Nah XD just decided, "Hey there's like, 7 days till School starts, so why not stay up a bit?" :P
@Cat~ Bearing in mind what Marushi said about being suspicious of the vocal, yet not spotlighted people I'd like to follow along this track. Can we have some thoughts please Cat?
^This. Makaze please defend yourself instead of shifting blame on to everyone else. I'm more than willing to remove this vote on you, but if you can't come up with a defense for us then I'll keep this on you until a better option appears. I want you to be town. Here’s what I think. I think that this is a good move from you. Makaze was only put on the spot at the start and there wasn’t that much to off then and by the time there was, we were too busy dealing with the more immediate issue of some quieter Maf while Makaze here was pushing us along with them. We haven’t had him in the main spotlight while we’ve had so much to go on. I’d like to see the defense he puts up. And Makaze I really do fail to see the logic in using a typo with Crowley/Krowley as a case. When you say them out loud they sound exactly the same, so I think we can forgive that typo instead of waving a pitchfork around over it. I’ve made the same mistake (Or at least, I think I did). Why? What about The Fuk?’s post has told you mafia exactly because I’m really, really not following your logic here. When I read that I saw that as someone finally properly challenging you. It’s interesting how you seem to fight back rather violently to accusations here, looking at small details and making a show of it instead of doing what might be a better idea- Defending yourself, and then identifying other targets. Can you give us a reason why you defer to blaming others? I’ll be honest, I’m not even sure where that quote came from, however that doesn’t take away from one simple thing- That’s what you’ve been doing. You voted Krowley, taking us past a soft lynch, without comment or reason, under little to no pressure to do so. You then forgot who you voted for. No. Just no. I don’t think a vote for Krowley without comment or reason is inherently suspicious, bearing in mind that plenty of other votes have done the same and frankly, all that needed to be said on the subject was said, and there wasn’t exactly much time for anything else other than to follow. Nobody would question him abstaining, that’s true enough but if he voted for someone else then that would have been called into question and judging by what you’re doing here, you’d be using that as a case against him right now. It’s a small detail that may bear some importance because it would indicate who he suspects, but nonetheless you’d be using that as a case for an agenda, if I’m judging you right. Not many red flags to be found there. There may be some dishonesty there. While yes, I have no idea where that quote came from and I do agree it would be weird, the false quite doesn’t mean that the message it gives isn’t. If I had to put that quote in somewhere, I’d use it when describing the view you seem to present. You’re encouraging activity and people thinking for themselves yet insisting that people follow along. It’s like you say, people shouldn’t be sheep- Except when it comes to you. That’s what I feel like you’re trying to tell us. What gets me here is as Marushi pointed out, you not continuing the case after pushing so hard. What’s the point of losing steam on it? Breakdown of your Default case please. You might have given it earlier, but you may as well give it again in light of a new day and likely new ideas. I think the points made here by Maruashi are quite valid. 1. You cherry-picked ONE word in Beau's post and his reaction to it as the basis for your case. 2. You made the exact same mistake in word choice later. 3. You pushed for Beau's hard-lynch, twice, stating that you were impatient and that you saw no point in waiting, as no new information would come to light. 4. You now say that in trying to get a hard lynch, you were really trying to GET the new info you professed would not come. 5. Every time new info was brought up, you ignored it; stating that it would never take off because Beau had the votes. 6. As soon as Beau lost the votes, you jumped on Krowley with little to no explanation for it. 7. You now say that you suspect the Fuk? for voting Krowley. 8. You cherry-pick ONE PHRASE in the Fuk?'s post as the cincher for your case. 9. You cite his refusal to admit to a lie that has not been proven a lie as proof that he is Mafia. 10. You refuse to admit that his statement could have been a mistake. 11. And finally, you have disregarded the one thing I specifically asked you to do, and that was to defend your own innocence by actually talking about yourself, instead of only ever trying to push blame or suspicion on your accuser. More valid points from Marushi. I’ve changed them into a list of numbers so for ease, I can just reference them by number. Mazake, you please provide an explanation for the quotes selected there. Of course, there's the possiblity that Marushi and TheFuk are double teaming Makaze down here, and that would be quite bad, but I'm willing to believe that it's two townies trying to get a mafia down here.
Didn't think about the possibility of dodging the town watcher or that he may be on to someone. I'll take a flick through the thread and see what I can find for people that Trigger has called out in at lest some detail. If he got on to someone, then it won't just be someone voted on a whim blindly, it'll be someone he looked at in greater detail, if only a post with a couple of at least vague points although I'd expect something more clearly defined
Okay... I may be reading in a bit too much in with some of this, but my first impression after seeing this is this: Killing Trigger was a good move for the mafia on the grounds that not only does it deal, with a mid range threat, because Trigger was vocal enough to be threatening but he's no Makaze/Marushi/What? who IMO are the biggest potential threats for the mafia and simultaneously the town, assuming any of the three wound up being mafia. If given the chance Trigger could have come out with something useful for the town or, guided them down a particular path. The second benefit in this is that it to some extent calls into question some of our other suspects. If one person who was deemed to be a potential threat to the town has died and wound up innocent then have we misjudged other candidates? Now, Trigger is by no means the highest on the hitlist but he's one of the few who so far, I wouldn't put it past to be the mafia. The part that gets me is that Trigger surely could have been the perfect distraction in some ways. Even factoring in what I said earlier about him being a mid range threat, they could have between them shot down any arguments and led a few townies with them. That said, thanks for not letting us waste a lynch on him XD Poorly timed jokes aside, looking at this and there isn't too much to go off, considering it's the first kill and there's no pattern to be established, I believe that we should look to other people who are in a sense, mid range to go. I don't anticipate one of the big players disappearing quite yet. Tonight I think it will be another mid ranger. I'm tired so I can't provide a list of who I consider mid range for the moment, but I can compile a small theoretical list of who falls into which category at a later time, and I'd like to judge everyone else's reaction first. What does everyone else think? I'd be particularly interested in your thoughts Makazke, Marushi and What?
