Was it because he had complimented her on her outfit, or something else? Harley gave an easy smiled and took a bite out of the apple he had picked up on his way here. When he was done chewing and swallowing his bite, he looked back up at her, " I thought it would be nice if we could spend the day together, " he began to explain to her, " Since Christmas is tomorrow and I haven't exactly been shopping yet. " His face turned thoughtful and he laughed, " Not that I have many people to buy gifts for. " Altair's presence near them had become completely nothing to Harley, but Heidi seemed to be extremely embarrassed by it. He wondered why? " So, what would you like to do? " He asked her. Considering the circumstances, she might probably turn him down, in which case, he would just have to go shopping on his own, or not at all. And then there was Altair, who seemed to just be standing by, not saying much. Harley didn't like this guy, but right now, he was of more use to Harley alive than dead. He wondered when the time would come where Altair was of more use to him dead. Speaking of other people from the email, Harley wanted to look at that list of names again and cross of the dead ones, then research the ones he had yet to talk to much; particularly Olivia, Theodore, and Marina. Maybe Dylan, too. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

When had that happened? Were the days really passing by so fast? Kallisti had left her dorm early that morning, and stopped by Ishmael to grab tea. After, she thought she might like to drink in solitude, as there were too many people ( seven ) in the shop and she didn't want to hear their disgusting voices speaking of gossip and the latest trends and news. Someone had been hit by a car, apparently. She wondered who had been idiotic enough to not watch out, and who had been idiotic enough to drive in such a horrid manner. Not that she really cared. She had received an e-mail last night that she had yet to read. With a sigh, she pulled the phone out of her pocket and a few taps later, she was looking at her inbox. Oh, it was from Tyler; he must have sent her a long message, otherwise it wouldn't have turned into an e-mail. Hey there~ It's been a little while... but I'm still worried about you. I just wanted to remind you to keep strong okay? ...I know times are tough, but I'm here for you and always will be no matter what happens. I promised you after all.Heck. Even death wouldn't stop me! XD Probably not the best time to joke about death right? heh... Sorry about that. So... my mother... she's in hospital... Been bitten by a snake. ...It's not looking good. ...I'm on my way to see her now. So... I guess I'll keep you updated. Hope everything is going okay with you. Miss you. Remember, you're my best friend in the whole world. You're number one, kay? So don't ever doubt yourself. I'm always rooting for you. Tyler~ PS: When all this is over, I'll see you soon for a game of AC3 maybe? Tyler . . . Assassin's Creed III, hmm? She would like that. It was just too bad that she would be unable to see the end of this game. Would it be wise to tell him that? Certainly not . . . He might make an idiotic move and try to strike a deal with that confounded Crestatia, one that she would not uphold due to her hate for Kallisti. Pointless move on Tyler's part, it would be. Kallisti took a sip of her hot tea. [ T U M B L R • OBSERVATION SUBJECTS • L A T E S T ][ YOU • ME • NAMES • LINKS • HATRED ] • [ MOOD : DOWN ] xxxxxxxxxx Harley blinked at the message Heidi sent him. Tyler was dead, was he? What a shame. A real shame. Not so much a shame. A bit of a shame, yeah. Kallisti couldn't know about this. How had he died, he wondered? It had to be after he left the diner two days ago, to go see his mom - had he made it to his mom before? Damn, that sucked. Oh well. At least Harley didn't have to hate the kid anymore. You couldn't really hate a person when they were dead; inefficient, a waste of energy. But. . . . Anthony. Harley continued to walk to the dining hall where Heidi should be, not even caring about the snakes anymore. Anthony, that poor kid. Harley's heart hurt for him. They hadn't even gotten to talk; he had little insight on that kid, but now he was dead, wiped from the world. Never to breath, speak, or play video games again. How sad. These kids, though . . . Frankly, Harley never thought he could really care about them, about anyone, besides Kallisti. Sick as that may be, obsessive as that might look . . . It was easy for Harley to care about someone, but most of the time, he chose not to because of the repercussion caring brought. For example, now; Anthony was dead, Harley was hurting. He wondered what Elizabeth would do when she found out. He carried himself across the school, a few girls giggling as he passed. They were unaware, he thought to himself, that the boy walking passed them had a set number of days to live, that people from the same situation had already died. Would they be giggling if they knew that was the case, anyway? He rolled his eyes. Finally, he had made it to the dining hall. Looking around, there were a few students, but then he spotted his favorite and someone next to her, covering her eyes. By that familiar dark skin and snowy white hair, Harley knew who it was, and didn't like it. " Hey, " he said to Heidi, ignoring Altair, " You look cute, today. " His glance shifted up to Altair, " You should probably move your hands. " He saw that her cheeks were stained with tears; she must have been crying because of who died. He knew . . . She hadn't been expecting it, and for a guess, no one else really had, either. It hurt him, too.

