You Are More- The Letter Black
'Ello there. =)
Sora looked down at the ground, forcing a weak smile. He desperately wanted to see Kairi, but did she want to see him? He had been forced to leave her alone for four months; he didn't know if their relationship changed over that time. He loved her as much as he always had, if not more, but what was she feeling?
"Ultimately, it's up to Kairi," Leon said, looking at the brunet a few feet away. "But you have a say in it too; if you feel you can't protect her any longer, then she would have to come to Hollow Bastion." "I'll talk to her about it when I have a chance to," Sora said with a nod. He knew that he wouldn't have a problem protecting her in the future, especially because of his new-found strength. But if Kairi wanted to live in Hollow Bastion for some reason, then he wouldn't stop her. Leon nodded, glad that Sora wasn't getting worked up over the person he loved. Sora had really matured in the past few months, and it showed. "You should head home as soon as possible," he said, changing the subject. "You've been away for four months; you shouldn't stay away any longer.
Okie dokie. I'm gonna get off now. See you later!
"It involves Kairi," Leon said, a little cautious when he noticed Sora stiffen. Nevertheless, he continued. "You've told me you've had your fair share of troubles protecting her, and how you've nearly been killed in the process." Sora clenched his hands into tight fists, staring at Leon as he listened. Yes, he had gone through many times where he had to protect Kairi. Yes, he had nearly gotten killed once or twice. But what was Leon getting at? "We would like to offer both of you the chance to put those days behind you," Leon continued. "You wouldn't have to protect Kairi anymore; she would live here, at Hollow Bastion. I would be in charge of her protection, but I would have help from everyone else as well." He saw the look in Sora's eye, and he felt the need to elaborate. "Not because you've failed in any way; but because she's a Princess. Surely you see how important it is that we don't take any chances with her." Sora nodded absently, the logic making him understand it. Kairi did get into trouble because of her title, but he had always been able to protect her. However, would she be safer if she were with Leon? Would she go through less pain if she had more protectors?
Exhibition- Falling Up
That could be. *Shrug* Like you said, we can sleep on it and figure out what our best course is.
Leon turned his gaze to Sora, remembering something else that the King had said in his letter. This one involved Sora a lot more than Riku, so he needed to get the kid's attention before he said it. "Sora? There's something else I need to talk to you about." Sora lifted his head, turning his body a little bit so that he was facing Leon more. "What is it?" he asked, his voice serious and all-business. He was still in shock that he was going home, but he was going to listen carefully to what it was Leon had to say.
What if it's during the Prince thing? Like, there's a waiting period, when Kairi is considering living in Hollow Bastion or allowing Sora to keep...
Leon nodded to Riku, not looking over at Sora. The kid obviously was surprised that he was going home, and he needed space. Leon would respect that, because if he were in that position, he would want the same thing. "Good luck," he said to the silver-haired teen. "You know you've got a place to come if you're ever in over your head." Riku wasn't just a friend of Sora's; Leon considered him a personal friend. And if Riku ever needed anything, he could come to him.
Broken One- Ashes Remain
Yeah, I suppose it would. *Sigh* I just don't know what to do. =/ It doesn't help that I'm tired; I'm gonna go to bed soon.
Sora lowered his head, looking down at the ground. Everything that Riku said was true, and there was no way that Sora could distort any of that so that he had a reason not to go home. He was going to be...normal. He didn't know what that meant anymore. He didn't know what home felt like, or if he would be able to live comfortably after all the things he saw, went through, or remembered. But that didn't matter, because no matter what, he was returning to New York City.

'Kay. I do have one idea...sorta. After Namine and Roxas discuss C.O., Sora can be in Namine's house another day talking to her about his memories...
Sora heard Riku's declaration, and he clenched his right hand into a fist. He knew he didn't stand a chance against Riku, but he felt like he had to put up a fight anyway; he didn't know if he could live a normal life anymore. He didn't know if he could be the person that Kairi loved. "...The Heartless are stronger than when you were by yourself," he pointed out, thinking of something that would possibly affect Riku's decision to go alone.
Perhaps we could just tone it down a little bit? We could lead up to it, but I think having the two of them summon Keyblades is a little...extreme.
Sora arched a brow, a frown appearing on his lips. "Things you have to do? By yourself?" he asked, concerned. Riku was strong, but it was always good to have an ally in battle. If Riku needed somebody to tag along, then Sora would have to hold off on going home. If that was what his friend required, then he would be there as a fighting comrade for a little while longer.
