    DAY 3┊3/4DATEJUNE 17THLOCATIONFERRY
    MOODSIGH // AAAH !! ❤??NOTHINGOOC. . .

The morning sort of passed in a blur that Bryan was in a daze through. There hadn't been enough space on the bus Noëlle got on, so he ended up getting on another, sighing. He felt a little bad because he hadn't taken this time to spend with his sister, which had been stretched thin as it was since he was a counselor . . . Bryan hoped that he didn't make her feel bad.

After grabbing a snack and a drink from the ferry's dining area, Bryan considered spending some time with others, but it didn't feel like it was too worth it right now, so he found a seat away from any of the others and sat down, munching on his snack and drinking his Pepsi.

When he looked around, his face lit at the sight of two of his wards, "Richie, Elisa!" he said, standing and quickly walking over to them, "Aaah, you guys are okay!" He gave them a heavy frown and collapsed into a third chair at the table, grabbing both of their hands, "I'm really, really, really sorry for leaving you behind in the forest, I didn't mean to! Are you guys okay? You didn't get hurt did you?"

Without paying much attention, he squeezed their hands and stared at them with glossy eyes, feeling all sorts of bad at the moment.

    DAY 3 2/4DATE JUNE 17THLOCATION BUS / FERRY
    MOOD HMM.❤!! ! = QUENTINWEARING
    OOC . . .
    . ❞

After a quiet breakfast ( which Sophie was honestly a little disappointed about, but c'est la vie ), all of her things were gathered up and she left the cabin, registering that there was no 'but' and they really were leaving camp -- she would have to wait until next year to mess with these others. They would most likely be different people by then and her previous entries would be null and void. Disappointing.

After attendance, she boarded the bus and took a seat near the front and stuck her headphones over her head, cancelling out the rest of the world. Before the bus was full, one particular boy boarded; his eyes were a bright blue color. Sophie looked at him briefly and tried to place a name with a face, as she recognized him. Oh right -- after the fire. Quentin. Well isn't he handsome? she thought with a neutral expression on her face, and then returned her attention to the window outside. Ack.

Sophie returned her attention to the outside, peering through the window, but it seemed that a presence next to her was trying to make itself known. With a silent, patient sigh, she slipped them down the back of her head and they came to rest on her neck.

    "Salve."

At the sound of his voice and the word he used, Sophie blinked. Her first thought was Pretentious. -- not that she was one to speak, and then she shook her head. "Bonjour." she replied.

He chuckled and replied, "You seem unusually happy."

Sophie kept her neutral face, "It's more of a half and half thing." Keep her answers short and she wouldn't have to talk to him long. Leaving camp was not on my agenda, so I'm a little vexed at the thought of not having my fun this summer. "Though . . . I'm not sure you would know what I usually am, unless . . . you have been watching me." Facing forwards, her eyes danced to the side.

Quentin titled his head and stared at her. "Maybe." He didn't feel remorseful about it, and he hoped that she wouldn't either, "What do you plan to do now that everything is cancelled?"

Sophie would never admit it, but she didn't like being the one that was watched. But that was a good question. "Resume my music. Yourself?" Telling him that it would be in solitude would be offering him too much insight. Sophie was not an open book.

He sighed. "Out of curiosity, what are you listening to?"

. . . He hadn't answered her question. Sophie blinked at him again. "Coriolis, Penguin Café." she replied, not even leaning to hear what she was listening to. "You evaded my question."

"So I did." He put his finger on his chin as he thought of his plans. "I had something in mind for camp, but I'm in the wind as of yesterday." He brought his hand back down. "What were you most looking forward to about camp?"

This made her think of the small glass vial in her personal bag that sat on her lap. She hadn't thought about that. It was going to go to waste? Perhaps not. "The people." she replied simply, a smile filling her face.

Quentin raised an eyebrow, looking at her smile. That sounded like him. "Anyone in particular?" He was oblivious to the forwardness of the question.

The first part of their conversation took up the span of the bus ride, and Sophie was unconsciously boarding the ferry with Quentin, still engaged with him. It was a little annoying that she was paying more attention to him rather than her surroundings and the others as she usually did. "I'm more of a . . . collective-people person." she responded as they made their way to the nose of the ferry.

Quentin moved to the edge of the boat with her; he was disappointed. It felt like he was boring her, so he decided to try something different. Something . . . more egocentric. Quentin leaned his back against the ferry railing, "This might sound strange, but . . . How would you describe yourself as you are now?" He kept his face expressionless, not wanting to give anything away.

