xxxxxxxxxx " All Abbys, Tylers, and Quintus, report to the middle of this heathenistic cesspool, now! "

. . . Well, someone was in a grumpy mood. Kallisti couldn't place the voice that called but she stopped where she was walking and turned around, giving her eyes a few seconds to adjust. Who would be calling them three, though? She hadn't seen Tyler all day, so she wondered if he was even at school, or not. Hopefully, he was alright . . .

Ever since they started falling like cut trees, she was fearful of Tyler's safety. He was the only one she could call a true friend, for she didn't trust anyone else enough to say that . . . Kallisti had no idea what she would do if Tyler died . . . She really did hope that he was okay. To herself, she wondered where Madeline was, and if she was okay . . .

Someone collided with the front end of her violin case, and her temper flared, immediately checking if there was any damage done to her instrument. When she found everything was alright, she used the light of her phone to check who the person was; a cheerleader. Even worse. Her brown eyes peered up at Kallisti in confusion, and when she found who she was looking at, she looked down and then all of Kallisti's anger went away and she sighed, " Forgive me, miss, " she said to the cheerleader, holding out a hand for her to take, " I will try and be more careful in the future. "

With the light of her phone still shining between the both of them, she could see a small blush on the cheerleader's face as she mumbled a quick thank you and took off. She sighed again and walked towards the crowd in which the calling of her name originated from, " Yes, this is Quintus here. " she said, slightly loud, and a few people looked at her, making her glare at them in the dark.

This was going to be a long night.

So, if you can't tell from my avatar and signature, I saw Rise of the Guardians this past Saturday, and I enjoyed it so much. My friends told me that maybe I enjoyed it a little too much, but I don't really care. Everything about the movie was colorful and wonderful, and it was all visually stunning - I'm only sad I didn't see it in 3D.

The plot, for me, was just a little typical, but the unique personalities of the characters and their designs totally made up for it. I even decided to check out The Guardians of Childhood books ( which yes, are children's books, suck my dick ). I think if I had to pick a favorite character, I might say Bunnymund ( the Easter Bunny ) because he was so much more different from the common image of the Easter Bunny, and his accent and attitude are fantastic, and he creates a lot of humor with the antics between him and Jack. All of the characters, though, I love them. ♥

    8/10, would watch again.

xxxxxxxxxx When she heard the metal-framed door close, Kallisti knew she wasn't alone, she just wasn't sure who had joined her. The song ended and as if on cue, there was a crack of thunder, making her look up at the sky with her heart racing just a little. She didn't think it was going to rain today, so she cursed the fact that she had no umbrella with her. Lucky she had one in her car, but that wasn't going to help her getting across the parking lot without getting wet. She didn't mind for herself, but her violin was very sensitive to weather changes and rain, for it made the instrument go out of tune.

She quickly cased up and headed back inside the school, her jacket hugging her with warmth. She didn't know where to go, now. To the library? She could go ahead and get to her next class . . . " Oh, I can just go to the orchestra hall, " she thought to herself with an internal hit to her forehead, and that's where she began to walk, not even realizing that all of the school lights were out.

" Oh, how strange . . . " she thought to herself when finding that it was dark, " I might bump into people at this rate . . . "

xxxxxxxxxx Last night almost seemed like a bad dream. It seemed that every day, Kallisti was waking up in a radically different mood than the one before, only to realize that she still felt refreshed, no matter what. She had found herself clinging to a doll she was bought when she was just a baby, and decided that having privacy was a wonderful thing. It had been very early in the morning, so she decided to go check on Madeline and make sure that everything in the guest room was still intact and that the girl herself was still in one piece.
    Thankfully, she was.
Since school started at 8:00am and ended at 3:00pm, Kallisti was ready to go by 7:00am, and she had left some of her clothing out for Madeline, wondering if she had clothing of her own. She was pleased to see that Madeline did wear what she set out for her, and noce the two girls had eaten breakfast in a silence that Kallisti was comfortable with, they got into her car, and drove off to school, having even more silence. Once they were there, the two girls parted ways, " Have a nice day, Madeline, " Kallisti told her with a smile, " You may come find me at lunch, if you would like. "
It was a relatively cool day, and Kallisti could think of nothing but yesterday's events. They hadn't gotten much done at the diner, and then it exploaded. That was the point where none of them were no longer regular teenagers; they were bad luck, to outside eyes, and if things kept happening with them at the center of it, them being picked off one by one, then someone was going to catch on.
She began to think of Tyler, and where he might be right now. Kallisti felt a little bad because she usually took him to school in the morning, but with Madeline and all . . . She would have to apologize to him later. Once again, she found herself in the courtyard with her uncased violin, plucking on the strings here and again. This always soothed her nerves, though would grind on her father's sometimes when he was busy. Kallisti didn't know if Madeline would accept her offer to come be with her, but if not, that was alright . . .
She was a fan of Bach, his erratic but soothing baroque style was always one of her favorite, and his music always calmed her down, even if she wasn't the one playing it. Not to mention, she loved playing it, so . . . That's what she did.

