translate and I'm finding strings referencing shields. I have no idea what I'm dealing with though, since some of the characters the game is using aren't in the table I've been using to make the translation. I'm completely lost.

    I feel as if I'm the only person who didn't have trouble with the levelling system of the game. I was never underlevelled and I never had to grind for any materials or levels themselves; if anything the most annoying aspect of the game for me was going through the list of Holomissions to try to find those last few that I hadn't had completed 100%. Some of the bosses were a bit cheap and boring, and I think that the limits on magic was a very bad design choice. To that end, at least, it made the game literally the only game where I had to use items. In KH1, Goofy would just feed you magic, KH2 had the recharging bar, CoM/Re:CoM were just cards you could get again and BBS/Re:Coded had individual charging bars. If Days has any consolation it's the least "spammy" of the games.
