Namine felt her heart skip a beat at Roxas' protectiveness, a sense of relief washing over her. Jeff wasn't going to get his hands on her, not while Roxas was here. She was more grateful that he stepped up then she could put into words, but she knew that now wasn't the time for thanks. Though he was caring enough to be protective of her at that moment, she could tell he was still furious. Jeff stared at Roxas, seeing how he was attempting to protect Namine. Pathetic. "Yeah?" he asked evenly, arching a brow. "Are you gonna make me pay, or are you gonna let your girlfriend do all the work for you?" He felt a sly smirk appear on his lips, the teen bringing Namine back into the conversation just to tick off Roxas even more than he already was.

Jeff got up off his butt quickly, eyes narrowed at the blond girl who had foiled him. "That wasn't a part of the deal!" he cried in outrage, hands tightened into fists. "You're gonna pay for that!" He was seriously ticked...how could a puny little girl like Namine execute a move like that so perfectly? Namine's eyes widened slightly at the threat, the girl feeling a pang of fear despite the bravery she felt a few moments ago. She took a few more steps back, stopping and standing next to Roxas for protection. Jeff was furious now, and she wasn't sure if he would come for her right away or not.

Jeff smiled widely, his eyes on Namine's the whole time. "You're the only one I want, anyway," he said. He released Kairi's wrists and then brought up his other hand, pressing it against her upper back and pushing her a few steps away from him but not knocking her to the ground. And then he stepped closer and brought up his arm so that he could wrap it around Namine's upper torso like he had before. Namine watched the whole scene unfold as if it were in slow motion, the girl focused on what she had to do. Roxas taught her self defense in the past, and she was about to prove to him that the training hadn't been a waste. When she saw Jeff try to wrap an arm around her, she ducked, going down low as she swept a leg at Jeff's legs from behind him, making him lose his balance, stumbling and then falling. While he was down, she rose to her feet and took a few steps back away from him, out of his reach and leaving Jeff without a "shield".

Jeff watched as Roxas stepped back and he felt a smile tug at his lips. "Nice doing business with you," he said to the boy. And then he turned his attention to Namine, who was standing just out of his reach. "C'mon, baby," he said with a smirk. "You're the one who suggested this, remember?" Namine took a step forward, eying Jeff carefully. "Okay, I'm here. So let go of Kairi," she said, staring directly into Jeff's eyes. "There's no way you could hold onto both of us at the same time, so just let her go and grab me instead."

Jeff shifted his grip on Kairi's wrists, holding them with one strong hand while the other one came up. "Stop," he ordered, showing the palm of his hand to the two blonds. Roxas must have thought he was an idiot if he was going to allow this "exchange" to happen with him standing right there. No way. Namine came to a stop a few feet away from Jeff, aware that Roxas had followed her. Please, just trust me, she thought, wishing she could verbally say the words to Roxas. But it was simply impossible for that to occur at that moment. "Roxas, back off," Jeff said, staring at the teen by Namine. Nothing was going to happen until he was a few more steps back. And if he didn't comply now, then when Jeff had Namine in his grasp, he would hurt her for her boyfriend's mistake.
We've been having conversations like this a lot lately. xDD
Namine wished she could tell Roxas that she wasn't really sacrificing herself, not like what he was thinking. But talking to him would gain unwanted attention by Jeff, and that in turn may have made him suspicious. She took a few steps forward, dragging her feet as she moved toward Jeff at a pace a little slower than a normal walk. Jeff glanced at Roxas and then looked to Namine, pleased with himself even though he didn't do anything. Just by having Namine come to him, he was making Roxas more miserable. That was super in his eyes, and he couldn't wait to see how much angrier he could make Roxas when he actually held Namine against him.

Jeff loosened his grip on Kairi slightly in surprise, the offer not being expected. But of course, Namine had a point. He had the pleasure of causing her pain in the past, so why not do it all over again and gain more pleasure. "Alright," he said with a nod. "Come here, sweetheart." Upon hearing the second nickname, Namine's other hand curled into a fist as well. But she didn't have much of a choice now; she wasn't about to back down. Kairi needed her to be strong, and so did Roxas and Nathan. If things went according to plan, Jeff would be in for a surprise.

Jeff let out a single laugh, his eyes landing on Namine. "What're you looking at?" he sneered. "You got something to say to me, baby?" Even though there were a few yards separating him from her and Roxas, he could see a certain look in her face, one of anger for her friend. Namine clenched her hand in a fist at the nickname, but she stood her ground despite the frustration and taunting. "Take me instead," she said evenly, holding Jeff's glare. "Kairi has nothing to do with this, and besides, you'd have a lot more "fun" having me instead of her. Right?" She knew that Jeff couldn't turn down her proposition, because everything she said was true. Jeff would hurt her any time he had the chance, and he wouldn't turn down this opportunity she was giving him.

Jeff shrugged slightly at Roxas' words. "Obviously she's involved now," he said, pointing out the obvious. Roxas had brought her into this when he allowed her to stay with him, so really, it was Roxas' fault if anything happened to her. Namine stared down Jeff, eyes showing a look of fear for her friend but determination to get her out of this. She had one idea that could change the way things were working out. It was dangerous and risky, but it was a chance she had to take for the sake of her friend.