xxxxxxxxxx Without event - Kallisti was glad for - they arrived at her house, and she guided a very tired-looking Madeline in. Only the kitchen nightlight was on, and so she figured her father had fallen asleep. She would have to apologize to him later for not telling him anything.

She led Madeline up the stairs and down the carpeted hallway, showing her the guest room, which wasn't left alone, for it looked just like a regular bedroom, " The bathroom is just down the hall from here, the first door on your left. " she explained with a slight yawn, " My room is just three doors down, so if you require anything, do not hesitate to come. I believe you saw the kitchen, so you are absolutely free to help yourself with anything you want. " she continued, " I will have clothing laying out on your bed when you are done, and then we shall see what tomorrow brings. " she realized she had talked quite a bit, " I suppose that is all there is. As I said, if you are in need of anything, do not fret to tell me. Good night, Madeline. "

And with a final nod, she left the girl in the guest room, yawning once more. It was nice to help, and Madeline was not such a bad person. Kallisti was slightly fond of her, if anything else. They had never been on particularly good terms, but she did not hate the girl. It was nice to have her here.

    --
Kallisti collapsed on her bed, tired from the day's events. She had finally changed into her night clothes and cut up her ruined leggings, deciding that she could use the cloth for something else, perhaps.

Thinking of it all made her exhausted, and when her thoughts came to the two newly lost, her throat began to grow tight and her eyes stung . . . This was madness, it was, and they could do nothing about it. She curled up into the center of her bed like she often did when she was on the verge of crying. Unconsciously, she reached for a pillow and buried her face into it.

She would never do this in front of anyone, for she had a little too much pride, but she began to wail, the loud being muffled by the pillow against her face. Tomorrow, she would be better, but for now . . . She just needed to cry.

xxxxxxxxxx She looked slightly panicked about something, but Madeline finally spoke, " U - um . . . Yes, please, if you wouldn't mind, Kallisti . . . " For just a moment, she could feel her face turn white hot - she didn't know if it was from rage or if it was from embarrassment, but no one called her Kallisti, only her father did these days - and there was a reason for that. However, this was not the time to be shouting at other people, for she was much too tired . . . " I need a place to stay. Is . . . Is your car alright? "

Funny, she hadn't even thought about her car, but when she looked around to find where she had parked, there it was, undamaged - thankfully, " Yes, miraculously. It appears to be undamaged. " She didn't know if Madeline could say the same for her car, though. As they went away from Temperance and Yunalesca, Kallisti bowed her head at them. Oh well.

What was going on was slightly surreal, Kallisti mused to herself as she guided Madeline to her car. Tragedy brings people together? She didn't know. She was tired. As she got into the car and put the key into ignition, she wondered to herself - would any of them even survive ninty-five more days?

" You may turn on the radio if you'd like. " she told Madeline, " You are free to take a shower and grab something to eat when we get there, and I will have a fresh change of clothing for you. I hope you do not mind. "

xxxxxxxxxx " Are you okay? "

Kallisti almost wanted to laugh at the question, but it was nice to hear something normal coming out of Madeline's mouth. Although she did wish the girl would answer her question instead of steering her in another direction, " I am . . . whole, in one piece, for the most part. " she replied, motioning to her slightly worn clothing. Temperance had approached the two of them and Kallisti wondered to herself why she wasn't in want of the girl being dead. She felt slightly relieved at the fact, but it didn't make her more exuberant to see her. She made a note that she only apologized to Madeline, but it was of no importance, for grudges weren't flattering.

Yunalesca had come up crying to, but Kallisti hadn't paid much attention to her. She thought it a bit silly that this one was apologizing, for she had said nothing but a few barely biting words, ones that didn't really sting much. She turned to Temperance when she heard her question, " The only people who are not present are Ashina and Xavier, " she replied after Madeline did, " I . . . I am quite sure they are the ones who are now gone. " she added with a quieter voice.

