Namine nodded slightly. "Sure," she said with a smile. It would feel great to get out of the heat; she hadn't noticed just how hot it had become since they left the pool.

Sora ran a hand over the back of his head, his smile disapearing. "Actually, I gotta get home," he confessed. "I, uh, forgot about something. I gotta take care of it." That wasn't the truth, really. He didn't know why, but he felt like he still wouldn't be the best company after what happened. "You guys have fun though, okay?"

Sora blinked twice in surprise, both at Kairi's spoken words and her apparent knowledge of what he had been thinking of earlier. An awkward/embarrassed chuckle left his lips, his cheeks turning red as he looked to the ground.

Namine felt a small smile appear on her lips when she heard Sora's soft chuckle though she didn't understand why he laughed. She figured that something else was going on here, but she didn't need the details.

Sora looked up at Roxas and Namine, remembering that the two were standing right by him and Kairi. "Wow, it's hot!" he exclaimed, bringing up a hand to fan his reddened face. He realized he was especially warm because of his embarrassment, but it indeed was very hot out.

Sora looked away at the mention of the other two teens. "Yeah," he said softly in agreement. Those two definitely hadn't deserved to get away with what they did. Didn't they know who Kairi was? She was a princess. His princess. He would protect her with his life. And now, knowing that Kairi wasn't upset with the way he acted back at the pool, he felt a lot of the pressure taken off his shoulders. "Thanks, Kai," he said, looking back over at the girl beside him.

Sora shook his head slightly, the teen keeping his head down. He didn't see it that way; the other two jerks were responsible for their actions, and he was responsible for his. When he sensed a soft gaze on him, he looked over at Kairi slightly, his blue orbs connecting with hers.

Sora ran a hand over the back of his hair, the spikes still wet because he hadn't bothered to dry off. "I was a jerk," he said softly, his eyes lowering to the ground. Again, he knew he had a reason to have been upset, but that didn't justify his actions in his mind.

Namine kept her gentle gaze on Sora, sensing his sincerity and guilt. But there was nothing to feel bad about, just like Roxas pointed out. But she felt like it would have been better for Sora to hear it from somebody else, so she stayed silent for a moment.

Sora exhaled silently, feeling much better with Kairi right by his side. And under his arm. He blinked softly one time, knowing there was one more thing he needed to do before he moved on. He slowed his walk and let his arm slide off Kairi's shoulders as he came to a complete stop, turning around to face his other two friends. "Sorry, guys," he said softly, his voice much calmer than it had been at the pool. "I lost my cool." That's putting it lightly, he thought to himself, frowning a little bit.

When Sora had slowed and then stopped, Namine had done the same, still holding onto Roxas with one arm around his back. "It's okay," she said quietly, meaning it. Sora had been upset for a reason, and she understood that.

Sora noticed Kairi's small smile and he forced himself to smile faintly in return, the teen not wanting to appear too serious. It was foolish to try and fool Kairi, but right now, he needed to trick himself into being happy so that they could move on after this. He lifted an arm and wrapped it around Kairi's shoulders, softly bringing her closer to him.

Namine looked down at the ground as she walked, feeling a cool wind go through her damp blond hair. It was a beautiful day out...and the day wasn't near over yet. Hopefully things would improve so that they could all enjoy the rest of the day.

Sora stole a quick glance at Kairi, feeling sadness inpact his heart. His heavy heart was dragging her down too, and he hated that. "Sorry," he said silently, still not aware she heard his previous statement. He was apologizing because he was so serious. He may have had a right to be this way, but it wasn't what was best for Kairi, his friends, or for himself.

Namine looked in front of her, watching the couple walking a little bit on front of them. It looked like they were both upset over this, but neither of them knew the right things to say. She wished she could help her friends, but it wasn't her place to meddle. And anyway, she had no clue what to say, anyway.

In reality, Sora felt ashamed at himself. He shouldn't have lost control back there...if Roxas hadn't intervened, then things could have ended very badly. And now Kairi was here, silently trying to comfort him. It should have been the other way, but he couldn't bring himself to look at her because of his shame. It frustrated him that he couldn't look at the girl he loved at that moment. I don't deserve you, he thought, the words leaving through his heart without him realizing it.

Namine felt her small smile widen at Roxas' gesture. She turned at met his gaze for a moment, her eyes showing that she appreciated everything he had done, both past and present. But then she turned forward again, knowing that with her luck, she would trip over something if she wasn't paying attention.

Sora blinked once in surprise, not expecting the gentle hand on his back. He lowered his head and looked down at the ground, not having the courage to look Kairi in the eye. He figured that she would have been upset over everything, but judging by her soft touch, she was more concerned about him. It didn't make sense to him, but that was the impression he got.

Namine smiled softly and wrapped an arm around Roxas' lower back, the girl lightly leaning into his as they walked. She was so grateful that she had Roxas so close by. After what had happened, it would have been a shame if something else occurred. But as long as Roxas was nearby, Namine felt as if that wouldn't happen.

Sora looked forward as he walked, a blank expression on his face. His hands were curled into light fists, not because he wanted a fight, but because he was so tense. He didn't even want to think about what just happened, but it was hard not to ponder if he did the right thing or not.

Namine looked over her shoulder and slowed her walk, waiting for Roxas to catch up so that she could be right by his side. After what had just happened, she just didn't want to be away from him. Even if nothing bad happened to her, it was bad enough it happened to Sora and Kairi.
