Like I said, I've never had a problem with the STYLE, because that's all it is. What bothers me is the self-pity and the attitude that so many people start to associate themselves with. The self-pity thing just drives the vicious cycle making people loath the attention whore thus driving the self-pit even further.

Furthermore emo culture has taken recent generations by swarm. but it's no different than hiphop, or any other sub-culture out there. Also I have no idea what a Chav is.

Transformers was my childhood, and the same goes for Superman. Unfortunately neither really have games that even come close to facilitating their greatness. Movie games rarely please anyone.

I've only ever seen it happen on forums like these. Then again they could be 40 year old men for all I know posing to meet a minor. Posturing that you have it "rough" is just begging for someone to make it rough for you.

Well as long as there's an exchange rate it shouldn't matter. It's no different than someone from Germany paying with Euro.

As of right now, there doesn't exist a gene for liking soft ball or a preference of girls with black hair. It's certainly possible what with the human genome barely even unraveled, but for the most part most of those preferences are either emulated from others around you or pure coincidence.

My God is not your God, nor his God, or her God. If there's anything in common with every idea of a spiritual being it's that all that is asked of you is that you be the best human being possible. Some things can't be helped, and a lot of the wrong things are brought into focus instead of what should really be focused on. It's sad really.

Emo = short for emotional, a title that was meant to show that the music had emotion. The only flaw however, was that all music is inspired by emotion in some form, so instead a movement towards more depressing themes and broken homed kids was formed.

It's the person that wields them that matters. The strongest style is only as good as the warrior using it.

Well it's more of a matter of tolerance than discrimination. It's not like people made it their mission to single out emo immersed kids and pick on them, it just happened because the music gave the style a horrible reputation and all the young impressionable kids in places like the suburbs began to feel that it was their that the music was reflecting. So don't make it seem like you're fronting a civil rights movements because it's simply a matter of whether or not people care about the message you're trying to state, not about equality or who you are as a human being. That's already accepted. Like I said, maybe some musicians will start to pull away from the self-pity and start writing about actual emotion. For having roots in emo music, Fallout Boy seems to be doing okay-- at least they've moved away from the depressed 12 year old in writing poetry in the rain. And hey your life could be worse. You could've been a starving African child born into sickness and nothing else.