It was always an adventure, never a bore. He liked Heidi, she was a good kid. For how long, though? The voices in her head, they plagued her; would they drive her to do something awful? Probably. He'll be honest, he was expecting it to happen - when, he didn't know, but it would. She would have to be happy for now. Keeping her happy was one of his priorities. When Harley got back to his room, he stripped off all of his clothing, liking that he was back in his own body still, and showered. He was tired. He wondered how long this game would last for him? He had no chance of winning, he accepted that, but he really didn't give a damn. Living his life the same as it had always been, there wasn't much difference. He wondered who he would kill first? Perhaps jeans hadn't been the best choice for a pregnant girl, but she wouldn't be wearing them for long. Without a word said to her roommate she began to guide her down the hallway. In her mind, she wondered what Cristina would think if one night, she came home covered in blood. Oh, yes, she did intend to kill someone before she died, at least once more. She hadn't decided who, yet, though. The person she disliked the most, perhaps? At this moment, she didn't know who that was. Perhaps she should spend more time around each of these people. There was a masquerade ball coming up on New Year's night, that would be a good place. The Sario Estate, it was? That would be a rather nice night to kill and get away with it - but she might get her dress dirty, hmm . . . Fredrick had been waiting for them in a sleek, black car, having got out to escort them into the back seat, " I do not want to return to the Lein Estate, please bring Miss Cristina and myself to the Brookridge Academy of Excellence. " she told him. She supposed she should check that e-mail, now, lest it should be another death sentencing from another demon. Internally, there was a small, ironic laugh at that. Wouldn't it be something, hmm? Within a good amount of time, the car arrived at the Academy and Fredrick escorted the two girls out, " Shall I see to it that you safely reach your room? " he offered, but Kallisti declined and told him they were close enough to walk. " No, that will be all. Do not tell Mrs. Lein that I send my thanks. Much event wasn't had and Kallisti began to pay no mind to the snakes, if there were any left. When they reached their dorm, Kallisti removed her coat and hung it up in their closet. Why did she have so many clothes? It was always lovely to look nice, but . . . Perhaps she would get rid of a good part of them, some time, or give them to someone. She wouldn't need them in the afterlife, after all, who would she be trying to impress? It was a funny thought, that one, and she laughed a little at it. " It is nice to be back. She was in no mood to humor anyone, not anymore for the time being, but it was Fredrick - and she certainly couldn't take any of her black mood out on him. He was a courteous man, and she had known him since she was a young girl. " Good day, Miss Kallisti. " he said, bag in hand and bowing. With a sigh, she slung the coat over her arm and looked back over the room; everything seemed to be in order, and she had her phone in hand, planning to check it later, perhaps when they were driving back to campus. Her heels clicked meaningfully down the hallway as she walked as if she had been wearing them her whole life. She came to the room where her spirit was previously stored, and knocked on the door, opening it moments later to see Cristina sitting on the bed, " Hello again, Miss Cristina. It hadn't come though, and with one simple blink, the room had been different. Not greatly, but she did notice a change. Bandages in different places, pains in different places, and her dark hair cascaded messily over her shoulders. Switched back, was she? How ironic, for she thought Crestatia wasn't mature enough for that - it seemed she was proved wrong, this time. Kallisti didn't mind that, though, being wrong. Not with this; she was back in her own body, and any trouble she might cause in the near future wouldn't be blamed on Cristina. Then again, that certainly would have been a fantastic way to get away with the trouble she caused. She wondered why she had been changed back. Perhaps it was random? Looking back up at Cristina, she said thank you, and then asked them to excuse themselves, for she was going to check out, soon. The nurse that had accompanied Cristina look tentatively at Kallisti, but she was having none of it and asked them to leave once more. Cristina looked less wanting to be here than Kallisti did, " I will be checking out Miss Wilson as well. " she said to the nurse after handing the smaller girl's own phone to her, " She is well enough, and all of our injuries will heal with time. She had forgotten how terrifying it was, " I am at Hydrangea Hospital right now. There was an accident and I was involved. My injuries are none, yet they insist they keep me here. " Her voice was quick, words to the point, but with some underlying fear, " I am checking out in an hour, and I would like clothing that is not destroyed and for someone to pick me up and return me to campus. Her mind had been black and so had everything else - until it hadn't been. Some time in the middle of the night, she couldn't determine when, there had been a strong press against her forehead, and then a strong, horrible voice echoed loudly, " WAKE UP." At that moment, her eyes shot open and a boy with dark skin and piercing silver eyes was face to face, nose to nose with her. As she sat up in her hospital bed, she shuddered, remembering the last words of her supposed-nightmare . . . "I WILL BREAK YOU." . . . She certainly did not like the sound of that. There had been other things, too, but they were recalled with little clarity - or