Overall very nice. ;D I see what you mean by the lower body and the hands, but there's nothing else wrong other than that. Hands will come with practice.

I just got an email from the coordinator for the cosplay chess game at Anime Boston this year and HOLY **** I AM A SPECIAL.

I can't go into any further details due to possile spoilage but still holy shizz. I worked so hard on my costume that to get in on it, even as just a special, is just so WOW right now.

    Someone...down the hall...bought one...

    It sounds like a cat in heat yowling to whatever song they were doing as they were walking and dying at the same time...;_;

A little more real than that thing, that's for sure. I'd hate to see any super-fast notes on that thing, or double/triple note chords. That's hell for your fingers right there, it's a lot easier with something a lot bigger than the palm of your hand. When I said "real" I meant the real game, not a true-to-life guitar. No need to bash.

And for the record, I do play a real guitar: two in fact. An acoustic and an electric. And I play rather well.

Likewise. I bought one for my iPod that uses the clickwheel to play, and uses all the songs on my iPod, which is awesome. Unless somehow some of my Riverdance stuff shows up, that's a bit awkward.

Just now noticed the silly thing's got a belt clip...I'd have to restrain myself from laughing if I saw someone walk by with that thing hanging from their pants...

    *just died a little inside*

Actually, if my brother got his hands on it I might mess around with it, just to see how to work it. But I'd never buy it. *pets her wireless Kramer and GH III* It's gotta be real, or it's no deal.

    *weeps*

As if the "air guitar" belt loop thing wasn't enough, now we have this. I saw it at f.y.e. yesterday for $17, another site says $15, but regardless....c'mon now. Don't kill the franchise. Please.

At least I think it is...but I can't get to the forums without encountering some sort of a databse error that's been there for three days. The only reason I'm able to post this here is because I went to my CP and clicked on a topic I got rep points in, then scrolled down to the Forum Jump thing to get here. Clicking on the "Forum" thing on the top bar under the banner shows me the database error page.

Is anyone else getting this? I've done everything I can think of on my end and want to make sure I'm not crazy or anything.

It looks good overall but it is a bit hard to read the text because the colors are almost the same and blend right in.

Was that directed at me? If so, here:

Hair = dead. I don't plan on styling/spiking it until the week of the con so it's "fresh", if you will. Hopefully you can see the zipper (sewn in to the fabric), but you might not because it's black. I slid metal fan pulls onto the hood pulls, but I'm going to sew chains and beads into the coat instead. They look kinda goofy, and they keep banging into me.

Close-up view on the chain, which is really silver stretchy jewelry cord and "ancient" beads from the craft store, sewn into the stitching near the hood. Again, ignore the flatness of the wig.

Oh, and the weapons? Foam board coated with Model Magic and then painted with silver, red, and black acrylic paint and then sealed with polyeurathane. Just in case you were curious.

Also made a sea-salt ice cream bar I plan on walking around with, don't have any pics of that though.

I think next year's I'll use the pattern I have from from Nobody's Buddy and sit down with some pleather and sew it from scratch, since this one still sucks even though I put a ton of work into it.

I modded mine from an old Halloween costume, and that cost me way less. I think by the time I finished it, it was something like $27 (including the price of the costume).

Well it just threw me off. I mean, double painted yellow lines means DON'T PASS. It's amazing how 70% of the poluation got their licenses the way they drive.

Umm, libregkd....um...*makes hand passing over head motion* I didn't get it...can I have a cracker instead?

Trying to get back from some errands when this idiot in the other lane decides to pass a Sunday Driver in a no passing zone, and swerves into my lane (going the other way, mind you) and misses me by a hair going 70+ (limit's 40). We should have swapped paint, it was that close. I had to pull over somewhere to try and calm down, I was so freaked I couldn't even grip the wheel.

I'm home now...but geezus. I hate the drivers around here...

    First Cars

My first car was given to me by my parents; it was my dad's old car before he got his current Jeep. It was a '00 Mazda 626, gold, no A/C, shot CDs at me, 110K miles, old little thing. Still loved it to death. Totaled it last year in a crash.

My car now is an '03 Hyundai Accent, 47k miles (bought it at 45k), A/C's ice cold, but no power locks like in my old car. However, the dealer told me I'd only get 32 mpg highway, I actually get 36. I love it; perfect for my small bank account and current lack of job.

edit: just fixed a small spelling error....what the heck's a pnly, anyway?
