Beast lay before them, wounded and weak with shallow breathe. The night sky let on a down pour of rain, from the cluster of clouds that loomed over them as the group watched Belle comfort Beast. The bond between the two was clear as stagnant waters. Belle held Beast close, soothing him with her soft delicate voice. It was a bittersweet moment, one that D'daear just had to accept. The keyblade disappeared in its usual display of celestial light, leaving his hands free for him to place behind his head. He wasn't too happy at everything that had just occurred, what with Gaston's demise, and Beast getting hurt. This was all new to him, this gloomy scenery, and yet somehow he was able to endure it as if he had been accustomed to it through countless moments just like this one. Blue irises followed Belle's form as she walked back into the ballroom, scudding for bandages. Soon enough, he let the attention fall, drifting into his own mind-scape while taking steps towards the railing that bordered the stone balcony. Dull. That's how he felt now. He placed his forearms on the stone railing, letting his shoulders droop as he leaned forward, staring down at the ravine below. The cloudy sky flashed with lightning, with the earth trembling soon enough. Why was he feeling this way? Just moments ago he was enthusiastic, and willing to take on anything thrown his way. So why? Perhaps it was his first time seeing someone...disappear from existence, or could it be that he was disappointed at their failure at protecting the Master of this castle. He gritted his teeth, eyebrows furrowing in frustration. "Why am I feeling like this?" ethereal thoughts manifested, beginning to question. This feeling, this emotion...it was all so new to him. It was sadness, nor disappointment.

The home-world that was his own. It was a world where peace was constant, and undisturbed. Where everyone got along just fine, without fears, or worries. Everything was fair, and everyone cared. A Utopia unscathed by the troubles that echoed throughout the realm of light. Things like this never happened where he used to live...used too.

D'daear willed his right palm to face up, inevitably forcing the radius bone to tilt his forearm as well. He stared deeply into his palm, wondering just where was this new life taking him. A another bolt of lightning lit the dark skies, the sound reverberating loudly through everything.

Suddenly, loud noise emanated from within the ballroom. It was a cackle and persistent heels galloping, approaching rather fast. It was enough of a commotion to stir everyone behind him to life. He came too, fast enough for his eyes to catch sight of a dark portal arise from the ground, blocking any attempt of him possibly identifying the source of the commotion. Kross came to action a tad bit too late, his keyblade slamming against a now empty floor. Soon Luna began to shout over the balcony, the desperation in her voice clearly visible. D'daear removed himself from his self-pity for the moment, snapping into action. He followed Luna's gaze down to the courtyard, where evidently the other group was. Another void of darkness had erupted just in-front of the other group, where the culprit emerged.
It was a rider on its steed, riding off with Beast's beloved. Wide eye'd, D'daear groaned, clentching hands tightly on the railing. This visit was just going horribly wrong.

    ----------

It was only a while before the group had apparently finally merged, with Vincent now taking the initiative to stay behind to tend to beast. D'daear stood in the midst of them all, watching Krowley stare deeply into a magical hand-held mirror. It seemed he had found their next destination. The young keyblade wielder curled his hands into a tight fist, brows furrows with determination in his eyes. Giving a nod of acknowledgement to Krowley, he was ready to head out towards wherever it was they needed to be. Hopefully, they could save Belle.

The keybearer D'daear took no time to express his feelings in what could've been a victory fanfare. He quickly ran up to Steel and nudged him violently. The moment he would open his eyes, he would be off towards the balcony with the assumption that Steel would pick himself up. It's not that D'daear was unkind, but Steel was a strong individual, and considering the situation with the heartless, he felt rushed. The heartless had ran off, attempting to escape. It was a crafty creature, as it apparently had plans to escape with a hostage: Beast. This was something the young warrior would NOT have. They fought so hard to protect Beast and Belle, and now this thing was going to try and pull a fast one on their victory? No. He was sure as heck going to do all in his power to prevent a sad ending in this fairytale. Impulses surged throughout his form as he increased the pace in his sprint. The creature had already slammed its way past the balcony entrance by the time D'daear had even started running. Now as he approached, he heard a loud Roar emanate from outside. It was Beast's powerful bellow, which from the silhouette his blue irises could make out, had rendered the heartless immobile and defeated. Luna had already made her way past the doors which were now only a yard away from him. Shouting had begun to ensue. A desire to find out finally led him out the balcony door, coming to a slowing halt as he now stood before an immobile Beast, Luna, and strange man bearing a hunting knife, bow, and quiver of arrows A simple observation entailed D'daear that this man was not a friendly, as Luna stared angrily at the man while keeping herself in between him and the Beast.Without a second thought D'daear took offensive stance, staring at the man.

