English food in itself is rather grand but a stereotype of it being rather unappealing has existed for a good while, primarily, I would presume, due to the ingredients it utilises. That in itself is amusing considering many other European cuisines use similar ingredients or make similar dishes, but usually hold a sort of twist on them that differentiates them from the aforementioned. It also is, I believe, fuelled from a general idea that English cuisine is "bland" in comparison to a few others. Personally, I find traditional English foodstuffs to be lovely. We can never find lovely fish and chips in this area however. Maledictions, Canada. You are implying Ireland is not currently developing a very vibrant cuisine scene, vite! And thus began the First and Second Wars of Scottish Independence. As long as it is not 1812 I dare say Canadians and Americans shall forever be dandy friends. As long as you do not talk about hockey. Please stay away from discussing hockey, or, for that matter, staying out on the streets of any large Canadian city when there is a major playoff game occurring, especially with an American team.

An animes is the term for something that roughly stands for annotated musical and is definitely unrelated to Japanese animation in any sort of way. However, with the evolution of the animes, there has been a large development in the fields of the animes. In the present day, you can find animes about many different types of things. For example, the famous animes Cowboy Bebop is a very well-known and timeless story of silly space cowboys dancing to jazz music or some such along those lines. A scene from the classic animes, Cowboy Bebop Many of the animes deal with many different topics and cover a range of themes, and the animes can suit a large number of tastes. To the outside viewer, the animes are either considered: 1. Kiddy cartoon shows 2. The subject of a multitude of Soulja Boy songs The veracity of these claims is dependent on the animes you are currently viewing. For example, Neon Genesis Evangelion, pictured below, would be considered by many to fall beneath the first category. The cast of the famous animes, Neon Genesis Evangelion, known for the extensive Christian imagery and symbolism it holds. All of these characters represent Biblical figures most likely. Many of the animes have their origins in specific objects called manga, which shall be covered in the next chapter.