    " It's getting late . . . But I can't go home. "

Kallisti looked at Madeline curiously, wondering why she might tell them this. It wasn't much of a bother, but it gave her incentive to ask, " Why is that? " she went on, " Do . . . Do you need a place to stay? I have a spare room at my home, and I am sure my father would not mind a guest . . . " Now she wasn't sure why she was saying this. Normally, she would stay out of these things, but as it stood, they had all had a long night, and although she wanted nothing more than to go home and sleep before the paramedics got their hands on them, and the police for questioning, she couldn't be rude.

xxxxxxxxxx For a long time, it felt like, there was nothing but ringing in her ears, and her entire body felt limp and wouldn't respond to her commands. For just a moment, she feared she might be dead, but then she opened her eyes to see the night sky ablaze with the after-explosion fire. The only thing she could do was stare at the visible stars, just stare and stare. How peaceful it was . . .

With a too-fast pace, her hearing came back to her, and when it did, sirens was all she could hear.

Kallisti sat up and saw that she was a little scraped up and that there were a few tears and runs in her leggings, but up coming to stand, she found slight bruising and small cuts were her only damage. She was thankful for that, and thankful for Abigail - if not for her, then she wouldn't be breathing right now. Kallisti thought that none of them would. She decided to take stock of her surroundings and felt a familiar feeling; this was almost the same situation when Thomas had died, except there were more ambulances, more firetrucks and more police cars.

" . . . The others . . . ! " And she looked to see the others writhing on the ground, " . . . Cherno, Abigail, Chase . . . Anthony, Jonathan . . . Altair . . . " and then with a frantic turn of her head, she saw Madeline and let out a heavy sigh of relief - at least she was safe. Kallisti was very thankful for that, and the fact that Tyler wasn't here. But . . . Wait - she - . . . There were - . . . Two people were unaccounted for . . . Her blue eyes grew slightly wide and she looked around once more, hoping to find what she had hoped to miss, but no . . . " Ashina and . . . Xavier . . . They are not h - here . . . " she thought, growing shaky.

N - no, this was not the time to be growing weak. Maybe they were somewhere else. Maybe. No. She was a realist - who was she kidding. They were dead. Dead as door nails and that was it. The demoness finished her task for the day. She killed off two of them. This time, they expected it, unlike Thomas' death . . .

She would curl up in a ball and cry her heart out about this later, and when no tears were left, she might sob dryly, but now Kallisti needed to have her mind on other things, " Madeline, are you hurt anywhere? " she asked as she came to the curling figure - she felt slightly obligated to check on the others, too, and then she would text Tyler about what happened . . .

xxxxxxxxxx There had been talk of yet another meeting, but Kallisti wasn't sure if she was on good terms with the idea or not, since this soiree turned out to be such a success. Of course, as long as Temperance wasn't there, or she was sitting very far away from Kallisti, she would go, and perhaps this one would be more productive. The fact that the Peacock had brought up her mother was still very unsettling, and how dare that bitch say anything. But she calmed herself, there was no need to be acting like this. She would tell Cherno later that she was interested in his little organizing of another meeting.

In the meantime, her thoughts turned to a pale-looking Madeline, who had consequently just said something to her, " Hey, Quin . . . I'm sorry. " She looked at her and frowned, what was she sorry for? Giving Temperance what she really deserved? . . . Perhaps not, and Kallisti needed to stay away from those thoughts, she was being immature and she was growing a little disgusted with herself once again.

" You are . . . sorry? " she said curiously, perking an eyebrow, suddenly feeling very tired, " If you are sorry for what you had done to Temperance, I do not think you should worry much. It seemed like a long time in coming, considering all things . . . " she explained with a small smile, " You nor I deserved what she said, regardless of it even having any truth to it at all. "

xxxxxxxxxx The staff of the diner was asking them to leave. Of course they were, they were disturbing the peace here. Kallisti sighed, and then glared at the Peacock for her awful behavior. She'll be honest, if she died, Kallisti would definitely not mind much at all, but she would never say that - seeing as she might set herself up more to be hung as well.

This fighting among themselves was not wise, Kallisti realized. She had heard Yunalesca, another girl she didn't care much for, say something about that, but the way she said it, Kallisti had simply blocked it out. Now that her mind was more clear, however, she realized that the girl was right; perhaps this is what the demoness wanted; for them to fight with each other, and they were giving her that satisfaction, however truly angry they were at each other. She looked at the now-messy Madeline and sighed once more, this was not what she wanted, but when looking at Temperance, a new rage began to grow - how dare she mention her mother, when she knew nothing about what happened with her. She had no right to, and - Kallisti narrowed her eyes.

