Namine folded her hands in her lap, only undoing the her grip when she felt a tear escape her eye. She brought up a hand and wiped at it immediately, saddened that Roxas didn't believe her. She thought things had been going well between the two of them, but apparently not. Sora had caught onto Roxas' glare and stared back at him until his Nobody was out of the room. He stared down at the couch, surprised at how Roxas had pointed the finger at Namine like that. "Has he done that before?" he asked softly, not looking up. "...Yes," Namine said softly, sadness coming through in her voice. This wasn't the first time Roxas lost his temper, and it wasn't the first time it had happened to her. She was always so sad when she was put into that position by him, but she had promised him that she would love him no matter what. Some days, though, that was a hard promise to keep.
Then is that what we're going with?
Namine shook her head again, keeping her gaze on the ground. You can't deal with any more lies, and I can't deal with talking about this anymore, she thought sadly. She didn't want to think about anything that occurred at Castle Oblivion; she wanted to act as if it never happened. Obviously, though, Roxas wasn't going to let that happen. Why did he force this kind of stuff upon her when it obviously brought her pain?
Hmm, I'd rather not have them be upset with each other that long. =/ Do you remember we said Roxas would be over at Sora's house when Kairi comes...
Alright, we'll go with that. But how will this be resolved?
I see what you mean. =/ Perhaps we could just say that Roxas doesn't completely believe what Namine just said, and he can storm out? How does that...
I viewed it as a friendship. xD But...uh, what do we do now? I don't think either of us is going to change the way we view things...

Namine shook her head softly, gazing down at the ground. "...No, I didn't," she said quietly. "I knew all along that I wasn't anybody he could ever love, so I didn't view him as anything more than a friend who saved me in my time of need." That was the honest truth; she hadn't loved Sora because she knew he could never love her back. She was only a Nobody, after all.
Oh? What's the idea?
Namine swallowed hard, seeing the harshness in Roxas' eyes as well as hearing it in his voice. "I wanted to be free," she whispered, her eyes moist at the memory of Castle Oblivion. The place had been absolutely awful to her, and she had been awful to Sora there. It wasn't fair that after so long, it had to be brought up. She had thought she put it behind her, but talking about it now made her realize she had only ignored it, not moved past it.
I didn't copy it either. xD I'll get on that now.
Namine blinked at Roxas' tone, and the harsh mention of her. She knew that it wasn't directed at her, but it was bad enough that she was being spoken about. "Roxas," she squeaked, protesting against this conversation. This wasn't something she wanted to be reminded about. Sora, being too far away from Namine to hear her protest, answered Roxas' question. "Like I would have felt for Kairi!" he said through his teeth. "That was how it was set up, so that I would make it to the top and save Namine from the Organization. And it worked; I freed the love of your life. Happy?"
Yuppers. ;3 So, let's just get the future plot line out in the open. xP After this whole thing, we jump a few days ahead, to Valentine's Day....
"Before?" Sora repeated, arching a brow in confusion. He wasn't quite sure what Roxas meant by that. Everything else, though, was clear. Sora didn't like what Roxas was driving at, but he feared that if he said his thoughts directly about Namine at the time, it would only make things more heated.

Sora glanced at Namine before he looked back at Roxas. "What you saw was me reacting to the memories I gained," he said in a low tone of voice, defensive. "I was confused and, like you said, under a spell." But he had obviously overcome that; couldn't Roxas see that he only viewed Namine as a friend? Namine looked back and forth between the two boys, figuring out that they were talking about her. Castle Oblivion, and how Namine had been forced to give Sora misleading memories about her so that he would rescue her. That must have been the "spell" Roxas referred to a minute ago, and the one that Sora just mentioned. But what did Roxas mean when he said he "saw" everything?