Sophie didn't like that he continued to take her off guard. Quentin was an interesting person, she decided, but she kept her face expressionless as she replied, "I've never had to describe myself to anyone." she said thoughtfully, leaning over the railing, loving the feel of the wind nuzzling her hair and face. It would be nice to go swimming soon . . .

"Observant, perhaps. Maybe a bit of a free spirit. I don't like being held down by anything." Her pale eyes stared at him pointedly, "You're very forward, aren't you?" It was a little annoying, but she could move past it.

"Am I?" His brow furrowed quizzically. Quentin became little self-conscious and realized where he was. When did we get on the ferry? "Thank you for answering anyway, then." He felt a little dazed, finally taking in his surroundings.

The conversation went quiet and Sophie wondered how long they were on the ferry for. She could never really judge the amount of time they spent riding it. He isn't so bad, I suppose.

Quentin was almost finished coloring his drawing when Noëlle woke up. He was very satisfied with his drawing and smiled at her as she looked around. "Good morning, sleepy head. How did you sleep?" She answered absentmindedly, but noticed what he was doing and asked what he was drawing. He cocked his head to the side, smile still on his face. "Nothing."

She didn't press it. Instead, she got up and went into the bathroom to change again. Quentin put away his drawing supplies and made his bed. She came out in her new change of clothes and suggested that they head out. He agreed. He was getting hungry, and moving around was a great respite from sitting for so long.

They made their way into the kitchen and got themselves some breakfast. Quentin was oblivious to everyone but Noëlle and himself. They talked and he came to know what she liked. He made a note of what she ate and her choice of clothing. He glanced at her when he thought she wasn't looking.

They more or less parted ways after that outside of their room. The rest of the day passed without incident until the buses arrived. He followed Noëlle and watched her go to the back of the bus. That was his place. Perfect. He stepped onto it and moved in her direction, but saw the brown haired girl right in front of him. She looked him in the eye, and . . . he saw it again. Something in her expression. He hesitated. Where should I sit . . . ?

He could not decide, so he decided to flip for it. Same directions. It came up tails. Oh, Sophie. He pocketed his coin and made sure to casually set his things on the wrack above her before sitting down next to the volatile girl. He nodded in her direction as he spoke, hoping to prompt her out of her music and into a conversation.

    "Salve."

Quentin woke up before the sun came up with no idea of what time it was. He wasn't hungry and felt well rested, so breakfast and going back to sleep were out of the question. He looked across the room and saw that Noëlle was still sleeping soundly. Too bad. He quietly grabbed some clothes from his bag and got ready for the day, then sat on his bed and faced Noëlle.

He kept his eyes on her as got out the MP3 player he had retrieved from his cabin and began to listen. In pitch dark I go walking in your landscape. Broken branches trip me as I speak. His heart beat in tune with it. There was a lamp on the nightstand. He turned it on to see her better. She truly is pretty. He remembered how she looked last night and blushed as he unconsciously imagined how she would look sleeping naked. He was tempted to try something.

She fidgeted, causing him to jump and freeze in place. So much for that. He waited, but she did not move again. Asleep... Okay. He could not get the image out of his head, but he didn't want to risk waking her. He tapped his fingers to facilitate his thinking. Undressing unsuspecting women and playing music are out. What about my painting? He picked up his sketchpad, opened it, and glanced at Noëlle before settling in. Then it came to him. Aha! I'll draw it instead. He grinned mischievously to himself and studied her for a moment, then began drawing her frame.

It didn't take him long to outline her shape, but he felt that the drawing would take him at least an hour. I wonder what her nipples look like . . . He went with normal until further notice.

It was brighter outside the room by the time he started coloring, but he decided to keep at it until she woke up or someone came in to get them.

    MOODUNCOMFORTABLE❤??7% = SOPHIEOOC. . .

"Y - Yeah . . ." Bryan said with a hint of being uncomfortable. He kind of wished he hadn't come into the kitchen -- but it would have been rude for him to turn down the breakfast Sophie made for the campers. He was grateful, but to be honest, Sophie kind of scared him!

While eating and waiting for the others to rise, the pair made little conversation and kept him on edge. He felt awkward because he was a little out of his element here, and that was only because of her. Talking to people was usually a piece of cake, but she seemed so intimidating!

