Cramps, actually. xP Nice! Wish I would have slept. x3
Sora exhaled a silent breath and gazed down at the floor, hands folded in front of him. Riku, just hold on, he thought sadly. If he had any say in the matter, which apparently he did, then Riku would be alright. He just had to give into the orders of a madman...that was all.
Slowly. xD I've been bored for a lot of it. And sick to my stomach. D8 How about you?
"Riku's a fighter," Sora said, both for his benefit and for Kairi's. "He'll be alright." That was what he hoped, but truthfully, he was worried about his friend. This guy who kidnapped his friend must have been pretty strong, since Riku wasn't one to go down easily.
A River Flows In You- Yiruma
Happy Easter. =)
"I'm sure this won't go on too long," Sora told Kairi reassuringly, the teen putting together some facts in his mind. The man had seemed impatient on the phone, so the brunet doubt the villain would have the patience to let things sit idling for long.
"I will," Sora assured her, feeling the urge to smile a bit to reassure her that he was speaking the truth. But because she couldn't see him, his lips stayed in a frown.
"It'll be alright," Sora assured her, feeling the concern in her heart. Somehow, he knew that things would turn out okay. They always had in the past, so why would this time be any exception? Namine folded her hands in front of her, her soft blue eyes staying on the ground. She really hoped Riku was alright; he was one of the few guys she trusted with her life. He was a great friend, even if she only saw him on a few occasions.
Then hopefully we'll catch each other. xD After my next post, I'm off. Bye!
"I guess I'll just wait," Sora said softly, both verbally and silently. "What other choice do I have?" If he even tried to contact anyone, then the man would possibly be angered and hurt Riku. And that was the last thing Sora would allow. Namine's smile had faded away quickly and she looked to the ground, not wanting to stare at Kairi while her friend was so busy focusing. She felt so bad for her friends...They all really did have the worst luck, didn't they?
Probably in the late afternoon and early evening. You?
Namine smiled softly, glad because Sora had responded and because there was no immediate threat to either of her two closest friends. "I'm also positive now that I'm the one he's watching,"Sora added, remembering how he had said Sora had done a good job with the breakup. The brunet was greatly reassured by the discovery he had pieced together. He would still expect Roxas to keep a close eye on Kairi, but still, now that there was less or no danger for Kairi, he felt much better.
I have to go really soon.
Sora reopened his eyes, hearing Kairi call to him. "He just called," he informed her softly. "He believed that the break-up was legit." That was one thing they could be thankful for. Now maybe this man would keep his friends out of it completely.
Namine shifted uneasily on her feet, wondering exactly what that meant. Was Sora harmed, or was he just distracted? Sora did trust Roxas to watch out for Kairi, but after leaving things so open-ended with her, he didn't want to not be able to see her. It felt as if he were in a cage, and he hated that feeling. The teen exhaled silently, forgetting that he had been in the middle of a conversation with Kairi.
"What's wrong?" Namine asked gently, too aware of the fact that Kairi was distressed not only by the idea of not seeing Sora, but by something else. It didn't take a genius to see that; it just took a good friend. "You did well," the voice on the other side of the phone said. Sora furrowed his eyebrows further when he heard the man chuckle. "What do you want!?" he growled in frustration, his hand clenching into a tight fist without thought. "I'll call back in the near future. Be ready." "Wait!" Sora shouted again, but just like their previous phone call, he had been hung up on. He snapped his phone shut, anger and confusion seething inside him. What now...? He supposed he'd just have to stay away from everyone until he got another phone call, just as he had told Kairi. But still, that was much easier said than done.
Namine's eyes turned sadder when she saw her best friend's misery. She wanted to step forward and give her best friend a hug, but she knew that wasn't the best thing she could do at the moment. After all, Kairi was in the middle of something. So she stayed where she was, waiting to hear what would be said next. "I don't know," Sora confessed with a sigh. "I just know that for now, I need to keep my distance from other people. Unless--" He stopped mid-sentence, feeling his phone vibrate in his pocket. He unfolded his hands and immediately pulled it out of his pocket, checking the caller ID. Unavailable. He answered the call and lifted it to his ear.
Namine stood two steps away, the three of them in a triangle of sorts. She waited for an answer from Sora through Kairi, the blond wanting to help out in any way possible. "I want you to spend the next few days with Roxas and Namine," Sora told Kairi, sort of answering the question. "I want Roxas to be able to keep an eye on you, since I won't be able to." It stung to say those words, but he knew they were true. "It'll also look good for the break-up," he added. "If all the shades are shut, it'll just seem like you're being comforted instead of being protected."
"I'm not so sure about," Sora said in response to Roxas' words. Whoever was on the other side of the phone call, he had never said Kairi's name. "It almost seemed as if this centered completely around me doing his bidding. And to do that, I had to be separated from his friends and loved ones. I'm not even sure he knows your name, Kairi," he added, grateful for that one bit of assurance.