"Hey! Drop the knife! You're clearly outnumbered here. In fact, there's two more heading this way." he let on, hoping to use reason to convince the man.

Freedom had been restored to D'daear's feet with the end of the tar cycle. With that nuisance out of the way, everyone was free to rush the boss and inflict all they could. Both Kross and Luna had taken the initiative to attack the heartless with close quarters combat, to which D'daear felt a stir of excitement. This was further amplified with Beast's roar which sent chills down the heartless's spin. His muscles twitched with energy that was gathering within him. In a split second he leaned his weight forward, and launched off his position with his feet, darting towards the boss. The battle had been dragging on for so long; it was time to bring it a step closer to its end. Getting in real close, D'daear unleashed a flurry of hits onto the creature. Nothing spectacular in the sense of style.

Blue eyes stared in contained frustration at the large heartless, dull in the current predicament everyone was in. It seemed everyone had known exactly what to do, except himself. Steel, Luna, and Kross had all done something magical which enabled them to keep active during the prolonged moment. Options, that's what everyone needed, and unfortunately for D'daear that was something he lacked. With a dulled sigh, curiosity turned his attention to Beast, whom stood there motionless. What was he thinking? How was he feeling right now? Oh how D'daear understood the man-beast's motionless silence, being confined to the tar substance. It seemed the two had a lot in common in terms of limitations regarding ranged combat. Beast only had his powerful bellow, whereas he himself only knew how to fling his keyblade; which really took the energy out of his arm for a while. Once more his eyes peered down at his restrained ankles. He had stopped resisting the tar that was keeping him at bay. Every muscle in his body was crying out agitated silence at the lack of moment as he submitted to the only possibility: To stand still and do nothing. Knees buckled into a low crouch, tucking his knees close to his chest while he wrapped his arms around himself. The essence of gloom over took him, cheeks and lips dropping in his poor moment of action. "Aaw maaaaaan...."

Signals of defiance coursed through his body and onto his legs as D'daear attempted to get free of the tar that surrounded his ankles. They had all done their part at restoring the teams strength, but with the tar hindering their mobility, that was all they could do. Kross however had abilities that were more than capable, even with restrained feet, and managed to find a way to bring harm to the creatures health. He shouted his spell, and summoned bolts of lightning onto the invader. Widened blue irises kept watch at the display of ingenuity, and caused D'daear's lips to stretch in happiness. "Not bad, Kross!" came D'daear's loud voice, possibly echoing due to the vast rooms acoustics. Their mobility may have been hindered for the moment, but they could still attack with range. Forearm muscles tightened in expression to the young keyblade wielders grip, closing any small gaps between his fingers and the handle of his weapon. A strike from him would have to come from his keyblade; since he at the moment knew no other magic other than the close quarter mines that presently surrounded him. Determined to strike, the enemy was now reflecting off the center of his corneas with eyebrows deeply furrowed in concentration. Lifting his armed hand to three o clock position just behind him, he gathered everything he had and swung his arm forward, timing it just right so that the muscles controlling his grip would loosen up, and release the hold on the keyblade, sending it spiraling like a disk towards the time manipulated Heartless.

I thought Xion was an inbetween type of boss, because I didn't have trouble fighting against her, but at the same time it took some effort. At the end of it all, I ended up feeling sorry for both. Let's face it, Roxas wanted none of this. All he wanted was to be with his two friends, and in the end Xion was stripped from him, and he ended up leaving Axel behind because....I forgot the real reason. At anyrate, it makes sense as to WHY Roxas when all V for Vendetta in the end with the hood and dual wielding.

Axel I felt sorry for because we do see that he DOES care for Roxas; his last words when Roxas passes by him in the streets. Xion didn't bother me for I knew she was a necessary character for further development; let's face it...without Xion the game would really have nothing going for it in terms of story.

I don't remember too much about Hayner, Pence, and ollete in terms of roles in THAT game, but I do feel they should've given Mickey a better role, or at least elaborated more on just WHAT exactly he was doing. I mean we see Riku do his thing, so why not Mickey...

