It's funny now, but at the time it wasn't. I was Christmas shopping with my mom, and we were listening to Christmas music. I was driving (this is somewhat important). The song "The Christmas Shoes" came on the radio. Now, usually I'm good at trying to hold this stuff in, especially when I'm behind the wheel or in public. Not this time. I held it off for maybe two seconds, then forced myself to pull over because I was bawling harder than a colicky infant. I knew if I didn't, I'd probably get in an accident. Took me ten minutes to calm down to a point that I felt comfortable driving in. Looking at it now, I think it just scared me because of what the song is about and just thinking that the same thing could happen to my mom at any moment. But to be honest, I've heard that song a thousand times before and not once shed a tear. I'm still trying to figure out why that day happened to be the one time I did.
And he has a pimp cane. <3 Other than House, I watch: CSI Las Vegas Law and Order ER 17 Kids and Counting (to make fun of it) Ghost Whisperer Dog Whisperer Million Dollar Password Trivial Pursuit America Plays Yesh, I don't get to watch that much TV anymore.
I'm still rockin' out to Guitar Hero and Rock Band on my PS2. When the frets start smokin', however, it's Katamari and Star Ocean for me.
*snaps fingers* Crap. They're good. No one ever guesses that.
I will in 6 months. *turns 21 this June*
5 years later and I STILL have no idea what the hell that was. Maybe it wasn't the worst book, but it sure was one I never quite understood.
I'm guessing it's an "Xbox" game. XD *ba da ching*
Since your tablet question's been answered, let me try the Photoshop one. I have Elements 4.0 along with CS2 as a regular Photoshop. I'm confused as to what you mean by "layers" not showing. I keep thinking you mean channels, not layers, because you can make new layers on top of the other ones. And that's a default function thingy in Photoshop: both types do that. Only Elements doesn't show channels.
Way to make me feel ten times my age. :P I miss that show. I grew up on that wonderful cartoon. I still love the "Good Idea, Bad Idea" shorts and the Wheel of Morality.
That's me in a nutshell. Something goes wrong, all fingers point to poor ol' Liz. Even when I'm not home, somehow something is my fault. Which is just so freakin' FANTASTIC when I'm, y'know, 200 miles away at college.
Thing 1. Then name the other Thing 2.
Long story short, my youngest cousin was staying here at the house when her family lost power due to the large ice storm that hit the Northeast. I wasn't home yet, and she discovered my manga shelf and asked for a couple of books to borrow. I let her take Inuyasha, because that's what she was reading when she called me. Plus, out of everything she could have picked up, it was one of the safer choices (cough yaoi cough). I sorted through my collection trying to find safe titles for a budding manga addict. Other than Inuyasha, I've added KH, Rave Master, Fruits Basket, and Bo-Bo..whatever. Now that I know that she likes manga, I need help in figuring out which titles would be more suitable for someone her age. Her parents are...well...strict. I'm surprised that they even let her read the stuff in the first place. And I don't want to get busted for giving her something like, say, Fullmetal Alchemist. they'd ream me if they saw her reading that.
Shoot...same here. Actually, try amoxacillin, bactrum, erythromysin (sp on all o' em?)...all I think are derived from the same mold. Which sure made strep throat and ear infections fun when I was younger...-_-;
I thought it was kind of annoying at first, but after a while I thought the song was fun to play in some parts. It's quirky, and I like quirky songs.
I hadn't thought of Chrono trigger to be honest, as he's been on a Final Fantasy high for quite a while now. Sounds like FF III is the way to go (which works for me too; it's within my budget for him). Thanks for the help. I....guess this counts as a question answered...?
One Monsters Take This Life One has a special place in my heart as it was the first song I ever five-starred on Hard. On the other hand, Monsters was the first song I five-starred on Expert.
Here's the scoop: I'm trying to decide which Final Fantasy game for the DS to buy for a friend as a Christmas gift. Out of 5 games we've managed to narrow it down to two: FF III and Ring of Fates. He already has Revenant Wings and FF IV. I was going to get him Crystal Chronicles but he kinda stuck his tongue out at that one. So I guess I'm asking if anyone's played either of these games or knows anything about them, and which one is better (because right now I'm judging by prices rather than playability and fun factor).
Am I the only one that thought that maybe they'd be pencil boards? I collect those and when I found postcards in the box instead I was kinda disappointed. They're pretty (and collectable), but I really wanted some pencil boards.
I can't add too much here, so many other have offered you great ideas to get started with. Maybe try these: -Use the stairs instead of the elevator, if you can. Where I go to school, the main academic building has five floors. Granted, my knees aren't as fantastic as they used to be, but I'll schlep my stuff up the stairs rather than take the elevator, unless I have class on the fifth floor. -What grade are you in? Do you carry your backpack around while you're at school? Carrying around your backpack is kinda like lifting weights, in a way, and moving around from class to class (if you're in middle or high school) helps to burn extra calories. -Avoid breaded foods, if you can, like chicken nuggets or patties. There's extra calories in the breadings that don't need to be there. Also watch out for gravies and other high-calorie sauces. -While I did say watch out for certain foods, don't stray from them completely or you'll go nuts and end up failing. Instead, limit yourself, and use those kinds of food as a kind of treat, but only once in a while. There's a huge difference between eating a Big Mac every day and eating one twice a month. Most important thing I can stress is to not let yourself get discouraged. Personally I think it's great that you want to look and feel healthier and lose this weight, but for goodness sake don't look at pictures of models in magazines and then look at yourself in a mirror and get all discouraged with yourself. Be consistent and stay positive. Do this because you want to feel better about yourself, not because it's what everyone else is doing. Hope this helps and good luck.
Of course they know. "Hon! There's another virus on the desktop. Can you ask your friends on that vidyah game site fer help?" Nice to know you guys are loved, eh?
