Personality: Very expressive and extroverted, if not a tad bit florid, energetic, and flamboyant. Fulmine is the type to dance around, prank, trick, and only take things completely seriously when necessary - which sometimes leads to his slip-ups. He is the embodiment of the word boisterous. A very large presence - he walks with a wave-like and sneaky movement, and seems very carefree. He gestures when speaking and is extremely careful yet elegant with his motions. He laughs commonly and tries to find enjoyment in life, along with sharing enjoyment with others. However, this hides a sharp, sly, and clever mind that is trying to fight the dire realities he has found himself in through defense after defense. Very rarely does he lose his temper, but when it occurs, it is like lightning - noticeable for a split second and intense in its power in that small time frame. He is also quite lazy at times, and has trouble expressing his emotions, typically using his perpetual grin as a default expression. Bio: Fulmine was actually far less energetic and expressive in real life. Taking more of a loner approach, he continued to keep his perpetual smile and closed eyes, but wanted to stay away from people. He preferred viewing the interactions of those close to him from afar, and was a very impersonal person. His smile was more melancholy. In the real world, he did much to hide the fact that various events in his childhood that continued to haunt him to this day - some of them, he felt, being his own fault and mistakes - left him a relatively sad person who has had trouble with emotions. He preferred the company of people through the internet and video games, and through this he discovered SAO. It was around this time that those he met through the internet had been beginning his slow recovery, but it was his entrapment in SAO that allowed him to don the energetic persona in order to make the best of his time and his relationships - and to see if he could change, contrary to his own beliefs. Job: None yet. Guild: None yet. Weapon: Rapier Special Skill: Coriolis Warp - Three minute activation period. When attacked, an auto counter-strike is dealt that successfully deflects any attack back at the enemy or a group of enemies, thus dealing extra damage (anywhere from 30% to 70% of the enemy attack damage + the normal attack of a rapier strike). In the activation period, Fulmine can warp short distances around the field. Uses a large amount of stamina and has a fairly long recharge period. If the enemy is a good deal weaker than Fulmine, the skill also costs five to ten hit points. Other: Fulmine has a few verbal and facial tics. He usually ends a question with "hm?" and cocks his head to the side. Under stress, Fulmine's closed-mouth smile grows to a wide teeth-baring grin.

I cannot word things well oops. Say you receive three votes for a dish in one poll and four votes for another dish in another poll. From these you would have seven votes on all of your dishes thus far, even if you did not win the competitions. You would thus have seven achievement points. I was considering a goal for every four weeks or so but this is of course subject to change - one week for the competitors to join, and the three weeks for the cooking/voting. So generally a month. But we can change this, of course. And that was one of my concerns. I was thinking of an expansion upon this: The secret ingredient is actually not really a secret (just a special one) and is instead posted beforehand in the join/admission thread so that people who wish to join know which ingredients they have to purchase, or they can join based on whether or not they will be able to purchase/are in ownership of the ingredient. However, the ingredients will be approved beforehand so we do not have extremely expensive things like caviar or king crab or foods that are extremely hard to find in some places like calamansi. Another alternative would be giving people (or rather, the victor?) a pool of ingredients to choose from. Discussion with competitors could allow people to see exactly what kind of exotic ingredients are present in their locations, because I would still like to see a few exotic ingredients here and there (but they do not have to always be a thing).
I would not necessarily think so. You may have an advantage, yes, but this should be open to everyone. What is more, this is set up in such a way that people involved can learn new recipes and cooking tricks!
INTEREST CHECK Welcome to the Iron Chef KH-Vids: Interest Check! This is an idea that a number of members have been considering for a while - something to spice up the forum, literally and metaphorically, hurray! WHAT? What is this Iron Chef that is spoken of? It is based on the hit television shows in Japan and America - well, Iron Chef. It is essentially a cooking competition that pits two famed chefs against each other to create splendid dishes. The catch? Each competition of the episode has a special (secret) ingredient that must be used somehow, in every dish! It is a competition that pits the creative minds and the cooking skills of many against each other to form delectable things. HOW? But since we are not all Michelin star chefs and this is a very casual thing, certain things shall be done differently! Members may sign up to take part in an Iron Chef competition. A sign up thread will be open for a week or so. When things are ready, the competition will not permit any more competitors for the three weeks that the particular competition will take place. The competition will go on for three weeks and is fairly simple for now - there will be a secret ingredient, and members must make at least two or three dishes containing that secret ingredient. Each competitor must have a final post similar to a recipe format, of sorts. The post must contain: > The list of ingredients> At least five pictures of the preparation method (one picture must also say "Hello KHV!" or something along those lines)> Witty commentary and picture captions After the three weeks are over, a poll will be made with links to the posts so people can vote on their favourite dish. Winner of the week will be able to choose the secret ingredient for next week. There is also talk of instating achievement points similar to the KHV Karaoke Night ones, but based on total votes over different sessions rather than winning per se. INTEREST CHECK // So this is simply an interest check to see if people would be interested in this small community project! That being said, this thread can also be used to post opinions and adjustments on various parts of the rules. Allez cuisine?