"Hey," someone said, and the two of them looked up, and Bryan immediately felt better knowing that there was another person.

"Good morning," he greeted cheerfully, and Sophie merely nodded at the other girl, "I don't think I've met you, yet! My name's Bryan. I am -- er . . . was the counselor of Cabin E. You can join us for breakfast, since there's enough for everyone!" To be honest, he was kind of reaching out for a limb here.

Somehow, sleeping had been a blessing, rather than a curse as it usually was. No dreams, no visions of her life . . . Sophie felt quite reinvigorated with the morning, and her mood was chipper ( chipper being . . . Sophie-chipper, which was a pleasant smile and a less 'judging u' air ) as she waltzed around the kitchen, humming to herself while preparing breakfast. Normally, Sophie didn't like cooking for anyone, or really, just cooking at all ( "But if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself." ), but today felt a little different.

It was nice, up until she remembered that they would be leaving today, and that brought an overall damper to her mood. Annoying. Either way, she was already halfway through breakfast, and there was no use in stopping now. She had been the first up in the morning and wondered who else had come, besides Alexandra.

Sophie wondered if Alexandra had heard her secret already spread around. It was likely that she should have, but of course, players tend to ignore actions like that and move on as normal, which puppeteers find highly annoying.

From behind her came a wide yawn and she looked over her shoulder from the stove. "Good morning, Bryan." she said with a smile, "I wasn't . . . expecting anyone so soon."

Bryan looked a bit embarrassed, and she probably invoked the thoughts that he was intruding. She supposed he sort of was, but no matter in making him feel bad. "Feel free to set the table." Sophie motioned to the cabinets for plates and silverware. He nodded slowly and went to work.

Just a little while later, breakfast was ready. "You don't have to wait for the others to wake up, you know." she commented, as he was looking a little stiff.

"Y - Yeah . . ." The two set to a quiet start, waiting for the others.

"Noëlle." She took something unrevealing into the bathroom with her. "What's yours?" She kept the door open a crack, but he couldn't see anything. He decided it would be too forward to peek under the circumstances.

"I'm Quentin," he said, yawning, "It's a pleasure, despite everything." He layed down on the bed and felt supremely relaxed. Quentin really was sleepy. He wanted to talk, but he would not last long, and he figured neither would she. Especially since he still had to take a shower. "I figure we're both tired, but can we talk later? We have tomorrow." He put hope in his voice and tried to sound alluring despite his tiredness.

He gathered his own pajamas and took a shower when she was done. He changed into his clothes when he got out and hit the mattress, feeling sleep overtake him quickly. "Good night, Noëlle." he murmured, half conscious, and then drifted off quickly.

There. She had completed the first section of her blacklist. She gazed over her most recent entries with a smile. Well, these were all only the first entries, and there was much more to be added, but . . . Well, she didn't know if anything every would be added, since they were leaving tomorrow. How disappointing.

With a yawn, Sophie began to put her things away, neatly tucking the locked book into the bag. There were only a few entries in the book that could be used against her, but only if the person knew what they were doing . . . It was one of her most prized possessions, but of course, material only went so far.

Now that she thought about it, it was also disappointing that Cupid's Brew wouldn't be used on one of these others . . . She had been looking forward to that. Boring. Her mind briefly traveled to the couple that she ran into earlier; why couldn't they just disappear?

Sophie laid her head on her pillow, turned out the lights, and fell asleep.

    MOODSLEEPY ❤??NOTHINGOOC. . .

Time went quickly for Bryan. Or maybe that was because he had dozed off a few times while lying face-flat on his comfortable bed. He wouldn't be sore because he was always active, but his muscles and pretty must just . . . his whole being was tired. He really, really, really hoped that his campers were okay. He was just so glad that Noëlle was. She meant a lot to him and he didn't know what he would do if he lost her . . .

A set of footsteps passed through the room and into his sister's, and he figured it was some girl gone to share with her. He didn't bother looking.

Some time later, another set came in. "Mind if I join you?" The last time Bryan had heard that voice, it was holding it together pretty well. Now it just sounded exhausted. He barely managed to nod his head into his pillow.

"When I told them they would have a long day today, I never had anything like this in mind." Bryan laughed tiredly, knowing the feeling about that. He rolled onto his back and lazily stripped off his shirt, revealing a lightly tanned torso. Rustling went on in the next bed and then fell quiet. "Night, newbie."

    "Night . . ."

