Namine exhaled a breath, her head resting on its side on Roxas' shoulder. She had to say it, just in case there was never another chance to. "Thank you," she whispered, subconsciously holding him a little tighter. But her embrace remained gentle, since her deeper-leveled thoughts were reminding her that Roxas was hurt.

The fist holding onto the front of Roxas' shirt finally came done, Namine lowering that arm so that she could gently wrap it around Roxas' back along with her other arm. She had so much to say to him. There were a lot of unspoken things in the air, but then again, a lot was said through her breakdown during the movie. One important thing hadn't been said yet, though, and that was "thank you". She would have told him that right away, but she was having trouble finding her voice.

Namine felt tears reappear in her eyes at Roxas' words, which she had thought was impossible. She shut her eyes and let her cheek rest on Roxas' shoulder, a soft breath leaving her lips as she felt him pull her closer to him. She was wishing she would have hugged him sooner; she felt so much more secure in his arms.

Namine brought one of her arms away from Roxas' chest, pulling it back a little bit and then lightly wrapping it around Roxas' back. She was just...so thankful that he was there with her. "You're my guardian angel," she whispered without thought, her emotions of gratitude coming through in her tone.

After a few minutes, Namine's tears finally ceased, her eyes running dry. Tears couldn't express what she was feeling anyway, so it didn't really matter that they were no long present. She sniffled without thought, then exhaling a deep breath.

Namine exhaled a shaky breath, at the same time allowing herself to become less tense at Roxas' words. He said she was alright...he promised she wouldn't be hurt again. She was safe. She leaned against him, not resisting the comfort that he was providing her with.

After a few moments of silence, Namine realized that she was no longer trembling, Roxas soothing her to the point that the sign of fright had vanished. She tightened her fist around Roxas' shirt, a sniffle leaving her. She wasn't sobbing, but she wasn't done crying, either. She couldn't believe it...she had looked death in the eye and lived. But only because of her guardian angel.

Namine swallowed hard, a ragged breath leaving her lips after that. She was safe; she wasn't in danger. Jeff and his gun were nowhere near her, and that boy would never come back. She had seen and heard everything that happened after Roxas saved her life, and she had caught a glimpse of the sheer terror on Jeff's face. He was never going to bother her again.

Namine felt her shoulders sag slightly, hearing Roxas say the words "you're safe." And then she heard his promise...that Jeff was never going to hurt her again. She lightly grabbed Roxas' shirt with one of her fists, tears continuing to flow but her sobs softening a little bit.

Namine heard the words, and she knew that they were meant to calm her down, but nothing could stop the flood of emotions now. A ragged sob left her lips, tears flowing down her cheeks a rapid pace as she continued shaking. Jeff tried to kill me! she thought, finally putting it into words for the first time. I almost died! In her eyes, that gave her enough reason to be an emotional wreck, and that was exactly what she was.