Nothing really ticked me off in particular, but I did find the missions to become rather repetitive...which made me just want to get the story over with. I also disliked the fact that multiplayer mode wasn't so mulitplayer; at least with my case...I practically solo'd every mission with Saix... *Insert sad face*

The Dark Thorn's last attack had left everyone weakened. One thing was being hit by the possessor, but that big bad Heartless? Now that was a completely different story. Slouching on his knees, D'daear settled the tip of his keyblade on the floor while leaning on it with his head hung low. "Didn't think that big one had it in him..." he uttered, slowly looking up at the invader. He couldn't give up, though. Not while his friends were on the line. Suddenly, everything began to play out. Steel had once again BOUGHT them some time with his mighty Stop spell. The boss now stood still, falling prey to the magic that was Steels. His morale was beginning to rise again, especially when he felt a surge of wind surround him. Shocked at first, he no sooner realized that it was all part of the unbreakable teamwork between them. And the gifts of life just kept pouring in! After Luna had cast a protective wind barrier around him, Kross had jumped in as well and healed him with his magic!

It felt great to have teammates he could depend on. Now it was his turn to return the favor. With a boosted morale, he rose from his crouch and rummaged his pockets for his mega-potion. "Thanks guys! Here!" he said out loud with joy.

D'daear barely managed to bring up his keyblade in time to diverge some of the damage that would have otherwise REALLY hurt. The young man went off, his soles skidding against the floor from the hit. "Ow!" D'daear uttered. It was alright, it was only a flesh wound. Shaking the damage off, he tightened his keyblade. He watched as his teammates began to work together to take out the possessors, one of them even taking out the one that had hurt him. "Thanks!" the young man acknowledged. Now it was HIS turn. He ran up to a possessor, and swung his keyblade with unrefined swordsmanship. "Take this!" he shouted.

D'daear could see the Dark thorn waning in strength. Everyone was giving it their all to take this monstrous invader down. By the looks of things, they were all doing pretty sweet job at it. D'daear grinned happily. The fight wasn't over, but he somehow felt inspired. Magic wasn't his strong suit, but now was as best a time as ever to give it a shot; especially since he was behind the wall of servants. He lifted his keyblade to the air, and focused his power to the tip of the keyblade. Light gathered momentarily before dissipating in a small wave in the air. No sooner did that happen, that mine squares were formed around the Dark thorns perimeter, alongside Kross's Mine Squares.

D'daear lunged himself at the Dark thorn that had re-emerged from who knows where. The team was doing really well, and he hoped that they could keep up the momentum they had built in terms of damage. The would be hero slammed his keyblade at the large heartless like a hammer as the start of his hits. The Beast had spoken, and watching his servants take the hits like that was painful to watch. Sure they were transformed into objects, but even still...it had to hurt. "Those are Beast's friends you're hitting!!" he shouted furiously at the invader. He spun around to gather force, the keyblade swinging left, then right horizontally like a baseball.

With good teamwork, and quick precise hits, the group made quick work of the minions the large heartless had summoned. It was now in hiding, doing who knows what while its underlings did some of the work. Luna, Beast, Steel, and Kross had done an amazing job at taking down the possessors. Kross activated one of his spells on the remaining Possessor. It seemed to have felt the surge of electrical force brought on by Kross's Thunder spell, yet was resilient enough to stay in form. "I got this!" shouted D'daear. The young keyblader dashed towards the weakened creature, and whaled on it with all he had, swing his blade the same he had done on the Dark thorns knee.

    Caius Ballad.
    WARNING Might contain spoilers
Reasons: He's the only one; aside from Noel, who actually has a decent back-story and a reason for what he's doing as a villain. Want to know something else? When you think about it, he's not really a villian when you sit down and digest the story of XIII-2. He becomes a more sympathetic antagonist, whom despite him no longer caring of what happens to time and space, he just ultimately wants to do two things: A) Keep Yeul from dying & B) Thinks of his Guardianship as a curse, thus begins to instigate Noel to strip him of his Heart of Chaos(Noel is his successor).

So although he's selfish, through his perception, he is doing all of this for a good reason.

"Looks like I'm up!" uttered D'daear as he ran past Kross, evidently meeting him half way. There was a snicker on the young keyblade wielders face. Having the large heartless stand still for this long sort of encouraged him. It was like all sense of danger had disappeared for the moment, as the fear of retaliation had been stopped for a good while. As he came within striking range, D'daear decided to inflict a series of hits to the creatures lower body; considering how tall the heartless is and all. First he bridged the gap between them with a forward lunge using one hand, tip of the keyblade aimed at the creatures knee. Next, just as the blade stabbed, he placed his free hand on the handle, and utilizing his upper body strength, he sliced upward into a vertical slash; his motion appearing to be like a common Volleyball bump. The power distributed, and the weight of the keyblade would lift D'daear of his feet only a few centimeters of the ground, but it was all he needed for his next hit. Immediately upon landing with half-steps, he would jump in place and twist his body to the left, effectively gathering momentum with his keyblade to finish off the combo with a vertical slash utilizing a one handed swing. The method of which he landed each hit was rather unorthodox to swordsmen, but then again he was new to all this. Upon finishing he would run back to safety of the wall.