How did Temperance even know about her mother? Of course she had mentioned her on Tumblr a few times, here and there, but that certainly didn't bring enough up for her to say it so that it would affect her. Did Temperance know how it affected Kallisti? If only she had really known what she did to her mother, then she might have been a little more wise in not mentioning it. " This girl is a horrible and terrible bitch, and that is all there is to say about it. " Kallisti thought to herself, " If she is to die today, then so be it. "

As immature as that was . . . Well. At this point, Kallisti didn't give much care, " Well, " she said, mostly to Madeline and Altair, " I am glad we could all be productive little bees of the hive today. " And then she looked at Temperance once more, " Thank you for enlightening me on your personnel, " she jeered , " It was most . . . riveting. "

With one final calming breath, Kallisti decided that she would go outside, Cherno was there after all, and she wanted to check if he was alright. She only wished Tyler was here - oh. Tyler. Photoshop. Maybe she should go over to his house soon, lest one of them dies, but he just might be able to enhance that small print. Just maybe. It hardly seemed like a good idea to leave Madeline in here with Temperance, even though they were all being ordered out of the diner, so she turned to Madeline, " Will you be coming? "

xxxxxxxxxx Kallisti closed her eyes and took a deep breath. This was not productive, why was she still even here? She was just making things more fussy and that wasn't what she wanted. As Temperance violently defended herself, she began taking shots at Kallisti, and then she smirked.

" Here, I thought I was being immature. " she said softly, wrapping her scarf around her neck more securely, " Congratulations, Miss Temperance, you have just proved to each one of these people how immature and hateful you are, and I have proved that I am an idiot for biting onto your baited line. " she continued, " I do hope that you are quite satisfied with yourself. " For she knew she was herself.

A waste of time this was. She turned away from the table and began to walk away. No wonder she had a strong hate for people. They made her sick. She made herself sick. Everyone made her sick.

And that's when she heard the slap connect. Her eyes widen she turned around and saw Madeline attacking Temperance. Well, this was new, and she quickly rushed over to the two girls, who were now rolling on the floor, " Madeline, " she said, trying to have her hear her voice, and she bent down to reach for the girl, only to be nearly dragged down with them, " This is not exactly what I intended, " she breathed as she moved away from the two, " Madeline, I do not think this is wise, " but she didn't act on her words, fearing that the anger might be turned at her.

xxxxxxxxxx About five minutes ago, Kallisti ran a hand through her hair and decided that this meeting had gone downhill fast. It was a wonder she was still even here. Originally, she had been hoping that they could have a short but productive meeting about their fate, but that idea soon disappeared when everyone started shooting in the dark. What she found most important at the moment was the fine print; they needed to know what it said - it had to be of the utmost importance, and if she was right, and the demoness really was attempting to keep it from them, then there had to be something in it that would help them.

When she had heard Temperance bust up with irritation, Kallisti looked up, and saw a red-faced Madeline, and then she sighed. This meeting was going to go nowhere, but what should she do? She decided that she really didn't want anything to do with these people for now and this diner and all of these people and just - well. Everything was starting to grind on her nerves, though she appeared composed on the outside, " Miss Temperance, " Kallisti said to her with a cold tone, picking a few bills out of her pocket, " I believe that you should go calm down. You have no right to speak to anyone in such a manner, and I feel that your presence is no longer wanted here. "

By the time she had finished speaking, Kallisti realized she was standing and carelessly letting a glare show on her face, " I do not understand how you make friends, Miss Temperance, but this is not the way to do it. You act as if you are the only one affected by this . . . this despicable e-mail. Please, tell me again how you are the only one whose life has been altered by recent events? Tell me again how you are so important that you can order people to do things that they are absolute in wanting to do? " she said, her voice growing a little louder, " You are a horrid and selfish person, no wonder all of your so-called 'friends' speak negatively about you behind your back. "

Perhaps she had really gone too far, and she decided that it was definitely a bad idea to show so much of her irritation and anger to these people, but Temperance had finally lost the little good grace that she had from Kallisti, and she no longer wanted the Peacock there, or anywhere near her. She was tempted to leave herself, but she would not stand down from this.

xxxxxxxxxx Kallisti looked at Cherno, he was obviously having a problem here. He seemed to be fine everywhere else, but apparently, there was just something about Lacey's that set him off wrong. She wasn't surprised by much though, albeit a little startled. He fiddled around a little, and then quickly went outside, talking through his phone to Jonathan's and saying sorry for freaking out.

