If it's the army or navy asking me to enlist, I just say "Sorry, I'm not suicidal". Except for the one time I get this one guy and he goes "Neither am I...that's why I make the phone calls. Ya wanna make phone calls?"

I got one once for my dad and continued to go along with it, pretending to be him with a sex change. Haven't gotten a message for him in about 3 months now. XD

Dance Dance Revolution Mario Mix. Christmas. Biggest mistake of my life. EVER.

I also made my mom get me this car magnet that looks like a giant bandaid at Spencer's, and back when I was 11 I made her buy me these 4 Pokemon Eeveelution figures from somewhere in Malaysia. I still have 'em. They were $20 all together.

I'm going to agree with the guy in the letter somewhat about the media, but I wish he hadn't centered it on just kids. I remember when they had the Mountain Dew soda for Halo 3, and that flew off the shelves. And I highly doubt it was 7 year old kids hanging off their parents' arms.

But yay to him for mentioning parents need to take charge as well. But he forgets that in this day and age, both parents work, and maybe there isn't enough time for either parent to actually cook up a decent meal for their kids, and the only other option is a trip down to McDuck's.

That's part of the reason I'm gonna give this one a miss and wait for World Tour/GHIV instead. I'm afraid I'd kill my DS playing it.

I don't even have a track list yet...that's usually what decides the game for me if I now at least half of the songs on the list. I don't think the track listing's been released yet.

Here's a few screens and pictures for the DS verison of Guitar Hero. This month's Game Informer has an article on it and GHIV as well.

The guitar image on the right is where you'll find the strum bar, which will be controlled by the stylus. Also notice the orange fret key is missing.

Battle Mode is back, and it looks as though you'll be able to go Wi-Fi and play against others by swapping friend codes.

A sim of what the fret's will look like. The fretboard plugs into the GBA slot on the DS, so it can be held in the palm of someone's hand while strumming with the other. Also sounds like the mic on the DS will also be used during gameplay.

    Release date: June 22

Either a Ferrari or maybe a Mercedes, but I'd have to drop out of college before getting one....

And I've seen so many Caddys around here now it's ridiculous. EVERYONE has one.

My parents definitely seemed to give my little brother everything he wants, but it's also partially my own fault because I told them I never wanted/ needed anything. I HATE getting spoiled; it makes me feel like I can't take care of myself. I'll spoil myself with hard-earned money I got myself, and just the fact that I'm able to do that is enough for me. They still insist on bringing me something back from business trips, day trips, etc.

Him, on the other hand, doesn't have a job (even though he can get a work permit and wash dishes or something) and doesn't do chores to earn money to spend on himself. At 15, you'd think he'd get the idea that "No means No", but he'll still throw a hissy when he wants something in the store and the parents won't get it for him. They stopped buying him things on impulse when he entered middle school. Now, if he longs for something, he waits for a holiday or birthday.

I guess another thing about being a firstborn is as you get older, your parents feel it's safe to tell you pretty much anything and everything going on in the family and actually seek out your advice. Maybe this falls under the responsibility category, but having your mother come out of nowhere asking you how to handle the next outing with your grandmother who's money burns a hole in her pocket is more like reliability than responsibility. Or trust.

Depends on the family, I guess. I'm the firstborn in mine, and not only do I have more responsibilities, I'm able to do much more because my parents have built a sort of trust. I'm currently attending college, had above-average SAT and college placement scores, and actually have managed to place myself on President's List this year ( You have to have at least a 3.25 QPA for 3 semesters in a row; mine's currently at 3.5).

My brother on the other hand has been so babied and spoilt that he just slack off thinking people will just wait on him hand and foot. He's 15 years old, but sometimes I swear it's 1 + 5. He's at risk for staying back in school right now, and he's grounded pretty much every other week. My parents will talk over the phone about it, and complain that he's not turning out like me.

I guess it's pretty much both. Throughout middle school and high school I'd get picked on and bullied for no apparent reason, and I think it was mostly due to the fact that they just wanted to feel better about themselves by putting someone else down. There was this one girl who always called me fat, bullied me around for doing better in school, and teased me for liking sports and things that guys usually do, so she'd call me queer. I went home for a visit during spring break and what I ended up finding out what she'd dropped out of school, was easily 80 pounds heavier than I am, and lo and behold, HAS A GIRLFRIEND.

Nowadays, I work in retail, and people will always try to ruin your day by trying to prove they're smarter than you somehow. After the first few days you just shrug it off, because these are adults trying to prove they're better than someone half their age. Plus, I always get a good laugh out of a 50-year old man throwing a hissy because something he wanted isn't on sale and we just won't give it to him. :D

Now, my group of friends tease each other all the time, but they're never meant to hurt. We have one girl in our group who is an English major, and we'll tease her when she says something that sounds way wrong, like "I wouldn't have falled" or something like that. But it's all out of fun, and she always finds it funny.