Night . . . Bryan yawned and wondered who else was okay and had made it to the joint cabin. he turned off the lights and fell into sleep.

"Yeah, sure," the girl welcomed him and turned around to rummaged through her things. She was wearing nothing but a towel. He was pleased. "Thanks." He took a deep breath and shoved the day from his mind. She would have his focus this evening. He studied her as he walked over and set his things on the bed opposite hers.

Quentin eyed her a little more than necessary while she wasn't looking. She didn't seem shy about him and looked very pretty. He smiled when he caught himself staring. He wanted her towel to fall off so he could see how pretty she could be, but his romantic side scolded him. Bide your time. You can do that once you have her. He reluctantly turned away from erotic thoughts and remember his query.

"What is your name?" His voice felt kind of weak. He realized he was sleepy, but decided the shower and bed could wait for greetings.

Quentin had made it out mostly unharmed. He was even excited by the commotion as he enjoyed the adrenaline and was still lightheaded from the smoke. He felt happy, in a twisted sort of way. He wondered what was next. Then someone started yelling.

". . . PRESENTLY, A HANDFUL OF YOUR PEERS ARE EITHER MISSING, HOSPITALIZED, OR DEAD. AN ESTIMATED 46% OF THE FOREST HAS BEEN COMPLETELY DESTROYED . . ."

The smile disappeared from his face. He had seen Tucker and both of his girls alive, but his high was lost. Even he couldn't shrug off death. If that wasn't bad enough, the next words that came out of his mouth were that camp was ending ahead of time. His expression grew bitter. I haven't even taken someone yet. God dammit.

    ". . . GROUPS WILL BE MERGED. GROUP A, B, C, D, AND E WILL BECOME GROUP 1. GROUPS F, G, H, I . . ."

Yeah, yeah, whatever buddy. What about my plans? He was starting to miss Kevin. He had been so excited about this whole thing. His cabin was missing. He didn't know what to do. After a moment he settled for growling out his frustration and sat down to think.

No playing music, no games, no camp romance . . . Quentin could already feel the boredom creeping over him, and it was an extremely unsettling feeling. He shivered and something jingled in his pocket. Oh . . . I still have Cupid's Brew. He looked over at his two girls. And they'll be at the academy even if camp isn't. His cabin forgotten, he began to relax again. He could flow with this.

He knew a bit about the brown haired girl. Sophie. She was standing by trying to look completely unaffected by the chaos around her. The pink haired one was more of a mystery since he did not know her name. She was hugging one of the counselors and crying. Quentin smiled again, if only slightly. They were both cute, in their own ways. He still had no idea why he liked them, but he knew that he did, and that intrigued him. Romance hasn't hit me in a long time. He wanted to learn the pink one's name.

Before he could move towards either of them, he heard more yelling, for his cabin this time. A man had gotten up on a chair to get attention. "ALL CAMPERS FROM A AND B COME MEET BY ME. IF YOU'RE IN C OR E, MAKE SURE YOU FIND YOUR COUNSELOR." His eyes narrowed, but he went toward the sound of the voice anyway. After announcing his cabin, he asked which direction he should go, if he should get his things and how much time he had.

He kept an eye on the girls as they started to wander off. He was growing impatient. Maybe I can bunk with them this time. The thought made him happy and his heart picked up its usual speed. He darted off to his cabin without waiting for an answer and was back before more than a handful had followed them. He made it into the leader building and caught his breath. His bags felt unexpectedly heavy after everything that had happened.

He could see a kitchen head, and cabins on either side of the doorway. He saw the counsellor from earlier go into a room on the right side. He knew that he had found group one. Left, or right? He was in a romantic mood, so he decided to let fate decide. He set his bags down, got out a coin and flipped it. He closed his eyes as he caught it and flipped it onto his other hand. Tails I go left, heads I go right. He opened his eyes. It was heads. Right, it is.

Quentin walked down the right hallway, peeking in each room as he went by. He found one of them in the second one. He stepped in and asked politely, "Can I stay in this one?"

Garth's voice hadn't been pleasing to listen to, but this whole 'leaving camp' business was ridiculous. Sophie didn't plan on this, and she certainly didn't want to return to a place where no one wanted her. Ahaha, then again . . . It wasn't as if anyone in camp wanted her either, but it was easier to deal with when they weren't her family.