so she wanted to think. Many things were flowing into her mind at the moment, and she began to think of her time spent at Trembling Mountain. That had been a nice little trip, a reprieve from the hell that she had lived through in that auditorium. Her room had been rather nice, hadn't it? She remembered that small coffee table with flowers on it, and the soft beds . . . There had been two beds. She had a roommate, one she hadn't been expecting. A very pretty girl with rosy cheeks and strawberry-blonde hair. Kallisti blinked her eyes and began to remember that person. Spoiler: FLOOD OF MEMORIES A K A : x1 0 0 xD A Y S : xC H A I N xO F xM E M O R I E S Spoiler: Of All 2,000 People . . . She looked shaken, and Kallisti took a step forward, " . . . M, are . . . Are you quite alright? " she asked her, slowly, not wanting to set her off or anything off, " You seem . . . stirred. " she observed, more calm, " Is everything alright . . . ? " " Kall . . . " Kallisti raised a thin eyebrow when the dreaded name began to come out of M mouth, but then " Quintus, was it? " and Kallisti sighed to herself, content that this M wasn't incompetent. Although . . . This was a rather odd turn of events, a very radical change was happening here. " . . . Yes, it is Quintus, thank you. " she said with a little gratitude. She had really yet to tell anyone why she didn't like her first name, and she doubted that she would ever tell anyone. " I'm alright. I apologize for worrying you, if I did. " M flashed a sort of look at Kallisti that didn't quite sit right with her, but she shrugged it off, " No, I was just taken by surprise. It is not in the norm to see ladies running in the hall as if they were being chased by their worst fears, though . . . " But she didn't finish and cleared her throat. She wasn't scared of M, but she preferred not to make an enemy out of her if she didn't need to. Spoiler: He left her. M's M herself, just standing there, almost looking dumbfounded. For just a moment, Kallisti decided to open her door, but then with more thought and a shrug of " It could not hurt. " Kallisti frowned and adjusted her brown scarf, " M. " she said, " Are you alright? " It felt like deja vu, " You look . . . rather upset. " " Hello, Quin." she said, her voice normal and then immediately turning into a wreck, " I'm fi - ne. " H - he left m - me - he - " " He s - stood me up, he - he lef - left me alone! What do I do? What do I do? I - I can't, it hurts, Quin. " It was only M and herself. " M. " she said, calmly, and when there was no reply, " M. Breath. " she said, again, " Breath. It is time to get up. Give yourself small commands to start doing things again. Breath, M. Do not cry, everything will be alright. " she said, smiling a little. And then she offered M her hand, " Stand up, M, it is alright. " She snapped to attention when M spoke, " . . . Thank you. " " You are welcome. " she replied, taking back her own hand, " I am only sorry you had to be seen, but I doubt anyone was paying attention. " " I'll come to your concert, tomorrow. " M said to her quietly, and Kallisti raised an eyebrow. " Thanks again. " And with that, M was out of her presence. While Kallisti wasn't completely dumbfounded she was very confused as to what just happened. M was a strange girl, indeed. " You are welcome. " she replied to the long-gone girl softly. Spoiler: The Concert And that's when, from behind the curtains, stepped a much calmer looking Kallisti, her violin and bow in hand. Someone had to be her focal point . . . She saw M, Anthony, Elizabeth, Xavier, Chase, Ashina, Aileen, Brian . . . She made her way over to M, smiling, " I am very glad that you could make it, M, " " I hope you enjoyed yourself? What did you think? " There had been the words she didn't hear . . . "Quin, that was gorgeous. I really...You're really good," She murmured in a quiet voice. "To be honest, I..." She gave a small wave towards Quin and turned to go. Back to M Kallisti turned . . . When she realized she missed what M said, the girl was turning away, giving her a wave. " Dammit, " Kallisti inwardly cursed to herself - she missed what MA said, so rude of her! She chided herself for a moment before deciding that she wasn't letting the other girl go so easily, " MA, " she tried again, " I apologize, I missed what you said . . . " . . . She had already gone. Spoiler: The Explosive Times of Lacey's A meeting . . . " Why the hell don't you just off yourself MA? It's obvious you don't even want to live! Don't waste the rest of our days by persevering when you don't want it! " " I believe that you should go calm down. You have no right to speak to anyone in such a manner, and I feel that your presence is no longer wanted here. " " Those people are not my friends! And i never once said that i was the only one affected! I just think she should act a little more like she cares! MA here seems awfully thrilled about all of this! It's sick! I didn't even want to come here. To sit with you ****ing people Quintus! Oh, look at me! I'm Quin! I'm so great! I can play the violin. Everybody loves me! I talk like I'm from the 1800's. How's your mom Quin? News flash! You're not that great! " Before anyone could say anything, MA was on the table. She smacked the beverages that were in her way out of it and crawled over to the other side of the booth. Her hand raised and without much of a warning, she slapped Temperance right across her cheek--hard. It wasn't in the way she had slapped Brian's hand away. It was meant to hurt. If she could kill with a slap, that would have been her intention. Secretly, she had been pleased . . . And it all had happened so fast, that night . . . One moment, they were reconciling, the next, they were running for their lives . . . . . . and then with a frantic turn of her head, she saw MAD and let