Hiya Kupos! As part of our Fundraising Streams, today a couple of friends and I are going to play Town Of Salem! It's a lot like Forum Mafia and Werewolf condensed in a Browser Game! I hope you'll be able to join us. We're going to be starting in about an hour (3:30-4:30 EST time). It's going to be a lot of fun so if you get a chance, hop onto the KHV Twitch Channel ^~^
Bearing in mind what Ashwin said, I think that we should have a couple of 'backup votes' as it were. The hammer is going to come down on Krowley automatically, but I feel like we can quickly move to another suspect in the event of a a ninja defense near the end. Perhaps having backup votes on a couple of the other suspects such as Default or Beau's Slot (I'm citing them as examples because they are the two other 'major' suspects that immediately spring to mind). That way, we can keep Krowley on 5, and then have 2 or 3 on the others so in the event of the hypothetical disproving defense, then we can immediately switch to one of the two as seems most appropriate. That would give us the quick switch we desire in the event that Krowley can sufficiently prove his innocence or at least, less guilt in comparison to the others. We'd have to discuss who these backup votes are put on and quickly. Whatever happens, we need to come to a consensus on this issue quickly as I'm sure you're all acutely aware- We're running out of time.
To throw in my lot on the whole Krowley issue, I would like to point out that he hasn't exactly defended himself yet. This is probably time constraint based, but it would be nice to hear what he has to say. Frankly, we are kind of going on some vague suspicion here, but I feel as if it would be good to hear a response. We need SOMETHING to go on, and we're not being provided with too much else other than the Default and Beau cases. I'd rather not wind up lynching Krowley at the moment (Though I am still going through my vote for him) because it's an almost totally ignorant vote with no reaction from him, so we're almost blind here. As it stands, I fail to see any other option as No Lynch isn't a choice we want to take right now. I agree with Princess that we want more than we have right now, but nothing appears to be being put forward from the lyncher or the lynchee sides that are more conclusive either way.
The problem I find when trying to audition for a role, is even though my vocal rang will surpass that of said character, and my acting skills are able to play that character emotionally, I'm always too young for the role. This mostly happens at school or community theater because there are older kids that have been waiting to get major roles since they started auditioning at that theater or at the school. Eventually I go watch these plays and realize I could have done a better job. (Not trying to be self-centered or anything, but this tends to end up happening). Imo if you're still able to move the audience with the emotions the character should be getting across, then age really shouldn't matter. I've also found problems with finding female characters that are interesting or that I can relate to. Even in my vocal lessons I tend to lean towards male songs, though my vocal teacher won't let me sing them.
Vote: Krowely Same reasons as Mazake
Unvote: Beau As Beau has left and it's unclear as to whether their position will be filled, I'll unvote. Going to wait for a bit to give out a new vote.
Since we could see the text in that chat, I tried this in my other chat room, they all think I've gone mad:
Vote: Beau My reasoning for this is neatly summed up by Makaze in this post Beau's inconsistent behaviour is lending himself to suspicion, and being that we already have a further 2 members voting for them and a NoLynch is not a preferable result, I believe that this may be a worthwhile course of action. I also feel like the whole work thing, while yes it is a valid point that many of us do need to go to work, it isn't much of a crutch to stand on at this stage of the game.
Hiya Kupos! So as part of our fundraising streams I'll be playing Antichamber! I'm going to start streaming in about 45 minutes so, when you have a chance please pop in our Twitch Channel! :)
Hiya Kupos! Just a reminder that I will be streaming AntiChamber later today at 3:00-4:00 EST. I'm going to post a quick thread in the Spamzone to let everyone know about 45 minutes before starting~
I would probably go for Maruish: She's not the most vocal, but she's observant enough to be a threat. Taking her out would be a more useful course of action, imo.
Ah, I forgot about that, sorry I'll make sure to remember next time. Thanks for letting me know.
I'm here, so sorry guys They'll probably try to target anyone who isn't suspicious or that the town thinks is suspicious as of now, since that would draw the attention away from that said person and possibly put it on one of them. They wouldn't kill suspicious people, they'll probably remain alive to function as a distraction from the real mafia. I don't think they would bother killing anyone the town suspects, since that would narrow in the field. It would be someone who is viewed either neutral or friendly. Edit: Just a thought; It probably won't be Mazkaze, What, Default, Beau, Marushi, or Trigger
Yup! Thanks so much ^__^