The thoughts brought a little black cloud over her as she packed up and shipped off to the new section where Group One would be staying. At least this would be one last swing of the pendulum before she had to return to her own personal hell. After leaving her cabin, she walked down the path with her flashlight, ignoring the world around her as she listened to her music and hummed along.

Uff -- "Please watch where you're going." Sophie said, looking up to see who she had run into. "Oh, it's you." she said with a sort of somberness, "Please leave me alone." She walked around the set of two and continued down the path, her heart settling down from the crossing paths. Sophie wished she didn't have to see those two anymore.

Sophie had to admit, these cabins were much nicer than the ones they had previously been staying in. It was like a mini-cabin-hotel. She wondered how often and who for these were used; probably important people, like paying guests and camp leaders.

When she looked at the time, she was surprised at how late it was. It didn't feel like it was nearly 1:00am, more like . . . 11:00-ish, or something. After finding a room that was unoccupied ( was she the only one in the place? ), Sophie set her bag down on the edge bed and sat down on it. These beds were a lot better than the other ones, she thought to herself as she laid back. It was probably a good time to settle into her night cloths, so she stripped and put on a white tank top and a pair of sea foam green shorts.

"You're here, too?" Sophie perked up at the voice and standing in the doorway was Bryan, "Nice to see you're . . . okay . . ." He seemed off. Less bright? She was too tired to inspect his person. Noëlle was probably here, too. She'd seen the both of them in the crowded loft.

"Mmhm . . ." she hummed, "Please leave, I'm going to sleep soon." Sophie returned her headphones to her head, tuning him out and pulling out her black notebook to check over it. Bryan left the room, looking a little abashed.

    DAY 24/4DATEJUNE 16THLOCATIONMAIN LOFT
    MOODANXIOUS / GUILTY ❤??NOTHINGOOC. . .

The loft had been packed tightly, wall to wall with worn, scared campers. Bryan wasn't feeling to good himself, and could only hope that his campers were okay. On one hand, he wanted to find them, wherever they were, but on the other, he wanted to stay by his sister's side until he could be absolutely sure she was going to be okay. He knew she wasn't feeling good.

When Garth got onto the stage in place of the energetic and bright Kevin, Bryan knew it was time to be quiet and listen to what was going to happen next. He winced at how loud the counselor's voice was, but knew there wasn't anything he could say against it that would make it an invalid use of announcement.

". . . PRESENTLY, A HANDFUL OF YOUR PEERS ARE EITHER MISSING, HOSPITALIZED, OR DEAD. AN ESTIMATED 46% OF THE FOREST HAS BEEN COMPLETELY DESTROYED, AND THE DEEPER GROUNDS OF THE CAMP ARE CRAWLING WITH VIOLENT FOREST BEASTS. THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE IS STILL UNKNOWN." Bryan felt his heart rate pick up. This was terrible . . . What if one of his campers was dead? On his first year . . . What a failure he was.

With a heavy shame, Bryan listened to the directions. Of course the campers would be going home. That was only natural. The parents wouldn't like this once they found out, and bring them home anyway. This wasn't his ideal start . . . Would camp even be a thing anymore?

"ALL CAMPERS FROM A AND B COME MEET BY ME. IF YOU'RE IN C OR E, MAKE SURE YOU FIND YOUR COUNSELOR." Bryan snapped out of his shame daze at the sound of Erik's commanding voice and was glad that one of the counselors was holding it together. Cabin A was Erik's, Cabin C was Sam's, E was his, and B was . . . Tucker's. Oh, no . . . He didn't see Tucker anywhere. Trying not to let his emotions get the best of him, Bryan raised his hand for all of his campers to meet him and kept it up.

"A - Are you better now, Noëlle?" he asked her, his voice betraying him a little, "You should get back to your counselor -- she's probably worried about you . . ."

It seemed after all that she was okay . . . Or at least he thought. Maybe more okay than him, anyway. They had left the loft and Bryan briefly returned to Cabin E to gather his stuff, having the small hope that one of his campers would be there . . . None of them were.

The new cabin they had gone to was . . . really nice. Fairly spacious, and it seemed that all of Group One would be sharing it. Whatever was left of them, anyway . . . He sighed. They grabbed two of the beds in the room nearest to the restroom. Bryan wondered if Noëlle wanted him here, or if she just wanted some time to herself. He did. He loved his sister, but he was . . . all sorts of wrecked at the moment, and he didn't wanna lay that thick on her.

He grabbed another bed in another room next to the one they were in before. He collapsed onto the bed, face first.