out a heavy sigh of relief - at least she was safe. Kallisti was very thankful for that . . . " MAD, are you hurt anywhere? " "Are you okay?" Kallisti almost wanted to laugh at the question, " I am . . . whole, in one piece, for the most part. " "It's getting late...But I can't go home." " Why is that? " she asked, " Do . . . Do you need a place to stay? I have a spare room at my home, and I am sure my father would not mind a guest . . . " "U-um...Yes, please, if you wouldn't mind, Kallisti...I need a place to stay." For just a moment, she could feel her face turn white hot - she didn't know if it was from rage or if it was from embarrassment, but no one called her Kallisti, only her father did these days - and there was a reason for that. " You are free to take a shower and grab something to eat when we get there, and I will have a fresh change of clothing for you. I hope you do not mind. " "I don't mind," she curled slightly against the door. "Thank you." She did not dislike her. Not much at all. In fact, she was growing quite fond of her. Perhaps more fond than she should be - and in only such a short amount of time . . . Spoiler: The Three days of Hell " Have a nice day, MAD, " Kallisti told her with a smile, " You may come find me at lunch, if you would like. " She had been pleased that she wore her clothing. Her eyes widened a little in surprise when she saw a familiar figure laying on the floor, near the back of the library and just a few feet away from the computers; MAD. The girl looked very uncomfortable, and so Kallisti bent down and observed her a little; she looked really peaceful when she was sleeping, but there was something wrong. " MADE, wake up, " she said as softly as possible, " It is a little late. " "I'm sorry. I don't know what happened." " You do not have to apologize, I merely thought you were sleeping in here. It seems almost hellish everywhere else. " " EHH, QU - QUINT - " "Q-Quin? Are you...Are you okay?" " S - she followed after all . . . " Kallisti thought, tears welling up in her eyes. Well. Almost. " I am here, MADE, " she called out in a more measured tone, getting up from the ground, " It is alright, I am okay. Are you okay? " " MADE, are you alright? " she asked, while it was dark around them, " Please forgive me, I just - I just had to leave the auditorium - I should have - have done it in a more subtle manner . . . " Dear god, what was she bumbling about, " Are you okay? " " I'm fine . . . " MADE replied, and Kallisti stood up straighter, being put more at ease with her reply, " . . . Are you . . . Um. " she began, and Kallisti looked at her with curious eyes, " Well, I mean . . . uh. Are you . . . Are you okay? " " Yes, I am alright . . . " she replied, slowly, " I just had a little scare in the auditorium. It was a most . . . unexpectedsurprise, but I am fine, now. " she continued, and then she gave a small smile in the dark, wondering if MADE could really see her face, " . . . Thank you, for asking, I mean. " "I'll...I'll be back, Quin. There's something I want to check." Spoiler: When she was almost lost She nodded, sure of herself now. Without giving either of them the chance to follow, MADE strode off and disappeared in the darkness. Indeed, it had been wondered where she was going . . . " Excuse me again, Altair. " she told him, standing up, " I feel the need to check on Miss MADE. " Quickly, she began to walk down the hall, and when she felt she wasn't moving fast enough - for she had a bad feeling ( that feeling was right ) - she began at a run. It still wasn't fast enough for her - so she sprinted. What was she doing? " WHY IS SHE OPENING THE DOOR?! " " MADEL! " " I have to stop her! " Why was she even getting into this mess!? " MADEL! " And MADEL wanted to go out into this!? What on earth was the girl thinking?! Without a second thought, Kallisti snatched MADEL away from the door so roughly that the two girls fell back and were now on the wet tile floor, the door once again closed. It was eerily silent all around them and she could only hear her harsh breathing and thumping heart. She was angry. Outraged. She could not believe this girl that was now next to her. They were already all set to die - DID SHE REALLY WANT TO GO SOONER? DID KALLISTI REALLY HAVE TO ADMIT THAT THE PEACOCK TEMPERANCE WAS RIGHT? " Before she knew it, she was actually yelling these words at Madeline, and she couldn't stop herself, " I DO NOT BELIEVE YOU, MADEL, WHAT WERE YOU DOING? " she continued on, her voice giving way and echoing through the dark halls, " DO YOU REALLY WANT TO DIE SO MUCH THAT - that . . . " Her voice began to crack, " I c - cannot believe you would just . . . g - go out - there - i - in that horrid weather, and - you were g - going - to j - just l - leave me, just like - th - that . . . " What was she doing? Why was she crying? "Quin?" Her voice was small and shaky. Her cheeks burned and she turned away with a sniffle. "Aah..." She was alive, and that was what mattered . . . Discussions, debates, voting . . . The victim and the killer. What an awful night. Spoiler: Sharing a room Kallisti sniffed, she could feel her eyes stinging slightly as she leaned on the railing of the balcony. When she turned around, that was when she heard the doorknob jiggle, and then have it open. She raised her eyebrows - who was it? " . . . Hello?" she called out, making her way towards the wall. Her blue eyes peered towards the door opening and then she saw someone she definitely wasn't expecting ( but had been slightly hoping to see ). " . . . MADELI. " she breathed, going around back to the table, and near the other girl, " This is . . . your room, as well . . . ? " Kallisti wasn't . . . disappointed that MADELI was here, in front of here, but she was nervous. She felt a little strongly for her, not necessarily friendship, though