Sora continued to lightly run his hand over Kairi's shoulder when she leaned into him, a soft smile staying on the brunet's lips as he shifted his gaze to the ground. He hadn't smiled in a long time, so it felt good to relax and enjoy a time of peace.
I beat him all the time. xD Once you fight him a few times, his moves are very predictable. And it probably helps that I leveled myself up to about level 20 on Destiny Islands. xP
Oh...I see. xD I like it; let's do it.
Sora offered Kairi a soft smile, the brunet running his hand over her shoulder without thought. It had been a long time since he held her last just because he could, but this was a strange type of familiar to him. It had been over four months, but at the same time, he had never forgotten the feeling of having her close.
I'm slightly confused. xD With Kairi going to the kitchen, Namine would come with, but then after Kairi talked to her, she would call in Roxas?
Sora glanced down at Kairi, his smirk fading when he noticed that she was looking at Namine with concern in her eyes. Without thought, he brought her a little closer to him, trying to draw her attention away from Namine. He didn't know exactly what was going on in Namine's head, but she probably wouldn't have liked knowing that people were staring at her. Namine readjusted her grip on her hands, slightly aware the the room was quiet now. She glanced up and saw Sora looking down at Kairi, but she didn't bother turning her head the other way and seeing Roxas. She lowered her head again, just staring at her hands. Even if the room was quiet, she had nothing to say to change that.
And if we don't come up with something, then we can make something out of the two ideas your presented. xD
Sora chuckled, shaking his head and lightly shrugging, his hand coming off Kairi's shoulder briefly with the motion before it went back down. "Whatever you say, Roxas," he said, his smirk staying on his lips as he looked at his friend. Namine didn't know why she couldn't be happy herself; she just felt...empty. It had been a long week, but she normally didn't let stress appear on the surface, especially when she was hanging out with friends. She hated coming across as the weakest person in the group, or the most fragile.
Doesn't matter to me. xDD
"Chicken, Roxas?" Sora inquired, arching a brow at the blond boy sitting in his own chair. He noticed Namine sitting quietly on the couch by herself, but he left that alone, figuring that there was a reason behind it. He focused on Roxas instead, trying to keep this light moment going. No, it surely doesn't have anything to do with me being present in the room, Namine decided, looking down at her folded hands. Roxas was probably just happy because he wanted to be happy. He was like that, sometimes. He could either be cheerful for no reason or gloomy for no reason; Namine had gotten used to his different moods, though she wasn't used to seeing him so goofy.
Um...nope, I don't think I've come up with anything. How about you?
"To remind you who you're dealing with," Sora said, a smirk widening on his lips. He was surprised he was having a conversation like this with Roxas, but hey, he wasn't opposed to it. It was about time something lighthearted took place. Namine was looking down at her lap, subtly listening into the boys' playful banter. She was glad to hear them interacting that way, especially after the argument they had just a few days. It was a wonder to her how they could bounce back so quickly. Namine recognized that for Sora, it was probably Kairi's presence. But what was Roxas's catalyst?

Ah, I see. xD
Sora rolled his eyes, at the same time wrapping an arm around Kairi's shoulders. "Oh please!" he said, a small smirk on his lips as he looked to Roxas. "I can easily outrun you. Anytime, anywhere." It was a challenge now, but knowing Roxas, he wouldn't let the race happen until Sora was fully healed.
Right. xD Sorry, but I meant I wasn't sure why you put it in quotes before.
"Alright," Sora said with a faint smirk. "Give me a week off these crutches and we'll have to have a race or something." He smiled and took a few steps over, sitting himself down next to Kairi and then leaning his crutches against the side of the couch before he turned back to Roxas.
"Serious"?
Sora shrugged lightly, though he kept his grip on the crutches. "I think I could get away with dropping the crutches long enough to catch you," he said, a faint smirk tugging at his lips. Of course, he wouldn't actually do it; he couldn't risk his ankle getting re-injured, especially now that he was officially Kairi's protector again.