With all the coolness of a northern river, Sophie waltzed away from the scene of much chaos. The adrenaline slowly began to calm down, it's flow diminishing in its erratic pumping in her blood. A crawling of pain began to work its way through her nerves from the origin on her leg and she realized that she was bleeding. With a bland expression on her face, she made her way to the infirmary and walked in.

Due to the event, it looked like the three nurses of the camp were out, and so Sophie helped herself to the medical supplies, grabbing a couple-package of crackers. Munching on one, she grabbed some antibiotic ointment, clean cloth, soap, wrapping bandages, and a small bowl of warm water. Sophie hummed to pass the time while pressing the cloth to the five inch, diagonal gash. After patching and wrapping her left calf up, Sophie tested how much it hurt to walk and was pleased to find it didn't hurt much at all. She took more bandages for the future.

    "Sophie!"

When her name was called, she looked for the source and found two taller people running towards her. "Jerry, Chase, hi." she said with a nod.

"Omigosh Sophie, what happened to your leg?" Jerry asked with alarm, bending down to inspect the treated wound, "You didn't get caught in the fire, did you?"

Sophie shook her head, "It's nothing. I fixed it, it's fine." she replied, slightly board, but then her eyes glistened, "I'm . . . surprised to see you two are still together." Chase and Jerry looked at each other with blushes on their faces. "So you used that magical potion on Jerry, after all, Chase?" she asked him with an innocent smile, "I hear it works wonders."

Jerry's voice came up short as she looked at Chase questioningly. His face was extremely red and he suddenly looked angry at Sophie, "I - I did not!"

"Chase . . . What is she talking about?"

"Oh, you didn't know?" Sophie asked, playing the shocked innocent, "He used it on a few others, actually -- interested in how it worked, y'know?"

"Sophie!" Chase barked, rage-mode on the brink. He was about to swing his fist and Sophie was ready to dodge -- SLAP.

    "I hate you, Chase Carter."

Ten minutes later, Sophie sat on a log with Chase near her cabin. "She was cheating on you anyway," Sophie said, sounding comforting, "You guys were no good for each other."

    "I guess . . ."

"It'll be alright, Chase." Sophie cooed, "At least she's not a killer like Alexandra Brians." Chased looked at her with surprise, as he recognized the name, "Mmhm, I know. Alexandra went through the whole scorned-lover phase, ran over her ex-girlfriend for cheating on her. Ahaha. She's so stupid -- but don't tell anyone." she said, and Chase slowly nodded, but there was that telling-glint in his eyes that Sophie could appreciate.

Back in her cabin, in her bunk, Sophie rested her leg, working on her little black notebook with a satisfied smile.

    DAY 23/4DATEJUNE 16THLOCATIONCIRCLE
MOODGUILTY / PANICKED / RELIEVED ❤??NOTHINGOOCAHAHA. HAHA. HA.

Bryan saw to every camper he could after successfully making it to the Circle. He checked for burns, injuries, missing campers . . . But he couldn't shake his guilt. He felt bad for not being able to do much for Richie and Elisa. He was a bad counselor. A bad person. Would they be mad at him? They had all the right.

He groaned in frustration as he rubbed angrily ( angry at himself ) at his tired eyes.

And to top it all off, he hadn't been able, wasn't able to look for Noëlle! He should do that now. Unconsciously, Bryan's feet carried him back in the direction of the forest.

"You're not very bright, are you?" asked a girl, and Bryan turned around, looking down to see pale gray-blue eyes staring up at him, "There is a fire. Fire. F - I - R - E. You'll probably die if you go back in."

    Sophie. Bryan breathed out, blushing in a bit of embarrassment, "B - But . . . Noëlle . . ."

"Hmm?" she hummed, "She was with Alice, taking her out of the forest. I'm sure she's alright. Look, the firefighters are here."

His vivid green eyes, that were glazed over with near-teardom, peered up to see firefighters, fully equipped, head into the forest to kill the flames. They . . . wouldn't find Noëlle in there, would they?

When a body slammed into him, a crying girl sounding, Bryan fell back onto his probably already bruised butt, and in his lap, pressed into his chest was a mess of pink hair. Pink hair!