they might be close to something of the sort, but rather . . . She didn't want to admit it. " Aah, Quin . . . " And her attention turned to the other, who was pale and nervous-looking, " I'm sorry. The man gave me the key for this room . . . Could have been a mistake. I can request another room, if you want. " she finished a very small voice. " N - No . . . " she replied, a little too quickly. " It is . . . It is fine. Unless you would like to change rooms, I do not mind you s - staying in this one. " she admitted, a slight, rosy tint coming to her cheeks, " I was just going to . . . explore the rest of the hotel, I have nothing much to do . . .Th - There are two beds after all, and . . . " Kallisti didn't know what to do - she was almost scared by this, " Wh - What will you do . . . ? " " I would like to go down to the hot springs eventually . . . When it gets darker. Until then . . . " Kallisti found herself leaning forward ever so slightly, almost anticipating the rest of what MADELI was going to say. " I have some stuff to do, I'm sorry. " Oh . . . Her heart sank a little, " But we should meet at the hot springs soon! " " I'm . . . sorry, Quintus. Please stay safe, though. Don't die. " " You will do well to do the same. " she replied, returning the smile and feeling much more calm. She could almost laugh at that last bit, she thought to herself, as MADELI left the room. " I will be waiting. " Spoiler: When she hadn't shown up . . . Honestly, yes, she was disappointed that MADELI hadn't shown up. Was she really so . . . unreliable? Kallisti frowned. That time, when she had gotten that message on her phone . . . It must have been something important. At the end of the night, it had only been Kallisti. She wanted MADELI to show up . . . With a deep, longing sigh, Kallisti stepped out of the bath and went to the locker room to dress herself. Once she reached the third floor, she slowly walked down the hallway and then into her room, closing the door quietly behind her. she placed her stuff on a chair and walked to the beds, sitting on the edge and leaning forward. She wondered where MADELI was. Kallisti snapped to a standing position abruptly, " Looks like I just missed you . . . " MADELIN told her, making her way to the second bed and sitting down, " I'm . . . really sorry, Quintus. " " It is . . . okay, do not worry about it. " she finally said, leaning back, " I should have . . . I should have waited, just a little while longer. It is late . . . would you like to go to sleep . . . ? " Perhaps tomorrow, they could try again . . . MADELIN nodded slowly. She could not have seen what was coming next . . . " Hey Quin . . . Can I have your number? " came the other girl's small voice, and Kallisti could feel her face warming up, " Y - Yes, you may. " wondered why MADELIN had asked so suddenly phone vibrated. again. and again. Spoiler: Succession of messages that changed everything What had she been thinking? What had she been working at? She had been abandoning things? She had finally become fed up? She truly wanted nothing to do with this. I miss you . . . I miss you, so much . . . Why did you leave me? Spoiler: Breakfast alone That next day, there had been clueless waiting . . . Kallisti sat up in her bed, early in the morning, just barely recalling the events of last night. bed was empty, she raised an eyebrow, wondering where her roommate had gone Finally fully recalling last nights happening, Kallisti smiled. felt very happy both of them, being very happy. Once downstairs, Kallisti found that there were numerous people surrounding the entryways to the bath women's side. whether or not she should check it out turning away from the scene, still wondering what might be going on, completely unaware that outside, ambulances and police and a coroner; body bags and stretchers were the last things on her mind. Hmm, maybe MADELIN would come, soon. Spoiler: The last breath For a while now, Kallisti had sat a the table Every five minutes she would check her phone being silly - just because those things had happened last night, they didn't mean that MADELIN would be talking to her constantly. There was one thing, however, that continued to trouble her mind; the e-mail. " NO ROMANCE ", text message . . . MADELIN hadn't said her feelings out loud What did that mean for her? She had returned those feelings, but nothing had happened to her. . . . Did this mean MADELIN was well, too? Over and over again, it felt like she was mishearing the crowd two distinct names coming . . . " MADELINE Moore " "Temperance Spike " But Kallisti couldn't move, she could only stare at the baths' entrance policemen and paramedics breaths wouldn't come from her mouth, they wouldn't fill up her lungs, and her chest started to feel as if it were constricting impossible it felt to breath right now. impossibly fast she put this all together. This was horrible. Perhaps she was acting this way for nothing. And then she saw the back of an official's jacket. In bold, white letters, it read " C O R O N E R ". You are gone . . . She collapsed to the ground, her body clattering against the tile. You are gone . . . You left me. Your name . . . it is MADELINE . . . MADELINE Moore. You fell in love with me? Is it my fault? MADELINE. . . Why did I forget you? MADELINE. . . Have I killed you? Madeline . . . You are dead now. A drowning human, she had been, and as if she had just broke the surface for precious oxygen to circulate through her body, through her lungs, she gasped, grasped at her heart, and leaned forward with waterfalls of tears pouring from her eyes. Madeline, Madeline . . . Madeline, how could she have forgotten Madeline? How awful, terrible. She cried more. Her heart hurt. She was hurting. The heart monitor was speeding to dangerous levels, soon someone would becoming to check