They weren't getting anywhere, the text was just impossibly small and impossible to read. This is probably how it was supposed to be, but it wasn't there without reason. The demon must have put something in it that she didn't want them to read, but to ease her conscience. Maybe she was supposed to put it in there? Maybe she had rules, too.

" What if this woman is answering to someone else? " Kallisti said, leaning back into her chair, " The text is in there, but is too small for us, obviously. Perhaps she desired that we not be able to read it, but the sole reason it is in there is because she had to put it in there, for rules. There is a chance that she has rules, as well as we do. It is also possible that she is not the only one; there could be more like her, and one hundred days is protocol. "

Of course, she didn't know, but it was worth a guess.

xxxxxxxxxx No longer reveling in the previous day's events, Kallisti woke up feeling refreshed. It wasn't anything like yesterday, where she was still on an emotional high, but she felt a great deal better than yesterday. She had made Tyler worry, and for that, she felt pretty bad, but her whole body wasn't in a state to be fussed with. She was just glad that disgusting sickly feeling was gone, the one that wanted her to be passing out every five minutes.

Although she was disgusted with herself for feeling so weak, and letting what that demon woman said get to her, Kallisti was glad it wasn't in the presence of anyone, to not make them worry. For the rest of that night, she laid in bed, staring at the ceiling, even rejecting her evening tea from her father, who she couldn't tell anything to, even though he always worried about her so much. Kallisti felt bad, but it was better for the both of them that he didn't know; if her father didn't know, he wouldn't worry like a poor-souled maniac, and Kallisti could extend her life for a few days.

She was curious when she read what Madeline posted on Tumblr, but she was conflicted on whether or not she wanted to see them. A handful of them she was wary of, and she wasn't particularly fond of being around more than a few people at a time. And Lacey's, really? Kallisti assumed no one wanted any other cafe signs falling on anyone else. She chuckled to herself at the morbid joke.

So there she was, about six hours after waking up, sitting at a rather large table, drinking tea and sitting quietly. Most all of them had really come. This wasn't anything like her concert. She didn't feel happy to see them, save a few. She contemplated their responses to each other; was this really a game? Or was she playing a sort of double trick on them - psyching them out for her own entertainment? They would have to keep on their toes if they wanted to survive, since fun was what the demon wanted.

. . . She wanted to tell them what she thought, but then she remember that she was just a looming person, not one to socialize much. They were speculating too much, they needed to speak of the rules.

" . . . What of the rules? Who are we to not make deals with - what kinds of deals? No romance, well, " Kallisti chuckled inwardly, " We have all figured out how that went. " she acknowledged darkly, " I believe that the ' telling no one outside of your same situation ' is quite apparent, and then there is that mysterious, small, and very hard-to-decipher text that I feel no one has really put thought to. " she said, stringing out the words with a bit of a bored tone, as to not draw her curiosity out, " I believe we will have another opportunity to ask questions, even though this most recent one was . . . wasted." she continued, drinking into her tea, blaming herself slightly for that precious time, " Should we not focus on what we already know, and then go off on a limb to discover the rest? "

xxxxxxxxxx It was like they had entered another dimension, another universe entirely where everything was dull and nothing could be made out properly. The last thing Kallisti remembered with any clarity was Tyler squeezing her hand, and then it had all changed. Everyone around them was gone, but when she looked to see who was left, it was just them fourteen - fourteen ?

Anthony - The doors of the auditorium swung open and there he was - only . . . the he wasn't. His eyes were completely dead, completely blank. He moved like a marionette controlled by a child, dragging Kallisti's head towards the stage where he went. When he spoke, it wasn't him. It was a chilling woman's voice. A girl's voice? Oh - Crestatia. C. It was C. The e-mail. It was real. Questions, what? No, no questions, only staring and bewilderment. Even her unnaturally calm demeanor couldn't withstand this twist.

Kallisti heard Ashina and Xavier speak, but she was too enraptured with her surroundings to even hear. The only thing she heard was Crestatia, C. She was mocking them cruelly now, why hadn't Kallisti spoke up before, what a wasted opportunity! She almost felt like crying, and she felt sick. Anthony collapsed and the world around them returned to normal. She stared straight forward, recycling the declarations the demon had made: Two of them would die on the fifth day; two of them had great potential; the rest of them could die, and it wouldn't even matter.

