I am sorry but I read that as "jaw infraction". The forum is killing me tonight. Will you at least be getting the jaw infection looked at?
There are ways to keep things fun and continue to even poke light fun at members without having to go overboard, though, and the overboard quality has increased recently. People do get offended for good reasons from time to time - not every reason is a whining excuse. And even then there are attempts made to make sure the members understand that the forum has this rough quality. I have personally told many members, even before my time on staff, that members with whom they have been in conflict are usually quite always like this and they may get used to it.
The bullying and rude comments do exist though, and there are times when joking can be taken too far. Heck, we have received notices from new members and older ones alike, though I used the new members as an example there because it was that particular divide which has increased most recently as has been noticed. One can act just as humourous without having to resort to purely disparaging comments and continue to fit in among the populace. It is a bit harder to compare the aforementioned newer members among themselves because each individual has their differences in regards to their characteristics, which is why I reiterate the importance of trying to make sure everyone gets along. Different reactions to different circumstances. One still has to be careful with what the post in regards to whom. There are different ways one would treat their close friend and say, a stranger of the opposite sex and elder age on the street, no? And even in this case, the members in question will understand the quality of the forum and their own methods of adapting through it by looking at how the forum members typically joke with each other. It is just trying to keep a higher degree of courtesy in general when you can.
Allow me to make it a bit clearer? The members in question need to be a tad more careful but at the same time we will not try to impose on the content of their humour otherwise, along with allowing them threads in the Spam Zone of that sort as long as they do not break the rules? What would you prefer to be the terms you wish to add to this compromise? Right! Let us admit that the staff were perhaps too reactionary in regards to locking that particular thread. Let me go ahead and unlock it. Again, we honestly do not mind complaints as you can see here, but they are taken more seriously if they are brought to a location where the environment in question is more serious. But we ask for you to keep the complaints civil as you can. Joking complaints are fine, but serious insults and serious rude comments may certainly be a tad overboard. The thread has been liberated.
Time shenanigans are becoming increasingly confusing, I agree. Was the broken Nirvash the Nirvash she was piloting, but from the future? The...
Hm, that is quite true. I suppose it is possible she is disguising them? She was able to disguise herself as that music star before and pulled it...
A number of things, I suppose. Your head is always aching? Have you been able to get that checked perhaps?
Apologies for the delay, we had to feed the chickens. Which is why many of the other threads in the Spam Zone have not been locked, I would say. This is completely understood. Much of the culture of KH-Vids is built upon this casual fun-poking, certainly. So perhaps it must be both ways. It is not necessarily the fault of the members in question if they get offended over something of the sort because people are offended to different degrees by things, which is why the veteran members must definitely be more careful. But at the same time, the mannerisms, as you say, have been ingrained to the point where these older members are used to these actions as well, really. However there are of course comments and times where the jokes in question can get out of line in regards to members not used to them and occasionally fall into the territory of fairly unsavoury behaviour or even to an extent bullying - even if (and usually) unintentional by the members playing around. But even this is not really justification to act in a manner that would be considered rude otherwise to new members especially. Even in this case, this is primarily focused upon when things do appear to get out of hand, and I can safely say that recent surges in this quality have led to what is this perceived increase in crackdown as well. Members in question can easily get used to the quality of the forum simply by staying for a bit, and even through this they will begin to understand which members joke in which manner of ways. So certainly, a compromise would be nice - we are not really saying you have to be sunshine and happiness all of the time, and would rather you keep the humour culture of the forum so it can be a lively place, but again, people should be mindful of their comments around members less well-versed with the culture of the forum and at the same time they will be able to learn about it. We want to make this a nice place for everyone, not just a smaller amount, and it would be easier if people acted a tad more accepting. Also I wish to clear up that most of the rules had previously existed (with a few notable exceptions) but were relatively unwritten cases.
I have a feeling that Elena is in fact the girl. This may or may not be a crazy crack theory, but her reactions to Eureka are suspicious....
H-hello. I have a headache. How are you.
While it is possible, the degree of topic derailment would be of a much wider variety in the Spam Zone. At least the topic derailments in this thread are still related to suggestions and changes with the conduct of the staff, no? Along with the fact that it is fairly hard to get back to the original topic when there are still concerns from members regarding these problems and it would be unjust to leave them unanswered. Even then, this thread is a special case - an exception, if you will, since it is moving extremely fast, was created out of recent reactions, and appears to contain a large amount of the presented problems by the members. Otherwise many suggestion threads - the huge majority of them, if you take a look even through these two pages, stay on topic. This is in direct contrast to even a single page of a Spam Zone thread, where derailment is more common than a suggestion thread.
Namely because there have been complications regarding public ban discussions numerous times in the past, typically of the derogatory nature from one side or the other, as I have noticed. But anyhow, yes, appeals upon the rules would be wonderful.
But there is a reason that such occurs beyond simple comfort. As was stated before, discussions elsewhere have a greater potential to become massively informal or lose the original point of the topic, which is why this section exists - not simply to ease the staff with dealing with suggestions, but to ease everyone. I agree that the Spam Zone has more activity than this section, but that is why one can simply spread links to one's suggestion thread, no? The Spam Zone contains a quality of discussion that, though certainly not always, can and primarily is lower than that of the expected forum, in which posts are encouraged to stay on topic of the suggestion discussion in question.
Perhaps you can privately send examples of the aforementioned, because I am curious as well and certainly do not deny that staff have the possibility to act in unsavoury methods at times. The staff are humans as well, and things like this may go unnoticed, which is why it is good to report any sort of bullying - staff or otherwise. Of course, there would be repercussions of some sort depending on the severity of the bullying you speak of. Contracts exists for a reason, sir!
The new Eureka Seven AO. I- I have no words. Everything is turning upside down.
Would you prefer a sweatshirt hood or a car hood? I am sure we can petition Misty to make new skins based on these.
My favourite part of Dr. Strangelove was when the member was riding the Yami Flood as it was ejected out of the airplane. What an iconic cinematic moment.
That was not me. I was not dressed in a French Maid outfit, therefore, it is impossible that the person in question was my actual self and not simply a robot sent on a diplomatic mission to meet with a fellow forum head honcho.
That part of the city is much farther away than three kilometres. Toronto is a large city even if it is populated by polar bears and moose with igloos serving as the only buildings, everyone.
We are planning to repackage this board into a canned meat product packaging plant. More revenue to hold up the costs of the server. Do not tell anyone though. Wait, shoot.