on her. They might even be rushing to her as she thought. But she didn't care. That girl. That moody, defensive, delicate, shielded, masked, shy, terrible, wonderful, beautiful girl. She was dead. Gone. How does one grasp that concept? Removed from the world forever. Was that even possible? No, it could not be . . . Of all of the six billion people on the planet, she was no longer one of them? More crying. It hurt, so terribly bad. A discovery was made, then and there; she had suppressed these memories - no . . . Kal had suppressed these memories, without her permission. Did he think this was better for her? Did he know who he was up against? A demoness. That had not been a nightmare last night. She continued to cry. Kal had suppressed those memories in hopes of her not having to deal with them. A sort of defense mechanism. The face of that boy with her voice. He had woken her up. She had seen his golden eyes, and recognized them. That sit in the hallway. Altair. More crying . . . Madeline, the girl. Slowly, or maybe not so much, Kallisti had grown feelings for her, ones that she didn't recognize or even want to recognize, considering the circumstances. She could not love Madeline, they're was no way for them to be happy together, so long as that demon ran the show. Madeline had, did make her happy. She had been happy with Madeline. There had never been a dull time around her. It was always an adventure, always something new . . . Something new . . . She would be lying if she said she hadn't been surprised by the confession. She didn't really have time to think about it properly, though. Only a little had she. Text, not voice . . . That was also unsafe. Did she know that? She must have. Maybe. Her eyes were beginning to hurt, and she couldn't keep them open properly. Less tears, now. Perhaps she had physically been unable to say it. Not just because of this game, but because she was nervous. Nervous of what? Kallisti clicked her tongue. She was no longer sad. She missed Madeline. It was a sort of yearning sad, not so much anymore crying - not that she had done much crying since her death. How had she died? Kallisti shook her head. Probably shouldn't think about that. No romance. She thought Madeline wanted to win this game, with her assertive and aggressive behavior. She thought she wanted to survive. And for a little while, Kallisti believed she would. Until she didn't. Kallisti had killed her. Terrible, isn't it? Yes, she had been so caring and nice to Madeline that it had killed her. Strange. Her heart hurt. Feelings for her had been present, no doubt, but Kallisti certainly wouldn't have risked her life, her chance at winning this game merely for the sake of loving. Loving. A waste it was. Humans were awful. Madeline had been not so different from the rest of them, but that was before. Before Kallisti cared. Temperance. Madeline was a lot like her, and Kallisti hated Temperance. What had made them so different? Not that it mattered. They were both dead. She didn't know why Temperance died, but Madeline. No romance. Had she not cared? Careless, foolish. Completely idiotic. Kallisti replied happily. Just because she wasn't scared of death, did not mean that she was ready to die. Crestatia could do whatever the hell she wanted, she could kill her whenever, but Kallisti would live this out until she was ready to die. Suicide - hah. Romance? Fuck that. She had already seen the out come of that. Madeline had been an idiot. A beautiful idiot. Kallisti hadn't loved her, not yet. Would she have been allowed to live, Kallisti would have died sooner, rather than later. If she looked at it from that angle, Madeline had saved her. Ironic. Kallisti didn't need saving, yet she had been, and now that the deed was done, Kallisti didn't think she regretted it at all. But it still hurt so badly. So what to do, now? She had killed three people in her life. One of them was her biggest regret. Another had to be done. The last saved her. " Are you alright? " asked a doctor, who had caught her attention. Her heart monitor had slowed radically. Kallisti nodded. Perhaps she was a little worse for the wear, but she felt better than alright. She was alive right now. Madeline was not - and just because she was gone now, that didn't necessarily mean she would never see her again. Perhaps Madeline was waiting for her, in whatever afterlife existed for them after this game. She could not be sad about Madeline, not anymore. She was. It was not good, but there was no use in the feeling. Kallisti felt she had a limited of time left to live. She would die, soon, perhaps. She could not win this game; she had never thought she could. Crestatia hated her. Useful. Why? She didn't remember doing anything out of line. Because Kal had repressed her memories? Kallisti laughed silently. That was certainly not her fault. How silly Crestatia was. She wondered when she would return to her normal body. " If you do not like me so much, perhaps you will never return me. " she thought, knowing that Crestatia could probably hear her, " What is it you want, Crestatia, hmm? My life? You already have it. To see me tortured? We shall see how that goes for you. What do you want me to do? How important am I to this game, Crestatia? " Perhaps she wanted to see Kallisti kill herself - but that was against the rules, no? She wanted Kallisti to break rules so that she may punish her more severely - speculation, of course, but it wasn't doubtful. . . . Madeline . . . I miss you . . . Christmas was soon, wasn't it? xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Saxima says: I'm far too nervous to format this shit. Kallisti fell into a drug induced sleep ( hint, hint, it was pot lololol ) and was unaware that she might die soon. He went to sleep not too long after, unaware that he might die soon.

