I agree. I was, to say the least, surprised to see that fight in the manga instead of seeing Ciel throw that dart at Sebastion and Finni, nor did he ask Sebastion to take down the photo of his parents in the hall. Not only that, but it seems that the manga and anime are out of sync. The example being Elizabeth or Lizzie, didn't appear in the anime until episode 3, but in the manga she appeared in the seccond chapter. I thought she might've appeared in the third chapter instead.