And jsko90, I have a friend excatly like the one you mentioned. She's always got a boyfriend(s), and always acts flirtly and ****ty yet she always denies it, and it just angers us. She's always flirting with our boyfriends, and we'll talk about her when she's not around and while we do insult her, we're not trying to make ourselves feel better. We're trying to figure out how to make her see that she's acting this way.

Shoot....this'll be hard since Axel's my fave too....
    • He's a bit of a floater. We saw what he did in Castle Oblivion, so you thought he was working for Xemnas, but then he betrays the Oraganization again in KH2.
    • For some reason, I see those chakrams and think of Xena: Warrior Princess...
    • While I like that he's cocky, I found that annoying in the game itself. There were times I wanted to strangle him because he blurted out some snarky comment.
    • Fire schmire. Demyx could come out of nowhere for all I care and extinguish him.
    • Two words: Girly hips.
    • Those little tattoos under his eyes...I read somewhere that those mean you've raped someone. Doesn't help Axel's cause that he was chasing Roxas/Sora the whole game.
    • If he was really working for the Organization, he wouldn't have leaked all that info in Hollow Bastion.

    Now, I like Saix.
    • That Berserk move of his, while it was a pain to fight, was still just awesome
    • He's got this low-tolerance attitude of his, which I found amusing
    • "If I had a heart, this is where I'd die of laughter." *squees*
    • That whole thing about "Kingdom hearts...where is my heart?" made me sad.

I think that's about all I can think of.

Quoted for truth, and agreed tenfold. There's no problem with teen pregnancy. I can see where people are coming from, with "It's not fair for the baby," or "They'll drop out of school", "Ruin their life", etc. But no matter how much you rant about it, there always will be teen pregnancies, teen marriages, and teen sex.

The real issue is really whether the parent(s) are actually able to care for or handle the responsibility of a baby. If you're sleeping around with 20+ guys, basically whoring yourself around, and one of them gets you pregnant and doesn't want to deal with you, well, you're S.O.L., aren't you? That's your fault for being irresponsible, not anyone else's.

On the other hand, let's say we have two 17-year olds who end up getting pregnant together and having a baby. If they respect one another, and still love one another and the baby, and are able to take care of it, then that's fine. If the baby's in a healthy environment and getting the love he needs, that's fine.

RESPONSIBILITY. Had to bold that. That's the main point here. There's responsible teens, and irresponsible teens. Responsible teens either take care of the baby themselves or let a sterile couple adopt the baby, so it's still taken care of. Irresponsible ones either neglect the baby or get an abortion, and then turn around and start having sex again.

Someone mentioned Juno. I hadn't seen it when it was out because I was against teen pregnancies, b ut I watched it the other night about halfway through and if she gave that baby to that couple, then she's being responsible because she's making sure the child has a home.

I think I'll round this out here with a personal bit. I have a girl from my graduating class who gave birth to a baby boy not too much longer after graduating. She's able to balance classes and college work between caring for her son. I went to visit her, and he's got to be the happiest, healthiest little boy I've ever seen.

On the other hand, I have a friend here who's slept with 16-17 guys, and dumps them after a month of dating, essentially making them "****buddies". She'll call them up every so often, and she'll sleep with them again. Twice she's been put on Plan B, and a third time almost didn't save her. Each time something goes wrong sexually, she chooses to come to me, the single, virgin friend to ask for help. If she ever got pregnant, I'd feel sorry for the child.

Is that $35 for just one blade or for all of them? or is it all of them plus Sora?

I want it anyway, but I was kinda confused about where the price goes.

I went through exactly what you're going through right now. When I was ten, I lost my grandmother from my father's side. She had been put in a nursing home three years earlier because she was forgetting things left and right due to Alzheimer's and couldn't take care of herself. She'd forget to eat, so they put in a feeding tube. Soon she just didn't feel like eating anymore. She looked like a skeleton. And she barely remembered us when we came to visit her. Two months before she passed, she had forgotten everyone.

It still hurts to try and remember that. Just visiting her every day and watching her wither away...sometimes I'd beg to let me stay home. I hated seeing her like that. And when you're 10, you know there isn't much you can do. You just feel so...helpless...I cried for weeks after her funeral even though I knew she wouldn't be suffering anymore.

Anyway, I know what you're going through. If you need someone to talk to, I'm always around. *hugs* I'm praying for the both of you.

    Help! Frog!

I'm gonna share this email story thing my boss sent me through email. Sure made my day better.

This was an actual call to 911. This really happened.

    D = Dispatcher
    C = Caller

    D: 911
C: I am trapped in my house.
D: Trapped? Is someone holding you there?
C: Someone? No. But there is a frog on the front porch.
    D: A frog?
    C: Yes. A frog.
D: Okay, but what is preventing you from leaving the house.
C: I told you, there's a frog on the porch and I'm afraid of frogs.
D: And you don't have another door to the house?
C: No. There's only one door and I can't get out of the house with the frog sitting there.
D: Why don't you take a broom and sweep the frog off the porch?
C: I can't do that. I told you. I'm afraid of frogs. He might get me.
D: Um...I'm not sure I can help you with this...

Hope this made at least one person laugh...