She was brought back to her senses when Elizabeth rushed over to her brother's limp body, " Someone help me get him to the clinic! " she said, her voice unusually panicked and high. Kallisti automatically stood from her seat, but Altair got there before she could move.

She sat back down; it was a must that she go check on Anthony and Elizabeth later, but first, she turned to a pale-faced Tyler, " Are you alright, Tyler? " she inquired, her breath a little heavy and her heart ramming against her bones, vibrating her whole body, " I do not feel well, myself, but I will be fine. "

Considering all things, she might be the one to die tomorrow.

xxxxxxxxxx The lights of the auditorium dimmed at Kallisti came to attention, watching as the principal, Mr. Havens, walked onto the stage, a piece of paper in his hands and he called the rest of the large room's attention to him. He seemed rather . . . distraught about something, Kallisti observed, and so her interest in what this was all about was piqued, and she leaned forward slightly.

He began to speak in a very half-hearted and heavy way, and Kallisti then knew that something was definitely wrong, " I stand here before you with an enormously heavy heart . . . This school has always astounded me with its immaculate sense f community and togetherness. " he went on, and she sighed, thinking to herself the many, many things that were wrong with that statement, " We are a family here at Bellhurst . . . Which is why it pains me so much to inform you all that one Saturday, December 1st, we lost one of our bells. "

Inside, Kallisti chuckled, musing how silly that sounded, " one of our bells ", but then the meaning of what he said sunk in; a student, they had died, " Here today with us are the parents of our student, Mr. and Mrs. Adams. I ask that you give them your utmost respect and attention." . . . Adams? Though it was visible to no one else, Kallisti's hand tightened slightly into her dress, wondering if the name was just a coincident or not.

An ailing couple took the principal's place on state, and the woman looked like a complete wreck grasping on to her husband's hand as if it was her only lifeline. Someone else began to cry and Kallisti almost scoffed at the behavior, but thought nothing more of it. The couple went on to say a few things, but all Kallisti heard was " Thomas ".

    Thomas.

    Thomas.

    Thomas.

What? Her mind began to reel at Saturday's events; she thought Thomas had stood Madeline up. She almost hated him for it. He couldn't be dead. She remember passing by the scene of the accident - she had seen his malformed corpse. She had seen Thomas' dead body. Thomas. He asked Madeline out. He had a crush on Madeline. He really liked Madeline. And he showed it.

. . . The e-mail. Or was it just a play with the strings of fate? A coincidence? He was very unlucky . . . Kallisti didn't know what to feel, think. She had been the last person to talk to him, ever. How was - how was she supposed to feel about this? Quickly she scanned the crowd to find Madeline's distinguishable face, but with no luck, what was she supposed to do? Keep everything to herself about this? No. That e-mail. She needed to talk to someone about it. Not Tyler, no. She wanted him to think nothing about that e-mail - but he was bound to, right? Thomas' name was on it.

Regardless of the outside of her mind, Kallisti couldn't pay attention. Thomas was dead, and that was the end. Whether it made the e-mail true or not, she didn't know, but this was grave news, indeed. Until she could be alone, she would look completely unfazed; Thomas who? No, no, she had never met him, before . . . Her stomach dropped, and Kallisti couldn't help but think that if Melissa knew this . . . Oh, would she suck it up like mosquito to blood.

xxxxxxxxxx In the morning, Kallisti had waken up feeling refreshed and content with what the day might bring. Since last night was such a smashing success, she felt like nothing could really bring down her mood, today. Of course, she knew she was lying to herself, but as she got ready for school, it really felt like she could smile at everyone. Or . . . Perhaps she was thinking to far into it for that, she definitely couldn't smile at everyone, but last night was a very good night for her.

Just like usual, Tyler met her at the door, and they hopped in her car to get to school. They both spoke so animatedly about last night, and there wasn't one thing Tyler said that didn't make her break out into all smiles. They had found, when they arrived at school, that they'd be missing the first period of the day for a school assembly, and Kallisti was a bit surprised, since it wasn't often that they had those. so bags in hand, Tyler and Kallisti made their way to the auditorium as they were told.

" I wonder what this might be all about, " Kallisti said to Tyler quietly, glancing around to find numerous people from the e-mail. Would she ever refer to them as anything else? It seemed a pity for them to be associated with such a poor thing. Perhaps one day, she could call them friends - or . . . perhaps not.

They were directed to seats, and the two waited for the assembly to begin.