Why not, he thought, practically every other girl on campus had spent the night in it. Bad joke, sure, but pretty much true. Tyler wouldn't be coming back, Harley figured, so there was no point in waiting for him, even though the diner seemed like the safest place to be at the moment. They all got into the car and drove around until they were near the boy' dorms, and then quickly and quietly as they could, trekked across the grounds, into the building, up the stairs, and finally into Harley's room. " He proceeded to lock his door and shut his window, and then shoved a pillow under the crack of the door so that nothing could get in. After inspecting his closet, his guitar, under the beds, and the bathroom, he deemed that there were no snakes. " If you guys want to take showers, you can. I have some shirts you can both wear. I guess I have shorts too, but they'd probably be too big for you. " He sighed. Things would be okay tonight, maybe? He looked at his night stand and saw a phone. Oh, that was Heidi's. How was she? If this was her phone . . . He wondered where she was. Harley picked it up and began scrolling through contacts. Altair; was she with him? His face darkened at the thought of that, but it seemed the only likely person she'd be with. He pressed the name and the ringing tone began to sound, " Is Heidi there? " he asked when it was answered. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

She had been in ICU, but for only one reason, and that was for the baby. When they decided she was stable enough, they moved her as to free up the room. The doctor who had been her courier had yet to return and she wondered if he had even delivered her not at all. With a sigh, she began to wonder how Harley was and what he had done all day. The snakes were still on campus, was he alright? He hadn't been bitten yet, had he? She was truly worried for him . . . He would be alright, though, yes? He was Harley, indestructible, virtually, and she had known him to come out of many a deadly situation. It wasn't that she . . . well, yes, it was that she cared for him - but they were cousins! Cousins, and family cared for each other, regardless of . . . Well, family is the word to put an emotional tie to the set up. If one were to look at it from a scientific stand point, the people in her family were connected to her only by DNA, and that only went so far. She sighed again, and then her door opened. Coming to attention from her thoughts, it was the young medical student whom she had given the note to. " Miss Sario asked me to deliver this to you, " he said to her, seemingly troubled by the fact that he was playing postman for a couple of young girls. To ease him, she smiled and nodded, trying to look as bright as possible, and then she read the note. Hmm. Oh. Miss Marina had been the person who saved her in the pilot's seat? Her heart sank and she felt doubly awful about her behavior; how shameful . . . She would have to apologize in person. The boy's name, Theodore. How nice. He had been very pretty. What had he thought of her outburst, though? It seems that she had made many people angry, but she was unable to control herself at the time. She would make sure to apologize to him in person, as well. Whenever she returned to her own body, of course. She looked over at her phone on the side table. The screen was cracked, but it was workable. She had a message, one - no, two from the same unfamiliar number. Let me know you are safe. It is my fault. I apologize. Regardless, I am coming to you momentarily.- - OliviaDear Miss Lein,I apologize, deeply, if you may dislike my person, and our Academy, for this traumatic event. It is understandable, and all I wish to do is to make it up to you in some fashion. If you are at the Hydrangea Hospital, and if you still do not mind my company, please allow me to visit you.- - Olivia Miss Olivia . . . ? She was not in the hospital? Oh, dear. What if she had sustained injuries, s - surely she would be here! Kallisti bit her lip and tried to keep a calm face, but the heart monitor - curse that machine - was betraying her. Trying to keep steady, she began to type a message in reply. Miss Olivia,You are not at the hospital? Are you well? Please be well . . . I am extremely worried for your sake.Yes, yes, please come visit me soon, no I do not dislike you. Please be safe . . .- Kallisti With that message sent, Kallisti sighed, and then the medical student had come in once more - Miss Kallisti Lein, there was something wrong with her legs. She could feel her face heating up - her body, what was wrong with it? " In the same situation they all might be, but he didn't trust Elizabeth, not quite. He wasn't against helping her, obviously, but the help had benefit him as well; Allison wouldn't be in jail. Had he thought about his next move? So far, he'd been going with the flow, doing what he had to do when the situation called for doing something, " Not really. " he replied truthfully, " Soon, maybe, I might try to summon the demoness, but I don't really see the point for it, so far. A bargain for a life, maybe? " Allison hadn't answered and Harley knew she wasn't really one to think ahead. There would be a point where she had to, maybe. Making a deal with a demon didn't sound all too appealing, not really. What would she ask for in return? To kill the person whose life he had wanted to save for the time being? To kill in general? He didn't have a problem with that last one, but . . . It was hard to trust a demon. He looked at his watch, then at his phone. No messages. It was getting late. Had Kallisti left his room? What about the snakes? A vibration sounded, and then a shaky voice. Oh, the kid had woken up. Talking to someone on his phone? Harley went quiet to listen in on the conversation, but only heard bits of it, and then the call was over. " M - Mother . . . " he began to stutter at them, and Harley raised an eyebrow, " . . . bitten by a - a sn - s - s - snake . . . " Oooh, tough luck . . . Harley actually felt sympathetic. Tyler left and Harley frowned. Tyler, he may not like, but he did really hope that his mom would be okay. " It's getting late. We should find somewhere to sleep. " he said, suggesting that they should sleep in the same place.