"Noëlle!" he cried out with relief, wrapping his arms around his little sister and breathing her in. She was here, she was okay! "I'm so happy you're alright . . ." Aw man, he felt like he was going to cry, "Are you okay? Where are your cabin mates? Your counselor? You're not hurt anywhere, are you?" Bryan stood and swept his crying little sister carefully into his arms. He set her down on a bench and then kneeled in front of her, wiping her tears and giving her a warm but shaky smile, and then quickly checking her over for major injuries.

"I told you she would be alright," said someone from behind him, but when he looked, no one was there, and Sophie was walking away from the scene as if nothing had happened.

Off in the distance, Quentin thought he heard something. Hmm, sounded like a distant stomach growl. He hadn't been around wild animals much, but that was something he easily recognized as a bear's roar. He smelled the smoke not too later after he heard the roar. He didn't panic, but gathered up their meager findings and turned to the others, "We should probably get going. This is looking pretty bad."

Quentin looked down at the trail that they were incidentally on, still in the Sky Woods and began to head in the adjacent direction of the roar and smoke. He wondered how the fire started and if the bear had anything to do with it. An agitated animal? Maybe it was one of the campers. Either way, he had never been in this kind of situation before . . . He began to break the forest, hoping his companions were following, towards the Circle.

    - - -

Sophie had half-expected some sort of retaliation from Toni, but no such thing came, and she was a little let down that her source of amusement died out. After looking through the tree house and coming out, the smell of burning wood and leaves hit her nostrils. Someone had a camp fire out here? Then there was a roar. "Ah, a bear," she murmured, registering that this was a bad situation, "Come on, Sammy, time to leave."

She quickly scaled the ladder down and dropped to the ground, pulling her flashlight from her pocket again and then making her way to the edge of the forest. One of the wooden planks had nicked her on the leg, and now it was bleeding, but she was more concerned for her own life. Forest fires had happened before, but they still weren't that great.

As she ran, wondering if the others were smart enough to follow, a set of other running steps set in time with her on her right, and she looked to see . . . Quentin? It looked like he hadn't noticed her, but they were in the same part of the forest for some reason. Eventually, they both broke into the clearing of the Camp Circle and away from the forest.

    - - -

"No, no, no!" Bryan cried, suddenly feeling so tired, "C'mon, we've gotta get out here -- this way!"

He so badly wanted to pick up Elisa and hold Richie's hand, but his energy was running low, and he still had to run his way out of the forest. He couldn't believe it, a fire, here! Who started it? Someone always started it . . . He hoped that the Camp leaders were already on the situation -- they seemed to handle things like these pretty well, but Bryan found that he never did too good under pressure . . . They would all be okay, right?

As he ran, a thought popped into his mind -- "Noëlle?!" he called out with heavy worry, weaving around the trees. Was she near, far? Already out of the forest? Oh god, he should probably look for her! C'mon Noëlle, I know you can make it . . . ! he thought as he ran into the Camp Circle and away from the forest edge.

DAY 2 3/4DATE JUNE 16THLOCATION SKY WOODS / TREE HOUSE
    MOOD AMUSED❤!! NOTHINGWEARING
    OOC SO SILLY.
    '

Toni and Sophie were called for when Sammy found the tree house before she did. Sophie couldn't help but take a moment to admire the structure. It was built a few years ago, but was kept in mint condition so that it would be safe to go in. The best part about it was . . . not many people actually knew it was here. Not this one, anyway. Surely you didn't expect for there to be only one tree house in this wide range of forest?

Sophie had some wonderful memories in this one, though . . . Ahaha.

"Now listen here, pumpkin head." Sophie looked over her shoulder to see Toni looking at her. Pumpkin head? Sophie laughed at the poorly made insult, and she was fairly sure her head was shaped nothing like a pumpkin, "I've seen the looks you've been giving Alice, and I know you don't like Noëlle much either, but no more!"

Ahaha. She sounded like a little girl throwing a tantrum.

"You're not very smart, are you? I suppose empaths and mind readers are able to pick up on those sorts of things, aren't they? Perhaps I could give you credit for that," Sophie asked with a smile, cherishing this moment, "In case you haven't been paying attention or reading into the lines, I haven't been giving dirty looks to anyone, and it was never previously stated that I disliked Noëlle -- in fact, I find her quite interesting."

There was more, oh so more, to be said, but they were on a mission, and Sophie didn't have time for some two-bit, sorry excuse for a human being's temper tantrum.

"I think you'll find it very difficult to find my mother, by the way." Sophie mentioned absentmindedly, "She's dead."