Everyone around him was now waging battle against the heartless that threatened this castle. It was amazing how everyone worked together to bring down the large monstrous heartless that stood before them. Steel having been the fastest, had cast a spell; the same spell in which he had used on the smaller possessors back when they were brawling with the sixty. He had used the same spell back then on a few of them to help give D'daear an edge in the fight; we was new to all this after all. Seeing how powerful the magic was, it still amazed D'daear. Steel could even stop time surrounding a monster of this caliber! Then it was Luna, and Kross's turn. They all had style, and technique which he looked up too; considering he was still new. "Just how far do I have to go to catch up to them?" he pondered while multi-tasking as he ran past the fortress that had been constructed on Beast's command, and with an attempt at style, slammed the tip of his keyblade on the floor whilst using his forward moment to pivot on the tip of the blade like a dancer's pole. Reaching full cycle on the swing, he pushed off the floor by commanding the muscles in his arm to grip the weapon tight, and exert the force needed to push using the tip of the of the blade. With the current moment, and proper force utilize to push of the floor, he managed to slide on the ballroom floor towards the motionless heartless. He slammed through the monster with all he had, inevitably his joy ride ending a few feet away. He quickly ran back to the safety of the wall of servants, wondering if he had done any good with all that.

It was so abrupt, so sudden that D'daear only had enough time to flinch at the monstrous form that passed over his group. A loud thud emanated from behind him while he had his eyes shut and arms in front in a warding gesture. When he came to it, the doors in front of him were wide open with Base knocked down. "Base!" he shouted, wide eyes fixated on his form for a brief second before being drawn to the incoming party just outside the castle. Even from the stairs D'daear could make out the large contraption that had rammed through the castle gates. It was ridiculous. A mob lit the area as the approached just behind a man on his steed. It didn't take a genius to realize that was probably Gaston.

"To Arms!" shouted Base as he charged to the front of the battle. His instinct drew him to run towards his mentor, but logic held him back as he knew Belle and Beast needed him, as well as his group. He gritted his teeth at the tug of war that went on in his mind. The mob, Gaston, and the machine...it looked like a lot for them to handle. In end, however, he trusted they could all handle the endeavor. Trying to put his mind at ease, he turned to the group that had now gone off ahead of him towards the ballroom. His eyebrows furrowed in frustration, letting out a groan of displeasure towards the situation as he turned and ran towards the ballroom. He ran past the doors and stopped just behind the group while Beast made his comment. The room was indeed empty, with a grand dance floor and columns lined up by the walls which held up some form of indoor balcony. The dark form soon emerged from nowhere and formed into a creature like none he'd ever seen. Immediately the Kingdom Key keyblade formed itself in his hand. Amazingly enough he didn't even have to put forth much effort like he used to.

"Practice..." was all he uttered as he got into his battle stance whilst glaring at the creature that was now daring to disturb Belle's and Beast's happy reunion. The Beast let out a reverberating roar that echoed in the room. It was a call to arms.

He was aware of what was going on between Luna, Karina, Steel, Eon, and Base. Both Base and Eon were talking, getting to know one another, while Luna had spoken a few words of good will to Karina, even going as far as handing her a personal good luck charm. D'daear hid his smile. "Awesome. Glad to see they're getting along." he thought, thinking back on when Luna had instigated a fight with Karina outside the castle. It was a random occurrence indeed, but at this point it was now meaningless. Water under the bridge, as some would say. His irises turned towards both Eon and Base, whom were exchanging words amongst themselves. Watching his mentor, he decided it'd be best to get to know his new comrade whom he'd be escorting Belle alongside with. Feeling the enthusiasm in Kross's voice, D'daear nodded. "Yeah! We should get going now." he advised, supporting Kross's gesture. "By the way, I'm D'daear. You're Kross...right?" he inquired, his whole body turned to the mentioned person.

To be Frank, the only ones that probably wanted a heart were maybe the ones who weren't in on the REAL operation; which was to get 13 vessels to distribute Master Xehanort's hearts too. I say maybe because Marluxia was planning to take over the Org. XIII along with Larxene. Everyone else was sort of just hanging out and doing what they were told. Vague response, but really there isn't much of an answer to that since the whole point of Organization XIII was; again, for the purpose of gathering XIII vessels to harbor Master Xehanorts Heart.