All the stress of what happened finally knocked her out. When she woke up, she was in a hospital bed, hooked to machines and such and almost began to panic. No, things were fine, there was no need to panic. What of the others, where they okay? Her head was throbbing majorly, but she was able to hear the quite speak of a few doctors in her room, talking about her condition and that of the baby inside her. The baby! Upon the thought, she was on the brink of thrashing around, but the doctors' good timing stopped her, " How are you feeling? " he asked, and she blinked at him wearily. trying to move her IV'd arm to her throat. She made a cutting motion across her neck and hoped that the doctors would get the message, " You can't speak? " he asked, and she nodded too vigorously, making all sorts of creaks and moans sound in her body. " I wouldn't move too much. " the other doctor said, " We're here to tell you about the condition of your body. " She perked up at hearing his words and it was easy to tell that her heart had sped up because of the heart monitor's beeping. How was the baby? Was it okay? Oh, Cristina would surely hate her if anything happened to it. She could feel the familiar sting of tears welling up in her eyes that had started happening so recently today. " Calm down, Miss Wilson. " the doctor said gently, " The baby is alright, it has sustained no damages and there seems to be no internal bleeding around the fetus. " At this point, tears of relief began to stream down her face and she looked up at the ceiling. The baby was alright, that was all that mattered. Another thought came into her mind and she began to make a writing motion with her aching arms where various band aids. The doctors seemed to understand her so they left the room in search of what she wanted. Now being alone, Kallisti began to think of all that had happened. There was the high chance that she could have died. She would have been out of this game . . . How could she have come so close? If dead, she would have to worry about nothing any longer. Being dead in this game was easier than being alive, there was no doubt of that, and at the beginning of it, Kallisti told herself that she didn't care if she died, she wasn't scared of dying - not in the least. She had come this far already, though. Would it be wise to just . . . throw that all away. Thoughts came to the boy and the girl that she had placed Cristina by. She sighed - they were probably unhappy with her, and her rage had been foolish. She truly did hope that the both of them were well. What were their names, she wondered? That video game party, she had heard the name of the girl, just from her arriving. Marisa? Maria? Mary? Normally, she was decent in placing names, but she was tired and disoriented . . . Marina, that's what it was. Marine, aquamarine . . . That had been the color of her eyes, no? They were fairly pretty. She was fairly pretty herself. A sigh let out of her mouth. She would apologize to Marina and the boy. Marina seemed to know the boy, actually . . . At this time, one of the earlier doctors had come in with a pen and paper and Kallisti gave him a nod of gratitude and took what was handed to her. She began to write a note as the doctor sat down. To the doctor, she asked if Kallisti Lein and a Miss Olivia could be checked on, and then she handed him the note, also writing for him to deliver it to the Miss Marina it was addressed to. Her hand hurt. The only thing she currently wished for was for Marina to reply to her note, and some decent rest. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

How careless of her, she hadn't remembered it in that single moment of heat, of panic. She hadn't the slightest of how it was done, but she managed to have the helicopter land on the street - no cars hit them - and it had landed on its tail. Just before that, though, a body had wrapped around her tightly and she temporarily blacked out. When she had come to, they were on the ground, and the body was gone. She looked around and then took stock of herself. Her hands were scrapped up, there were a few glass cuts on her face, this awful pain in her stomach - oh, god, the baby! She placed her hands over her stomach; how did you check if your baby was okay? Tears began to well up in her eyes - what would Cristina say, think? She had let her baby die! No, no, no, maybe it hadn't died yet . . . She seemed to have bitten her tongue and she spit some blood out. Trying to get a grip on reality, Kallisti pried herself from the seat, she was a bit sweaty, her body was shaking magnanimously, and she took stock of every one of the passengers. She couldn't tell if they were alright or not . . . But Cristina - there were various cuts on Kallisti's body, and it seemed that she had a rather bad gash on her arm. Still shaking, she limped over to her body, tears still coming down her face, and with her weak muscles, she wrapped her own, larger body around herself and looked around weakly for an opening in the helicopter. There were small flames about, there was no doubt that it would blow up soon, and Kallisti needed to help everyone get out, but she was only one small little girl, how was she to do it? A pretty girl and that boy with the green eyes were laying out on the cement, next to a building, a good measure away from the crash, and they didn't seem to be moving. She dragged Cristina over there, leaving as little damage as she could to both of their bodies. When the deed was done, she set down Cristina next to the boy and girl and patted around herself for the speaking device. Ah, there it was. She pulled it and found that the screen was cracked, and she quickly typed something it to check it's maximum damage. " You are alive. " it said to Kallisti, and she nodded to it, hysterics building up. " You are alive. " she had it say again. " Breathe. You are alive. " She found comfort in this mechanical voice. She looked, more like glared, at the pretty girl and then fiercely typed something else into the device " NEXT TIME, I'M DEALING WITH THE FUCKING SNAKES. " it seemed to yell at her, feeling Kallisti's raging emotion, " AND YOU, " it said to the boy, " THANKS FOR THE HELP. " . . . Now that it was done, she needed to help the others, but her legs were a little damaged, and her knees were going to give out on her - no, she had to do this! The faint sound of sirens was nearing and she would be glad for a little help. She was slightly resentful of Olivia, but did not hate her, and so next on her saving list was - " HELP! HELP ME! " Oh, dear god, what was that? She looked around the scene of the crash, the ambulances and other officials pulling up. There it was, a girl with purple hair, trapped under a piece of the helicopter. Forgetting her total exhaustion, Kallisti ran over to her and inspected the situation. This was a rather big piece. It curved up at the end, and - Suddenly she was swept off her feet and carried off, to a paramedic, they were here! Silently, she began to cry hysterically. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
