You sound like a bus driver I know.
It'd be a lot easier/possible to take this whole thing even marginally seriously if it didn't have such a ridiculous name, you know.
It's probably as good an answer as you'll ever have, so I think it'll be fine. I also hated reading in elementary school, though. It was always dull and slow. I also played video games from a young age and watched a lot of television but there are probably two main differences between me and you here. I started with fighting games, I could only play as long as there was someone to play against and I didn't have cable until I was in my teens. So the way I played games and the shows I watched were probably very different. I could go one about the differences that may exist but in the end I think it's safe to say that you were used to pure sensory input and direct interaction where I wasn't. When it comes to the internet, that actually opened up a whole new world of reading for me in comics and manga. I hadn't read any before I started getting internet access, but now it's one of the main things I do online.
Destroy the ring.
I don't think being an English major actually reflects how much you enjoy reading or how much you read. In turn how many things you read isn't actually reflective of how much you enjoy either, it's why you read and how often you read, I feel. It's totally fair to compare your own life experience and the effect it had on you to the life experiences of another. It's natural and normal, everyone compares themselves to others and it's not a bad thing. Also, clearly lost on most of you, was my point that while I was read to a lot it's the fact that I ended up reading a lot of those things on my own or at least knew these things as a result that mattered. I feel like some of you are taking this as derision and negative judgement, which I guess you've come to expect of all people who simply don't understand others. Fair enough, it's not like you've ever wondered why someone thought the way they did, nope. But Nate pretty much nailed it, it's just a question and I'm just curious.
I read a lot compared to you. I've read probably a hundred novels, nearing on a thousand eastern comics, and at least a dozen or so western comics. Now, I read only a small amount compared to a lot of people I, personally, know. That's a big difference there, isn't it? Even the people I know who read the least have in the past read at least 2 or 3 novels for their own personal enjoyment and don't really have to force themselves or anything. They just don't more often because they prioritize other things more often. But me, I was introduced to novels before I could read because I was read to when I was younger, stuff like The Hobbit, those Narnia books, folklore anthologies, and various other things. So to me reading is like walking, I may have learned it at some point in my life but it's natural and I can't see not doing it. It doesn't make sense to me doing otherwise. So this, to me, is like you, at your age, just learning to walk, essentially. So I wonder what makes you like that?
I don't have time to constantly question people's life decisions.
Sometimes I wonder about you.
It uses one of the same words.
Continue masturbating.
Vote: skull joke
Just saw you in the same thread as me three times in a row, thought it was worth a joke.
It was still a good series, I just prefer my endings to be determined by the writers and less by the resources. For those who didn't know, they actually finished production work on the final episode the DAY IT AIRED. That's how little time they were working with because of their funds and why they couldn't get the extra couple episodes that it would have taken to smooth out the ending and since this was their first original series they couldn't really make it a two season affair either. Anyways, still the strongest show of 2013.
Couldn't really care any less about the animation budget here, the real cuts were made in the plot. Like pretty much everything with Nudist Beach after Tsumugu's second appearance was dropped and that made me sad because I like the Tsumugu.
Implying there are people who don't.
Dude, stop following me, it's creepy.
I don't want to deal with this for even one day. I have studiously avoided getting premium to avoid this nasty shit.