Tying her short hair back, Sophie nimbly climbed up the ladder to the tree house after Sammy and instead of lingering on the deck, she went inside the somewhat-furnished area, flashing her light around for anything interesting.

They had found something . . . interesting earlier, now that she thought about it. A box of condoms and a strange card. She was more interested in the card, but she did want to make balloon animals out of the condoms later, if they were clean. The card had been stored securely in her back pocket for later checking.

    DAY 23/4DATEJUNE 16THLOCATIONFOREST
    MOODALERT / OUCH !! / ALERT ❤??NOTHINGOOCTEEHEE.

It was delightful to know that Shou and Seb would get along alright. Bryan didn't want them to be uncomfortable around each other, but he also didn't want to feel bad for palling them up wrongly. Still, since things turned out okay, he was happy with Richie and Elisa, checking around new areas for stuff.

When they had been around the tire swing, Richie found a pack of AA batteries and a long rope. Neat! He wondered what uses they would have in future activities. One of their flashlights took AAs, didn't they? He couldn't really see them, but it was nice to have back up. Bryan wrapped up the rope and slipped it through one of his bet loops.

"Nice job, Richie," he said, giving his camper a warm smile and a pat on the shoulder, "Time to move on, guys, don't think there's anything left around here. We've covered some good ground so far . . ." he said as he led them past several bushes of bright red berries. "Don't touch those," he mentioned, quickly pushing them ahead. He sort of . . . had a bad experience with those berries one summer.

    It sucked.

They came to a slightly narrow slope that was just taller than he was, and so Bryan carefully walked up it, slipping once on the dirt and then turning down to the others. "Alright, watch your step." He held his hand out to Elisa first, grabbing the skinny hand -- it seemed a little too cool -- and gently pulling her up. When she was almost there, he wrapped his other arm around her back, setting her on solid ground with a smile, "There you are," he said with a goofy grin and a bit of a blush. "You next, Richie."

Bryan grabbed onto him, and then when the other was halfway up the slope, Richie's foot caught on something and Bryan fell forward, his eyes going wide. One painful roll and thump later, Bryan was laying on the ground, and Richie was on top of him. "Sugar honey iced tea, Richie -- are you alright?" He winced as he sat up, bringing the other out of his lap and sitting him in front of him. He used his flashlight to check for any major injuries. He looked okay . . . Haha, Bryan was gonna have a bit of a bruise later, somewhere.

After some walking -- Richie and Bryan went around the slope and met Elisa on the other side -- they had found a circular formation of rocks. How neat! This would be a good land marker, "Here's our next searching spot, kiddos," he said, looking around the area.

    DAY 2 3/4DATE JUNE 16THLOCATION FOREST
MOOD BORED / ALERT / SEARCHING ❤!! NOTHINGWEARING
    OOC MY SHOULDERS ARE ITCHY.

Sophie wasn't sure how much she didn't care that Alexandra was gone. Could one care less than 0%? If so, then that was Sophie's amount of givingashitittude. And then had come another girl - Toni - that Sophie cared even less about, but she was glad to have a . . . somewhat full group moving around. They came across trees, darkness, and more darkness, and any that looked like they might have some fruit hidden in their branches, Sophie squirreled up and searched through.

When Alice had her little . . . episode, Sophie continued to search around, honestly contemplating leaving the tall girl behind. If she was prone to crying fits like that, Sophie didn't want to have her in Cabin C. Or, really, any of the others for that matter.

"Keep up," she said, jumping down from another tree, looking for the tree house in this side of the woods. She couldn't remember if it was here or in the Sky Woods . . . Probably the latter.

"You guys go on ahead. Alice is obviously not feeling too great, so I'll walk her back to the campfire." Sophie spun around to look at Noëlle. That only left her, the Toni girl, and Sammy. Boring. She nodded anyway.

Noëlle gave Sophie a look, and she briefly -- the moment almost didn't exist -- wondered if it meant anything else, sending an uncomfortable, mini shiver down her spine. Before the pair walked off, "Don't worry Alice, the remains of Alexandra's bear-eaten body will be burned in a pyre of red fire," Sophie called back, slightly playful, hoping for results.

She led the group of three off in the direction of the Sky Woods, in search of the tree house. There was the tall oak, the familiar row of growing saplings ( they weren't saplings anymore, not from last summer ), the growing patch of tall wild flowers. Tall. Sophie ambled her way over and began to search through the flowers, "You guys look over there," she said, pointing to another tall oak.
