What you do next surprises her. Rather than pushing the issue and trying to get her to break down and accept that she's just a worthless little kid without a greater understanding of the world you ask for a pen. Seriously, she's dumbstruck. Starts to say something, stops. Starts again, stops. Starts a third time and just hands you a pen. With a confident internal scoff you sign the papers and receive a text message on your phone. It links to a website where you can download an AR application. Apparently, this is how FB communicates with its agents. Yeah, you're an agent now. There's no helping the unfortunate facts here, you're now officially a twice crossing, double thinking, some other duplicity related descriptor kind of guy. No helping it really. The key to being a hostage negotiator is to know when you're allowed to give up and when you're allowed to keep fighting. You ask if the handcuffs can go. She says you're gonna wake up without them. Really? This basement is kind of a secret. Kind of? Yes, kind of. So you ask if you should get the chloroform now or wait until you're feeling drowsy. She says that you have a flight to catch so it's gotta be now. You ask if this is how FB always communicates. She doesn't know. She only knows that the chloroform and the handcuffs were her mother's at one point. Nothing to it but to do it.
Maybe it was just not funny at all?
It's commenting. Commentating is a new word and specifically refers to the comments offered during an event in real time. Sports commenters comment in general whereas sports commentators give a commentary during the game.
It's, "look no further", kid.
Shoulda been a pally.
It's fine. I was never as into Who as my family and they quit not long after me as well so I don't have a reason to watch it anymore. Catharine Tate Show though, that **** is brilliant. I don't like being one of those people who references **** all the time but I can't help it. I just can't, Not bothered too strong,
River song is the reason I no longer watch the show. I didn't even make it that far because I hate her. I hated Donna at first. But then she was okay then I watched her show.
River is a Sue. She doesn't work within the show the way she should. Her initial appearance was very strong but they borked it all up later. Done. Martha was blander than the others but still rather inoffensive. Amy was okay. Rose was okay but a level up from Amy. Donna Noble took time to get used to but I ended up liking her best.
I don't really understand why people don't like Rose and Martha. They're better than Amy and a pile of sticks would be better than River.
It unfortunate because he's got the wit to take the haters now.
I feel like they were always this way.
The Unquiet Dead was fine, I have no idea why you're shitting on it so hard. Jack is overrated.
It's so awkward hearing people younger than me talk about drinking.
Superfriends ruined his rep.
I have no particular feelings on Superman, I'm primarily just not interested; but I actively dislike Batman. New Aquaman is much better.
Start with Dynamite and Image. They are smaller and are less bound by the timed format. Also, Nonplayer by Nate Simpson is gorgeous and probably will only end up being about one book long if he ever finishes.
It really is. It's probably got over 70 years of history by now. It was written in a different age, for a different audience by different people. There's no way adapting such an outdated idea could possibly be easy. The themes in Superman show it's age and it's origin, too. The outsider who never really fits in but decides to support the establishment regardless and ends up being the backbone of the system itself? That's early century immigrants in America to a tee. Even now that may hold true to an extent. Anyhow, Superman really doesn't appeal to my sensibility on any level and I do think Clark Kent is a bland and unlikeable character, but I'm not going to say that it's any worse than any other super hero series out there.
Because of that and the fact that it's the crowning example of all of the things they do of that kind. The reasoning for it is more important than the thing itself though. I just prefer a clean continuity because it shows a writer knows where they are going and what they're trying to say rather than pandering.
No big deal. I'll try to be more clear. So when you work week to week or month to month you have time constraints and you have to try to make every single update "worthwhile". This messes with the pacing of a grander arc and development and usually forces writers into situations where they have written two contradictory things to keep it interesting on a local basis. This might seem alright to some people, but I like things to have a deliberate and intentional feel not a thrown together, gotta get the ratings feel. The world of cardboard speech was introduced to smooth out some of the discrepancies in Superman's power level. In essence, they were covering their mistakes by pulling out a totally random reason for it. A lot of people like it because they can understand the reason and Supes seems relatively badass when he's saying it. I don't like it because I actually think it sounds like bullshit and I understand why they wanted to write it in the first place.
